Almost all new TV’s are in the 16:9 wide screen dimensions, and since TV screens are measured diagonally a TV with a 16:9 screen ratio that is 34 inches wide will not be nearly 31 inches high. Most 32 inch widescreen TV’s are between 31 and 34 inches wide, and between 22 and 24 inches high with their stand. Most laptops are set to reduce the screen brightness when they are using battery power to conserve on energy usage, and if your screen is only dark when it is running on battery power you could try changing this setting. To change the screen brightness while running on battery power press the fn key and the f8 key to increase brightness, and press the fn key and the f7 key to decrease brightness.
