HDMI ports not working

I have had this TV for almost a year, and it has been great. I have used HDMI port 1 to connect my HD cable box, HDMI port #2 for my PS3, and have not touched ports 3 and 4. I recently got an Apple TV that I tried to hook up to the TV, but when I hook up it to either of the open ports the TV says no signal and I get a blue screen. Currently I have to unplug the PS3 to use the Apple TV. Does anyone else have this issue or know how to fix it?
If you haven't already, try connecting a different HDMI device to HDMI3 and 4 to verify if the ports are working. If they are not, try power-cycling your TV by turning it off and unplugging it for an hour, then try connecting the devices again. If the ports still appear non-functional, your TV may require repairs. In-home service can be obtained by calling our Product Support team at 800-305-2204.

Blue square issues

I also keep getting a blue square in the upper right hand corner of my screen showing th einput and the resolution. I have talked to other people that own Dynex TV's and they don't have this issue. Do I have a defective TV? I also didn't get a remore control manual with my new TV.
Thanks
You may download a copy of the User Manual (which includes instructions for using the remote control) at http://www.dynexproducts.com/produc.... The on screen input message may be occurring due to a remote control conflict. Try disabling other remotes you are using (remove the batteries) to see if the problem persists. You may also reset any remote control by removing the batteries, pressing all of its buttons, and installing fresh batteries. I hope this helps.

Can I connect my PC to the TV so I can get streaming netflix movies?

I do not want to pay Xbox360 fee along with netflix and sometimes I want to watch a movie on the large screen not the lap top. Is there any way to do this? We have home wireless in place.
You may connect your PC to your TV by VGA or HDMI, depending on your computer's available connection types. You can find full details and instructions in the User Manual, downloadable at http://www.dynexproducts.com/produc....

Why is the picture washed out in red when playing DVDs?

When viewing DVDs via a component connection the picture is completely covered with a red tint.
The most likely reason for this issue is that your DVD player is improperly connected. Verify that your cables are connected correctly and fully seated.

Where to buy a replacement stand?

I purchased the dynex 55" lcd tv as an open box item, it did not come with a tv stand. i would prefer not to wall mount it, but cannot find anywhere to buy a stand. Is there a site anywhere that sells it?
You may purchase a stand assembly for this model TV (DX-55L150A11) at http://www.partstore.com/Part/Best+.... If you have a different model, you may search for your model number for a listing of available parts. I hope this helps.

TV/DVD Combos
TV/DVD Combos

No picture on Dynex 22" TV/DVD combo--11months old.

Try this: power-cycle your TV by turning it off and unplugging it for at least an hour. This should serve to reset the TV. If the problem persists, your TV/DVD combo will likely require repairs. Service can be obtained by carrying the unit in to the place of purchase. Remember to bring along your original receipt for validation of the one-year warranty.

Using as a computer monitor

I got this tv to use as a computer monitor. When I plugged it in (via HDMI) to my video card, and set the tv to the 1920x1080 resolution, it doesn't display properly. I need to select a resolution of 10204x768 in order to make everything fit on screen. I don't want to sacrifice picture quality to make everything work, but I can not get it to display in full 1080p. Any suggestions?

Also, side question. I accidentally set it to retail mode instead of home mode when I was setting the tv up. Is there a way to change this?
Since the desktop displays on your TV, the computer's video card settings are at fault. Have you updated your video card firmware? After doing so, you should be able to adjust the desktop settings to suit your needs. To restore your TV to factory defaults, enter the on screen Menu, select Settings, then Reset to Default. Remember, all of your custom settings will be lost so any calibration setting should be written down beforehand. Afterward, you should be able to set up your TV as if for the first time and select Home Mode. I hope this helps.

Direct TV remote will adjust volume, but not turn TV on and off. 55" model

I've gone through the remotes automatic programming routine. The remote operates the volume controls, but won't turn TV on and off!! (using "off" or "power") "TV input" also operates that particular TV function.
Just no on and off......
For your DirecTV remote, try using codes 10171, 11204, 11326, 11517, 11564, 11641, 11963, 12002. Unfortunately, if you have found a code that controls any of the functions of your TV, there isn't generally another code that will do more. Not every third-party remote is compatible, so you may wish to consider a higher-end universal remote control or contacting DirecTV for additional assistance in programming the remote.

How can i change my Dynex Tv's Quality from 480 to (at least) 720?

its a DX-37L150A11 its a few months old and i want to know if i can change it any higher than that since its a 1080p TV.
Your TV will display the signal it receives, so you may need to change the output settings of your connected devices. For example, a DVD is encoded at 480i. If you use an upconverting DVD player, you can set the output setting to 1080p so that your TV receives and displays the best possible signal. All of your connected devices should have similar settings you can customize. I hope this helps.
