How do I connect a DVD player?

The manual I have (and the one online) only gives instructions for connecting a VCR. Is this the same as with a DVD player? Is the AV cable the one with the red white and yellow connections?

I have my TV and SAT box connected with a component cable as the Dynex TV I have does not have a yellow connection. Assuming the AV cable is the red white and yellow one do I disconnect the component cable and then connect using the AV cable to connect the DVD player> This means I would be putting the yellow connection into the green slot in back of the TV as per instructions in the manual, is this correct? Thank you
Connecting your DVD player by composite cable will follow the same procedure as connecting a VCR. Using the port grouping on the TV labeled "COMPONENT/AV IN," the red and white connectors should be connected to the ports labeled "L" and "R" and the yellow connector should be connected to the port labeled "Y/VIDEO."

Cant get xbox headset hooked up with HDMI cable.

I got my HDMI cable hooked up to my xbox and tv, but i cannot get my Turtle Beach headset hooked up correctly along with it. I do not know how to fix it and I have tried many times.
If the TV is functioning properly in all modes (e.g., gaming, cable/satellite viewing, DVD/Blu-ray, etc.), I recommend contacting Turtle Beach for assistance with troubleshooting their product.

hooking up to PC how do you get sound

How does a PC send sound to the TV
Most likely you'll need to run a 3.5 mm audio cable from your computer to the TV for sound.

Why does my HDMI input say "no support"?

This set up worked fine for thirty days and then one day, stopped working. Everything works with the AV jacks but no HDMI ports work. Could the HDMI cable gone bad? It is new with the TV and total set-up is 40 days old.
You don't state what device is connected by HDMI. First, ensure that your HDMI cable is firmly seated in both devices. If you still get the no signal message, try replacing the cable. If you've connected a computer, ensure that the video output is set to a resolution compatible with the TV. If no device works in any HDMI port, please call our Product Support team to arrange for service. Contact information is available via http://www.dynexproducts.com/contac....

Best Picture settings

Hi I have an Dynex 55in TV, and it's a pretty good picture, but I want to have the best picture that the TV can offer. What are the best settings for this TV? Ex: Contrast, Sharpness, Brightness, Color, tint, etc, etc, and advance options also. I want the best picture for this tv I have Cable.
Since "best" settings are dependent on environment and personal taste as much as signal source, one person's optimal settings may not be optimal for you or your home. You may wish to consider a calibration service to get the most out of your TV. You can find more information on TV calibration services at GeekSquad.com.

use dynex DX24E150A11 Tv as monitor for dell diminsion 3000 computer?

What do I need to do to use this tv as a monitor for my computer. When I hooked it up all I got was "no signal" I set the tv for VGA input. I did not see any "tv" input option.
You may need to adjust your computer video card output settings to a compatible resolution. Try starting with 800x600 or 1366x768 at 60hz. Once your desktop is displayed on the TV, you may proceed to adjust the settings to your preferences.

Can't get a picture on my TV

I have hooked up the new TV to my Motorola Receiver the same way I had my old TV plugged in and now I have Dark, Poor Pircture with good sound. When the wizard asks for channel scan, I highlight cable/satalite box and it says 'choose proper channel' and forces me to choose 'Cable' before it will scan. Also the colour coded cable doesnt match up either (red, yellow, white). Are these really necessary. Help??????????
It sounds like you're connecting your composite receiver into component connection ports. This TV does not have a composite (i.e., red-yellow-white) connection, only component. In order to connect your receiver, you will need a composite to component converter.

Initial setup wizard

During initial setup the wrong item was selected. Cable instead of satelite. How can I get back to initial setup. In MENU now there is only antenna or cable. No satelite ....How can I get to select the right one
In the on screen menu, select Setup, then Reset Default. Once this is done, turn your TV off and power-cycle it by unplugging it for several minutes. When you turn on the TV, you will go through the Setup Wizard and may select Cable/Satellite Box when prompted.

help

when I hook up a component using the AV in1 or AV in2 (and select the corresponding input) all I get is NO Signal on the screen. Is there something else I need to do. I can hook up this same componenet to another TV and it works fine. I just purchased this floor model tv and I did not get an ownerrs manual, so your help would be appreciated
You didn't mention what type of component, so this answer is very generic: you may need to adjust the video output settings in the component you are connecting to a resolution that is compatible with the TV. To download a copy of your TV owner's manual, go to http://www.dynexproducts.com/produc....
