Flip/Kodak Zi6 - next step up?

I have been looking at the Flips and the Kodak Zi6 - they are in my price range. However all the reviews talk about their lack of stablizers. Is there a camera just above their price range with a good stabilizer and with their video quality?
If you want to stick with a camcorder that uses flash memory to record you videos to you could look at the Panasonic model SDR-S7K. This camcorder has electronic image stabilization, a 10X optical zoom, and is on sale right now for $199.99 from $299.99. If you want to look at this camcorder you could look here: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....

There are actually a number of camcorders that are priced around the same price as these two camcorders, but have image stabilization as an added feature. If you want to look at an example that records to MiniDV you could look here: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage..., and if you want to see an example of a camcorder that records to DVD you could look here: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.... I hope this helps!

Is there a gps I can use for my car and my boat?

I am interested in a portable gps that I can use in my car and on my boat. Something simple I don't need to find fish just where I am.
You could look at the Lowrance XOG Crossover portable GPS unit which can be used off-road, on-foot, automobile and marine use. If you want to see this GPS system you could look here: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.... I hope this helps!

What is refreshed?

I think that you mean refurbished.
You are correct that the iPhones listed for sale in our stores on BestBuy.com that say in parentheses (refreshed) are refurbished iPhones.

Can you buy an iPhone while being under a Tmobile contract and switch the sim card from your Tmobile phone to the iPhone?

No this wouldn't work. At this time you have to have an iPhone contract with AT&T wireless to get the iPhone to work.

I have a Canon DC20A that I just had to replace the battery on and now the DVD will not record. Did something happen when the battery went out?

The camera would not work and seemed like the battery was dead. The battery would not take a charge, so we tested battery and was told to get a new one. Now we can take pictures but no movies. When we try to take movies, it gives an error message. We have tried new disks too. Did the battery short out something - can it be fixed without alot of cost? We have had this camera less than 3 years - 1st battery replacement. Thanks
The first thing I would do is make sure you purchased the correct replacement batter, and for this camcorder you should have purchased the battery pack model BP-208. It is unlikely that the new battery pack caused a short that damaged the camera, and if you did get the right battery pack and the problem persists I would have the camcorder looked at by an authorized service technician. You could also try giving the manufacturer the error code and they might be able to troubleshoot the issue for you.

To have it looked at you could call the manufacturer, or you could bring the camcorder to a Best Buy® store and the Geek Squad® should be able to send it out to get serviced. I hope this helps!

what camara is best for motion pictures

Most point and shoot cameras do an adequate job of capturing video footage, but if you really want good quality video I would suggest getting a digital camcorder.

If you want a digital camera that takes high quality still images, and high quality video you could look at the Nikon D90, or the Canon EOS 5D Mark II DSLR cameras. If you want to see the Nikon D90 you could look here: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage..., and if you want to see the Canon EOS 5D Mark II you could look here: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.... I hope this helps!

the best camera for photos shop

i need very good camera for my photos shop an i need to know all characters about this cam and its pieces .. like memory card ... lenses... zoom... quality
The best digital camera that Best Buy® sells is the Canon EOS-1Ds Mark III DSLR, and it accepts CompactFlash, SD, and SDHC memory cards. Over the years Canon has manufacturered hundereds of very high quality lenses that would work perfectly on this camera, but without knowing your specific needs it would be impossible to suggest one. If you want to see this camera you could look here: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....

Another camera that has gotten great review lately is the Canon EOS 5D Mark II, and it accepts CompactFlash memory cards. A feature this camera has that the other two cameras listed don't is the ability to record High Definition video. If you want to take a look at this camera you could look here: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....

Lastly I would suggest looking at the Nikon D700, which also accepts CompactFlash memory cards. You can see the D700 here: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....

These cameras are three of the best cameras currently being made, and you can't really go wrong with any one of them. I would suggest going to a Best Buy® store and trying them out! I hope this helps!

can i buy these cables?

: USB connection cable
: and an AV cable
If you are talking about the cables that came with the camera you would need to get the model numbers of the cables from the manufacturer, and then you could most likely purchase them here: http://bestbuy.partsearch.com/. I hope this helps!

repair

who repairs them
If you are still within your manufacturer's warranty period you could contact the manufacturer, and they should either have you ship the camera into one of their repair centers or they might have a list of authorized service centers in your area. If you purchased the camera from Best Buy® you could also bring it to a Geek Squad® precinct in a Best Buy® store and they should be able to send it out for service! Keep in mind that the manufacturer's warranty would only cover defects in the camera, and would not cover damage to the camera.

If you purchased an extended service plan from Best Buy®, such as the Geek Squad Black Tie Protection plan or a Performance Service Plan with Accidental Damage from Handling, damage to the camera should be covered. If you did purchase and extended service plan you should bring the camera to your local Best Buy® store. I hope this helps!

Olympus FE-370 video vs. other brands?

Hello, I am shopping for a new digital camera. I would like:
- Capability to capture pictures and video with sound (preferably unlimited in duration up to memory card size)
- Preferably something compact and pocket-sized
- re-chargeable battery
- Within $120-$180 price range

I was considering the Olympus FE-370 but read a review on here that it only allows 10 second videos?

I was considering the Canon Powershot 10.0 but it is slightly out of my price range. How does it compare to the Olympus (memory size, video, etc?)
Most point and shoot cameras limit the size of each video they record to a designated amount of storage space, but usually this is a fairly large amount of storage. The Canon Powershot SD790 IS (which is currently on sale for $179.99) allows each standard video to be up to 4 GB's of data, which in most cases would be equal to or larger than the memory card being used. I you want to take a look at the Canon SD 790 IS you could look here: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....

There are actually many cameras that should work for your needs, but keep in mind that digital cameras aren't designed to produce high quality video. If you need high quality video footage I would suggest getting a separate camcorder that is designed for capturing video. I hope this helps!
