If the power goes out will the phone still work?
Ginger - Yes, the VTech IS8151-4 has a Battery backup mode feature that allows your telephone system to function in the event of a power outage. The telephone system uses stored power from the handset’s battery to operate. During battery backup mode, the telephone base, answering system and all Bluetooth related features will be disabled. The operating time is subject to the battery level of the handset placed in the telephone base and the actual usage. For optimal performance, we recommend that you do not use the handset placed in the telephone base when this mode is on. Thank you! - VTech Support

I'm having trouble doing a 3 way call (Conference call). I make a call, hit flash/talk button and try to dial the 2nd number but it won't go thru. Does this phone have the capability of doing a conference (3-way) call?
Curious - We are sorry to hear that you are having an issue with the VTech CS5119-16. The unit is compatible with 3-way calling as long as you are subscribed to the service with your telephone service provider. If you are subscribed to the said service with your telephone company, a system reboot may resolve the issue. You can try rebooting your phone system by disconnecting the power from the telephone base then unplugging the battery on the cordless handset for a minute. Reconnect and test. How do I use the inner com with 2 Vtech CM18445 (2 main consoles)?
adlervillanueva - We apologize but you cannot use the Intercom feature on two CM18445. One main console cannot communicate with another main console on the same line. We recommend that you use one CM18445 and expand the system with either CM18245 (Cordless Deskset) or CM18045 (Cordless HS) in order to use the Intercom feature. I want to buy a Bluetooth (wireless) headset for this phone: Vetch Model: IS8151-4. Can you recommend a specific list of headsets (over-the-ear and in-the-ear)? I do not want to buy one that is not compatible. thx
DavidK236 - The VTech IS8151-5 is designed to work with most Bluetooth enabled headset. We do not have a list of Bluetooth enabled headsets with different wearing styles as it would depend on the BT headset you will purchase. However, we have a cordless headset IS6200 that is compatible with the IS8151-5. The VTech cordless headset is not Bluetooth enabled but it has the over-the-head and over-the-ear wearing styles.
