Hello- Sennheiser does not manufacture any headphones in the USA, only wireless microphones. All Sennheiser headphones are designed in Germany. The following models are made entirely in Germany: HD 800. The following models are made in Ireland: HD 650, HD 600, HD 25. The rest are assembled in China with components from Europe.

The HD 201 has excellent bass with emphasis on neutrality and natural feel with detail. If you want a more natural sound, the HD 201 is a great choice. Its bass response is indeed powerful but not overwhelming. If you are looking for a very bassy headphone, the HD 202 is more suited for you.
