This VTech CM18445 corded phone is compatible with anywhere from 1 to 4 telephone lines and connects wirelessly with up to 10 handsets. The digital answering system records up to 180 minutes of messages, announcements and memos.
We have only two lines, is it possible to change the number of rings on line 1 before it rolls over to line 2? currently it will only ring twice before it rolls over to line 2. Thanks in advance for any help
Kyle - The rollover service is a service from you telephone provider and not a feature of the VTech CM18445. We recommend that you call your provider and ask how to make the necessary changes to the Rollover Service. Thank you! - VTech Support

What does the "Smart call backing consist of. First you say I can screen all calls. Then you say I can block 1000 numbers? How does the system screen calls
Mike - The smart call blocker feature allows you to set your welcome calls and screen unwelcome calls. The Smart call blocker allows calls from your welcome callers to get through, and it blocks/screens calls from your unwelcome callers. Welcome calls are those calls whose numbers are saved in your allow list, directory and star name list. Unwelcome calls are those numbers whose numbers are not stored in the above mentioned. You can set the unknown calls to allow, block, or screen these calls (caller needs to press # or say their name before the calls goes through), or forward these calls to the answering system. The smart call blocker requires Caller ID subscription from your telephone service provider. Can the ringer be turned off?
JAI - Yes, you can turn off the ringer volume of the VTech IS8151-4. Here's the procedure to turn off the ringer volume on the base and handsets.
On the telephone base:
Press VOLUME - on the telephone base to set the ringer volume of the telephone base while it is not in use. Press SET softkey to confirm and you will hear a confirmation tone.
On the cordless handsets:
1. Press MENU Softkey when the phone is not in use.
2. Press CID ▼ on the handset to scroll to Ringers, then press SELECT Softkey.
3. Press SELECT Softkey again to select Ringer volume.
4. Press CID ▼ on the handset to sample each volume level.
5. Press SET Softkey to save your preference. There is a confirmation tone and the screen returns to the previous menu.
