There should be pre-set adjustments to the Dolby Equalizer as well as on and off. Take another look in your Dolby "settings".

As long as the brother printer connection is USB, you can connect it to this system. You will need to install the latest Brother Drivers compatible with Windows 10 on to this system as well.
