I'm using this laptop. The 256gb SSD drive falls short to store media. The laptop has a card reader slot. My questions: 1. Should I swap the SSD drive for a higher capacity or insert a SD card instead? 2. Max capacity for SD card that can be used?

It is really dependent on your needs. You can use external storage drives, like an SD card but most programs can not be installed on a portable/external drive. So if you need the extra space for programs, external drives won't work. This model is not user upgradable. A certified technician must do all of the work, so as to not void the warranty. You will need to contact a certified technician to replace the SSD, but you will be able to install programs to a new internal SSD. This Windows 10 64-bit system can support up to 512GB SD cards.

This model is not user upgradable. A certified technician must do all of the work, so as to not void the warranty. 4GB of RAM are soldered to the motherboard and can't be removed. Your certified technician can remove 4GB from the memory slot and replace it with 8GB for a total of 12GB of RAM. Also your certified technician can replace the hard drive with a larger compatible drive. With regard to Sims 4, it will depend on the requirements of the game. We recommend you check with the game's software publisher's web site for their compatibility with Windows 10 Home 64-bit operating system and the minimum/recommended hardware requirements (Is a Graphics card required, the processor speed and the minimum required system RAM and the minimum available hard drive space) to run their program, then compare those requirements to this system's configuration.
