Thanks for the question. The RSG307AABP is designed to produce approximately 4.6 pounds of ice per day under ideal conditions, which is only slightly less than the 4.9 pound storage capacity of the ice bucket. Production may vary depending on freezer compartment temperature, room temperature, number of door openings and other factors. If one is making less than this, here are some tips to help maximize the production:
- The recommended temperatures for the refrigerator and freezer compartments are 38°F and -4°F, respectively. If the freezer temperature is set higher than this, it could effect ice production. If the refrigerator is too cold, the water lines could freeze.
- The icemaker will not produce ice if it detects a full bin, so make sure there is nothing pressing against the feeler arm above the ice bucket.
- Try pressing the Test button on the side of the icemaker to reset it.
- A clogged or partially clogged filter can slow water flow and affect ice production. After replacing the filter, be sure to dispense up to 6 gallons of water to bleed air from the lines.
- In order for the ice maker to operate properly, water pressure of 20~125 psi is required. Under normal conditions, a 6 oz glass can be filled in about 10 seconds. If the Refrigerator is installed in an area with low water pressure (below 20psi), it may be possible to install a booster pump to compensate for the low pressure.
- The Power Freeze feature can help increase ice production by running the compressor for an extended period of time.
In addition to the above tips, it's worth noting that Samsung is committed to producing high quality products and providing excellent customer service, as evidenced by the Overall Customer Satisfaction Awards for Refrigerators received from JD Powers & Associates for 7 of the past 8 years. If an issue arises that cannot be resolved with basic troubleshooting, the product warranty is in place to help ensure your satisfaction.
I hope this information helps to alleviate your concern.
