Is it possible to upgrade the memory? I understand that this laptop has two slots, and 2 GB is soldered in the first slot. Is that correct? Please clarify memory upgrade possibilities.

Best Answer

A certified technician can upgrade the RAM on this system to 4GB. There is no open slot, the existing 2GB stick will have to be replaced, it is not soldered in. The work must be done by a certified technician, so as to not void the warranty.

In typing letters, I'm finding that the keyboard is solid enough, but it seems very "touchy" in. It's feel. The cursor seems to have a mind of its own, and if I pause too long, I end up typing on the wrong line. Are there ways to adjust this?

It sounds like you are brushing the touchpad as you type. You can adjust the touchpad settings in your system settings. Select the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your desktop screen. Type "touchpad" in the search box. Select "mouse and touchpad settings". Then make your adjustments and save.

Try reinstalling Google Chrome. There should not be lag with this configuration. Check what is running in the background when Google Chrome is open.

No, this system does not have an open bay for a second hard drive.
