start dvd player with remote

I purchased "open box" item so no owners manual. How do I download.
Also what button on the remote do I press to start DVD player?

Car Audio Installation

Do you guys fix diagnose/fix audio amplifiers?

I bought an Insignia 1000 Watt amplifier for my car. Until a few weeks ago, it was powering my 15" Pioneer Premiere Subwoofer. It worked fine for a year or two but a few weeks ago, while I let my car idle while I was in the bank, the green LED signaling that the device is working changed the red "protect" light. By the time I came back out, it had stopped working and nothing I've tried has been able to fix it and I can't diagnose what the problem is. I double and triple checked all the exterior plugs and connections, wires, etc. and I got nothing.

Your local Geek Squad should be able to assist you with diagnostics and repairs. I'd recommend contacting them at your local Best Buy or stopping in to discuss options.

Reset button

Does anyone know if the Insignia TV's have *reset button* I've lost power to mine ;(

Insignia TVs do not have a reset button, but power-cycling your TV by turning it off and unplugging it for at least one hour will serve the same purpose. If the problem persists afterward, your TV may require repairs. If your TV is 37" or less, you may obtain service by carrying your TV in to the place of purchase along with your original receipt for warranty validation. If your TV is larger than 37", please call our Product Support team at 877-467-4289 for assistance in scheduling a technician to visit your home.

aspect ratio ?

Hi.Could you tell me if the Insignia 42'' class 1080p/120 hz/lcd hdtv comes in the 4:3 ratio or just the 16:9 ?I know that sounds like a dumb ? but this is going to be my first hdtv.And i don't know if i like the tv where their is the black space on top and the bottom of the tv.If you have hdtv is this what you have to have?Seems like a waste of the tv size not being used.Thank you.

Your 16:9 TV will display widescreen programming (which may sometimes have black bars across the top and bottom depending on the aspect ratio of the source material) or 4:3 (black bars on the sides). For best results, you may wish to set the signal output on your connected video sources (e.g., cable/satellite box, DVD/Blu-ray player) to "widescreen" or "16:9 pillarbox." Also, if you wish the programming you're viewing to fill the entire screen, you may use the ZOOM button on the remote control to select the viewing option that suits you best. I hope this helps.

Is there a reset button on an Insignia, tv/dvd NS_LDVD26Q-10A ??

I have no power to my set. Have changed batteries in remote, removed and cleaned power cord, changed power strip, (which was still working) Any ideas??

It sounds like your TV/DVD combo will require repairs. Service can be obtained by carrying the unit in to the place of purchase along with your original receipt for validation of the two-year warranty.

This TV does not feature a composite audio out. If your stereo system only features this type of connection, you will need a composite-to-component or composite-to-HDMI converter.

The product features states that this allows connected video games. I don't see any input connectors. Does it have any? Specifically RCA input jacks?

You may connect a composite/RCA audio/video device using a composite to mini-AV cable.
