It really depends on what your definition of good quality sound is. A quality 2.1 home theater system will sound to the average listener in the described space, but if you really want the best listening experience I would consider getting a 5.1 home theater sound system. I hope this helps!

Without knowing exact model numbers it would be impossible to say which TV is better, and both Panasonic and Samsung make great TV’s. I would keep in mind that the aspect ratio for wide screen TV’s is 16:9 versus the traditional aspect ratio of 4:3. Since TV screens are measured diagonally a 32 inch wide screen TV will have a substantially shorter height than a 32 inch traditional tube TV.

If these two TV’s are LCD I would also look at the refresh rate (is it 60 Hz or 120 Hz), and go with the higher refresh rate of 120 Hz. I would also look at the contrast ratio, and go with the higher contrast ratio. I hope this helps!

You should have the TV looked at by an authorized service technician. If the TV is less than a year old the repair would most likely be covered by the manufacturer's warranty. If your receiver is iPod ready there should be a USB 2.0 port on it, and it should be as simple as plugging the same cord that connects your iPod to your computer into this USB port. If your receiver is not iPod ready you should still be able to play your music from your iPod on your home stereo system. You would need to first determine what type of auxiliary input your stereo uses (most are RCA inputs), and then purchase a cord that has a male 1/8 inch stereo jack on one side and the type of jack your auxiliary input takes on the other side. You then connect the 1/8 inch stereo jack side of the cord to your headphones output on your iPod, and the other side of your cord to your auxiliary input on your receiver. Then set your receiver to auxiliary, and press play on your iPod.
