The hinge design of this Lenovo Yoga laptop lets you find a comfortable position for work or browsing.

I would like to use the laptop with an external monitor (1 maybe 2). Does this laptop have that capability? Does it have a docking station accessory?

This system has a Mini-HDMI-Out port for video. If you want 2 monitors you can use a USB 3.0 port with an adapter, converting it to either HDMI-out or VGA. There is no docking station made for this system but you can use a universal port replicator.

Is Windows 10 on this laptop and is there a cd disk drawer on the side?

Yes, this system comes with Windows 10 Home. No, there is no CD/DVD reader-writer on this system, but you can use an external CD/DVD reader-writer by plugging in to one of the USB ports.

Can the CPU be upgrade to a i7 quad, and can the video card be upgraded as well?

No, the power supply and motherboard on this system are paired to the dual-core I-7 processor. The same is true for the video card.

Can I install NBC to watch my soap opera?

Check with the NBC web site for compatibility with the Chrome Operating System this device uses and the other requirements, both minimum and recommended, the network has to stream their programing.

Is anyone else experiencing a warm spot on the right side of the laptop on the bottom between the volume buttons and the USB port? It is noticeably hotter than everywhere else on the laptop and continues to be warm even when the laptop is in sleep.

This is the location of the motherboard and processor, they are the main source of heat within the system and would be expected to be warmer than any other part of the computer. It will remain warm while asleep because even though the computer is at "sleep" the processor and motherboard remain on at minimum power.

How many frames will I get playing GTA 5 on this laptop?

That depends on the graphic settings you use for the game. The NVIDIA GeForce 940MX graphics card within this system is capable of a maximum of 102 FRS on low setting down to 18 FRS at maximum graphics setting.
