What is the maximum Wi-fi range?

You don't have to go into detail.

Your Blu-ray player should connect to your home network as long as it is in range of your router's signal. I recommend reviewing your router's documentation for more information on signal range.

Try this: power-cycle your TV by turning it off and unplugging it for at least one hour. This will serve to reset your TV hardware. Also, ensure that your TV speakers are not set to mute via the on screen Menu. If the problem persists, it's likely that your TV will require repairs. External speakers

How do I hook up a sound bar? What type do I buy? ie. I was told I need a soundbar wifh an HDMI port but I use my HDMI on the TV for my PVR and the HDM2 for my Blue Ray.

This TV does not feature an audio output, so the only way to connect external audio would be via HDMI. You may wish to invest in an AV receiver; you connect may then connect your HDMI devices as well as speakers or a soundbar to the receiver and the receiver to the TV. I've included one option as an example. I hope this helps.

will the remote control the volume on my Insignia TV?

The remote control included with this Blu-ray player is not universal, but you may be able to use CEC (Consumer Electronics Control) to control your Insignia TV and Blu-ray player from a single remote if connected by HDMI cable.
