There is a charger. The laptop has a touchpad that functions as the mouse on this system (you can use a mouse if you want one). There is no case with this system.

Will this laptop work with TurboTax from CD if i use a external cd/dvd drive?

There are 2 4GB RAM cards in this system now, so you will need to replace both with two 8GB cards to get to 16GB of RAM. This system requirement DDR4 RAM.

The battery in this system is internal. Batteries, with proper use should last 4 to 6 years. Cost today for a replacement battery is approximately $150.00.
