What's the difference between a Men's HRM and Women's? If no real difference in readings, can a women wear the "Men's" watch?

There is no functional difference between the unisex and female versions of the FT4. The cosmetic look (colors & shorter wrist band) is what separates the female version from the rest. - Mike @ PolarUSA

Can the screen brightness be adjusted?

The sample unit I viewed was dim and difficult to see. The clerk could not advise on a method to adjust the setting. Thank you.
It's possible that the unit on display was low on battery, hence reason why it was dim. As for adjusting the display, one can change format with which it is displayed. For example one can have white numbers on a black background or black numbers on a white background. This can be set within the settings of the watch. To do so go to Settings - General Settings - Training View Color.

 Polar - FT7 Men's Heart Rate Monitor - Black/Silver

FT7 Men's Heart Rate Monitor

Does this require a chest strap?

Wanted to check if this requires a chest strap. or is it wrist based data transmission
The FT7 does require a chest strap for it to record heart rate. If you're looking for something without a strap, look towards the Polar A360. It has a full compliment of not only the heart rate features you would expect from Polar, but also 24/7 activity tracking - Mike @ Polar USA

FT4 or FT7??

I'm trying to decide between either the FT4 or FT7. What are the differences between the 2 models?
The biggest differences the FT7 has over the FT4 include the Energy Pointer feature (which graphically displays on the watch face whether or not the user is in their fat burning or fitness improvement zone), additional memory as well as download capability to our free web service at www.polarpersonaltrainer.com (via our Flowlink accessory) - Mike @ Polar USA

Bike Riding

Will this device measure the distance I ride, or will it count my pedal strokes while riding? If not, what Polar device will do so? Thanks
The A300 does not have a GPS function or cadence feature (to measure pedal turnover). If you're looking for a cycling specific computer, I would recommend our M450. Check out Polar.com for more information.- Mike @ Polar USA

Polar - H7 Bluetooth Smart Heart Rate Sensor - Black
Keep track of your progress during workouts with this Polar H7 heart rate sensor that features Bluetooth capability, so you can send readings to Bluetooth-compatible devices. The included chest strap adapts to your body shape for comfortable wearing.

Does this work with fitbit or jawbone or other brand activity trackers?

The H7 works with most of the products within Polar's product range. As for it working within the Fitbit or Jawbone product, we would recommend reaching out to them and confirming if there products have the ability to receive heart rate data from a 3rd party device. - Mike @ Polar USA
