Is the memory expandable beyond the 8mb that comes with it?

This model is not user upgradable. A certified technician must do all of the work, so as to not void the warranty. The maximum RAM this system can support is 12GB, so your certified technician can replace 4GB of RAM (the other 4GB is soldered to the motherboard).

Can an “external” screen/monitor be attached? Quite often someone on the other side of my desk needs to see what I’m seeing.

Looking at this for my kids for readingeggs, mathletics, complete half an hour of homework every night. Also 4 long car rides, watch movies, possibly stream nextflix & maybe play some games. Can u download games like on an iPad? Will this suit them? Thx
