Hi there, I am trying to decide on this version or the 7th gen i5. What I will use it for: Main use : opening up one basic spreadsheet for a personal budget and updating budget. Sub use: comic reading (app) And lastly Netflix. No games or photo edit.

Obviously the Intel Core I-5 processor will give you more performance than the Intel Pentium processor. The work you describe can be performed by the Pentium processor. As for as the APP you use for comic reading, that will depend on the requirements of that APP. Check the APP's requirements as to whether the Pentium processor is compatible. You might notice some buffering while streaming Netflix content. This will depend on the speed of your internet connection, as well as the capabilities of the processor.
