Hi Angie, we are sorry that you are having an issue on getting a dial tone for the VTech CM18445. Please make sure that you have the compatible telephone wall jack for the phone. The type of telephone jack can only be a single line jack or a dual line jack. If you have one jack with 3 lines coming out of it, you may check with your telephone provider to split the jack into two. One jack for lines 1 and 2 and a separate jack for line 3. You can use an RJ14 when connecting the first 2 lines to L1/L2 port and an RJ11 for L3 port at the telephone base.
