Can i connect my 10 yr old direct tv system without different cables

I just need to buy a new tv. I can't afford to upgade to HD so I wanted to know if this will work

Due to the nature of the cross compatible connectors (HDMI, Composite(RCA yellow/red/white), Component(red/green/blue)), you will be more than able to connect any device that offers the aforementioned connections to the Samsung TVs, regardless of manufacturer. Unfortunately, since I do not know all of the connections offered by all of the different devices on the market, you will have to refer to your devices’ manual to find out which connection is best to use with this Samsung TV. There are no special converters required. Aforementioned Cables will be required for normal operation.

For your reference, the UN32EH4003 offers the following connections:
HDMI: 2
Component: 1
Composite (AV): 1
USB 2.0: 1
RF In: 1

Can I hook up a external Hard Drive (Windows/Apple) that contains media files (Mp3, Mpeg, Avi, Bmp, Jpg, Wmv ...) and play it in Chrome Book ????

As a matter of fact, the Chromebook should be able to access media saved on an external HDD.

I have read several "post" on different sites that state this model has componet jacks and some say no

The UN32EH4003 will offer a combination Composite/Component input, which will allow you to connect both Component and RCA cables directly into the TV.

what wifi keyboard is best to use for a samsung un46es7500 smart tv

From the available information, although the EH5300 will offer compatibility with a traditional standard USB keyboard and mouse, it will not offer support for wireless peripherals.

However, the ES7500 will indeed be compatible with both USB and Bluetooth wireless Keyboards and mice. I would recommend using the Samsung Wireless Keyboard/Mouse option called the VG-KBD1500, with the ES7500.

How do I make wifi work on this?

I just bought this, but I'm starting to get worried. As I look through the specifications it says that this blu ray player is not wifi ready. It says that it is smart capable, and because of this, I thought it would come ready to stream movies right out of the box. Do I need a wireless adapter to make it work? Does the adapter have to be made by Samsung?

The BD-E5300 can be used with a wired connection only.

You may want to see if your retailer might work with you to get a product that fits your needs better. If you just purchased it, you may be able to return it and get something that makes you happy.

Is there a close caption on mute option?

Looking to have the capability to have close captioning when the sound is muted. I cannot tell whether this is an option based on the limited owenr's manual.

In order to access Captioning, you will want to head into the TV's menu, then into the setup or system sub-menu to access the CC options or to just activate it, press the CC button on the remote control. However, CC is only available via the coax cable since the CC signal has to be sent by your service provider. The CC information cannot be sent via HDMI or other secondary connections from 3rd party devices. That said, most service provider set top boxes and DVD/BD players will handle CC on board, which will then be displayed on the TV as part of the video signal. If your TV is displaying captions, but the caption system is turned off at the TV, then most likely the captions are coming from the 3rd party device that is connected to the TV. Captions are subject to your service provider’s availability. Additionally, the CC option cannot be set to come on automatically when MUTE is activated.

The UN32EH4003 will indeed come with the ConnectShare Movie feature, which allows the TV to play movie, mp3 and jpeg files from a flash drive.
