I easily mounted a 39-inch TV and, later, a 55-inch with this Rocketfish. Instructions are clear, and the package includes mounting screws in all sizes. So I had the right size for each TV without a trip to the hardware store. It was a bit of challenge fitting screws under the tilt adjustment knob, where they needed to be for the 55-incher. Luckily, the M8 by 21mm screws that Samsung requires were just short enough to work. The rails that let me slide the TV left and right meant I could center it perfectly over a cabinet. Other features I especially like include the tilt function that compensates for bright morning sun. I would buy this mount again.

I would recommend this to a friend!

Our household is well pleased with our new Samsung TU8000. Spending a little extra for series 8 features including the voice-activated One Remote and Bluetooth was worth it. We are able to adjust the picture and sound exactly as we like it. Setup with on-screen instructions was easy, even for our mature Baby Boomer brains. The remote is intuitive enough to guide us through its functions, although we still have use other remotes to set up cable recordings and control volume on external speakers. We don't use the Smart Things app for iPhones because our phones already control the TV as much as we need. We also were put off by the pay subscription for anything but basic features. We now have access to more entertainment than we will ever watch. Altogether, we're happy.

I would recommend this to a friend!

Does this TV automatically select the strongest wi-fi signal (2.4gHz or 5gHz)? As I understand things, my wi-fi-router and extender operate simultaneously with both, and 5gHz is best for streaming video, etc.

When you connect the sound with Bluetooth ie AirPods, can others in the room still hear the sound or is it an all Bluetooth or all audio? I have a hearing problem but my spouse does not.

I have an earlier model of this TV, and I can set it up for TV speakers and earbuds at the same time. Here are instructions I found:
How can I use Bluetooth headphones and TV speakers simultaneously on Samsung Smart TV?
Set up Multi-output Audio
1 Press the Home button on your remote control to bring up the Smart Hub and then select Settings.
2 Select General then Accessibility.
3 Choose Multi-output Audio.
4 Your TV will search for nearby Bluetooth devices. ...
5 Select your Bluetooth device from the list and choose Pair and Connect.

When searching for info on the VESA mounting bracket sizes supported, 2 answers mention 200x200mm and one mentions 400x300mm. Which is correct?

Can I set a video file saved on a USB thumb drive to loop repeatedly on this particular Samsung TV? If yes, how do I enable this function?

The Smart Remote doesn't have all the dedicated buttons for devices and functions like earlier remotes did. So you might have to go to the Home Screen menu and search for USB setup. The voice-activated function (Alexa, Google Assistant, or Bixby) might also take you there. I haven't tried USBs on my TV yet, but I would think it could do whatever you want. You might want to try Samsung customer support to make sure, before you buy.

What is the best way to hook up Samsung Harmon Kardon soundbar to the tv?

The TV has an eArc HDMI output, which from what I understand is the best way to connect to a soundbar. I've read that it gives you better sound quality and lets you control the soundbar from the TV. There also is an optical sound output. I use that for my external speakers because they don't have HDMI inputs. And there's Bluetooth, if your soundbar has Bluetooth capability.

does tv have built-in web browser to surf the internet same as computer?

Yes, it does have a browser, which connects by wifi. I had to buy a wifi extender so my router's signal could reach the TV. You also might want to connect a keyboard to the TV, so you don't have to click on the screen to enter one character at a time.

There's a Netflix button on the remote, and an Apps icon on the toolbar at the bottom of the home screen. When you click on it, several apps are listed, and there's also a search function. Or can you use the voice function on the remote and say "find XXX app." It has a choice of Alexa, Google Assistant and Bixby, which is Samsung's version.
