Sorry but quite confused on the ram upgrade part . I could see from one of the answers that it is upgradable to 16 GB but need a tech help . Can you please confirm the number of slots on this laptop for ram and also if soldering is required to upgrade

This system is not user upgradable. There are no open slots. The maximum RAM this system can support is 16GB.

Would this computer be slow transferring media files via usb jump drive and downloading files onto the jump drive?

Since both the Flash drive and this device use solid state memory, this transfer process should be normal to fast, depending on the size of the files and the total amount of data transferred.

It's not possible to add external RAM to LenovoFlex3, it uses Windows 10 Home 32-bit version as its operating system 2GB of RAM is adequate I keep getting message can't install updates.I was told I need more memory.What can I do? I've deleted everything.

That sounds like a hard drive issue, the 64GB solid state hard drive must not have enough available space for the updates. You may need to remove programs that have been installed. That is all you can do other than adding an SD card to increase storage space. Windows updates must go on the internal drive though.

Since 2GB onboard system memory can't be expanded on my Lenovo - Flex 3 can I buy external memory? And if I can what brand, how much will I need and about how much will it cost?

It is not possible to add external RAM to this system. This device uses Windows 10 Home 32-bit version as its operating system which makes the 2GB of RAM adequate.

That means each of the two cores acts as a separate dual-core processor, so the physical dual core processor functions as if it were actually a quad core processor, generating less heat than a comparable quad core processor.
