Great machine, highly recommended

I've had a few different Shark products and overall they do not disappoint on the specialized equipment. If you have hard floors and dread mopping of any form, this is the product for you.
Setup: Easy and takes little time to get the basics down.
Cleanup: I had guests over and a puppy through my house, so I was able to really test this unit out. The only pre-cleaning was my robotic vacuum doing its usual business but otherwise the floor needed a good mopping. The self-cleaning system seems to work quite well, keeping the roller from carry dirt throughout the house, which anyone mop/steam cleaner will do. I used the included cleaner for the first time and then repeated with a diluted vinegar solution. I'd say there cleaner is better overall but the vinegar method works well overall, especially if using frequently. My floors were shiny clean with no residue.
Power: Didn't have much issue with an approximate 800 sq ft. cleaning area. There's no actual rating on the battery life so I can't compare it to their specs.
Other: I didn't use it on a spill so that's the main limitation to this review. The clean/dirty tank separation is also very nice.
All in all, great vacuum and I would recommend it.

Overall great wireless but lacks luxurious feel
on October 6, 2022
Posted by: TrueReviews20
I've long been a fan of Turtle Beach for my console gaming headsets. This set does not disappoint and delivers accurate sound with good battery life. Wireless is a nice feature and I haven't notice a big difference between my wired set in terms of lag or accuracy. My biggest issue is the continued lack of quality materials used by Turtle Beach. Logitech tends to be a notch better but sometimes the easiest solution seems to be a really good music headphone set used for gaming as well.
Setup: Seamless on my PS4. Take about ten minutes. Controls are easy to access and fairly intuitive. The mic flips up into the headset for easier storage which is a nice feature.
Battery life: I don't often play more than 2 hours straight, but I was able to make is easily last 20+ hours of game time.
Sound: Accurate and responsive. I don't notice a significant delay on the wireless set up. The surround on COD, GTA, Need for Speed, etc was immersive and did bring me in to the game. There were only a few rare times there was some a moment of signal loss but nothing major.
Comfort: Super comfortable at two hours and didn't feel too sweaty or warm which I've dealt with before. They are light enough.
Overall I would recommend this set but I have to knock them down a start for the quality.

Good choice for high-end, but over-priced
on May 19, 2022
Posted by: TrueReviews20
Overall I would recommend this set if you are looking for a luxurious design with good features and quality sound, at a high price. Having exposure to turntables for decades now, this is a solid modern player but it comes at a probably unnecessary cost. When comparing against other well known brands in the turntable industry, Victrola is more of a niche brand. Sound reproduction is not audiophile level, but depending on your vinyl collection, it may not and really should not matter. If you are looking to get a great looking set up with matching speakers, no fuss, and don't care about cost, look no further.
Speakers: I'll start here since this is the easy part. The speakers are good, they will reproduce the sounds of a brand new record with clarity and enjoyable sound. Aside from that, I have an audiophile set up with a developing ear for the subtleties of music. Simply put, if you're going to listen loud or less well taken care of records, these speakers aren't going to support that. If you're just looking for some easy listening in a moderately sized room, these are wonderful. They are compact, look nice, and will reproduce enough of the valuable frequencies.
Turntable: Simple to use, looks great. Uses a magnetic cartridge which is likely only best replaced by their own OEM cartridge after long use. I honestly don't have much negative to say about the turntable itself. They should have included an automatic arm with a repeat option.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good vacuum overall but expensive for feature list
on December 13, 2021
Posted by: TrueReviews20
I own multiple robot vacuums from multiple brands. Roomba definitely has the most consistent reliability and refinement.
This robot fortunately comes with smart mapping, unlike some lower end and lower priced vacuums out on the market. Unfortunately for Roomba, newer companies with the newest models have come out with great mapping ability.
Setup is a breeze and within an hour you can have this Roomba set up thoroughly and working with Alexa / Google.
After some fine tuning, I was able to create a refined map and I really enjoy the ability to command the vacuum through Alexa to clean specific areas.
After allowing for a heavier clean the first time, the built in dust bin only needs about a once per week emptying. When I have pets over it can do two heavy cleans before needing emptying. The nice thing is you can combine it with the mopping robot for tandem cleans.
One of my pet peeves with these robots is harshness on surfaces. This robot does well but I have seen better. It will bump furniture and walls a little too hard every once in a while.
Its edge cleaning is about 7/10 but the quality of coverage is a little better at 8/10. The battery easily lasts an entire 750 sq ft heavy clean on one full charge.
Overall, this is a good robot vacuum with the necessary smart features. It allows for expansion with the auto empty bin and paired mopping robot. My only issue is the price is still too steep for what I would consider a low-middle range robot vacuum without an auto empty bin or other features.

Good for urban/suburban/semi-rural
on October 30, 2021
Posted by: TrueReviews20
This antenna is good for those living in urban and suburban areas without a doubt. Most semi-rural areas without significant obstruction (my testing environment) should be no issue at 50-70 miles without much disturbance but bad weather will likely struggle at times. Biggest downside would be the quality of the material and as others have mentioned.
Design: Good size and looks sleek. Doesn't stand out as much as other powered/outdoor mounted antennas do.
Setup: Very simple and straightforward setup. I appreciate the included mounting options. I will be interested to see how it stands up through the seasons, especially with rusting. I would have like to have seen 50-100 cable clips with nails included to secure the coaxial cord outside until it enters the home. The box set up is simple. The remote to control the motor can be a little glitchy at times but overall it's good. It should have been RF in order to make it easier to see where the antenna is pointing without the box in line of site. It is a huge benefit that the antenna is powered over coax.
TV: Overall I am very happy. I was picking up 50-70 mile antennas at full HD with 80s-90+ signal in good and stormy weather. I was using a leaf antenna and bunny ears (only for comparison) and obviously the signal and channel capture was much more. I compared this to local cable listings and I was able to capture every station.
Overall: If you're in the semi-rural category where your repeaters are 50-70 miles out, but you don't have a ton of mountains and large hills blocking your lines of sight, you shouldn't have much issue. Anything more urban than that will do great. I do believe this is overall overpriced and should be more $50-70.

Powerful laptop rivaling most desktop gaming PCs
on July 28, 2021
Posted by: TrueReviews20
After having owned multiple XPS/Alienware devices, I was excited to get my hands on my first and the newest XPS laptop. The Dell XPS lines are tried and true. They are easily the best laptops on the market in the Windows OS.
I went with arctic white, which is not my first choice and I probably would not recommended for gamers. The white keyboard for gamers. The white keyboard with white back lighting with makes it difficult to see the keyboard is broad daylight. No issue at night. When it comes to unboxing and set up there's nothing difficult or special. Standard Windows set up.
The first thing you'll notice is the screen. The OLED shines in every way. There is little to no motion blur and games/movies/documents all look perfect and crisp. The brightness is nearly blinding at the highest levels, which can be quite rare for laptops. It comes with an adapter for HDMI, otherwise it's all USB-C. My biggest complaint is the weight, it's on the heavy side but for a quality laptop with serious hardware, there's no getting away from a little extra weight.
The battery life is adequate but when you're gaming hardcore you need you cord nearby or plugged in. COD and flight simulator burned through my battery.
In terms of gaming, I am very pleased. The computer will get hot and loud with the high end graphics on the new flight simulator and on my Rift. It takes longer depending on the demand and graphics (obviously) but overall no complaints. The motion blur is rarely noticeable and a huge leap from standard LED/LCD based panels. Red Dead Redemption loaded faster than my console and very new desktop. I believe the 4K 30FPS is possible but you're really stretching it on this card.
Everything else performs very well, the basic usage will be no issue whatsoever on this laptop.
Most importantly, 4K movies/videos on this screen are remarkable. The depths of blacks/greys are unmatched and the brightness brings out colors.
I don't have much negative to say about this one. If you're looking for a reliable laptop with a little extra power, there's no looking beyond this one.

Great dual function robot, still working out kinks
on April 18, 2021
Posted by: TrueReviews20
Having been an owner of two other robot vacuums, I was excited to get a multifunction vacuum/mop style vacuum. I have heard great things about Ecovacs prior to owning this model and I have been satisfied since day one with this new release. My major ding by one star was due to some inconsistencies with the mop feature and it overall being a disappointing feature. In addition, I didn't find this vacuum feature as powerful as some older competitor robots when it came to really dirty areas.
Setup: It takes about 20-30 minutes to get everything up and running so you can start fiddling with the app and settings. It comes in a large box and you will need to charge it fully before using it, which is expected. It's very easy to get the app set up and I really appreciate this since more basic tech users will be able to get it going with little difficulty. The auto empty station is a huge plus, looks nice, and isn't too bulky. You just have to go through a few clicks on the app to get the robot in action.
Floor mapping: I think this is a huge benefit of this robot. You can get really specific with where you want it to go. This also helps it learn faster and avoid hitting objects.
Vacuum: Overall it's very good. It's much quieter than my older Samsung and about on par with Roomba. I would say the vacuum power is weaker than I'd like in dirtier areas (I've seen little bits left behind are the doorways, kitchen) but it does a good job. At this price point it should probably be better but I think time will probably make it better. I really like how it avoids obstacles and doesn't slam in to my furniture like my Samsung. It very rarely, if ever gets stuck. It did very well it long dog hair.
Mopping: This was very hit or miss. It's clear to me this is not going to replace a regular manual mopping job. I understand this is a little robot but I was overall disappointed in the ability for it to mop dirtier areas. This is also at a time where less dirt has been tracked into the house. It does leave a pretty good wet trail behind it and doesn't really get slightly more stuck on dirt off. Again, you have to realize limitations of these devices but I do think there is room for improvement. I'm not counting it out just yet but I'm skeptical.
Coverage per charge: This has been variable but I'd say it gets most of 600 sq ft in one run.
Overall, as time goes on these robots only get better and keep the home clean. I think it's a solid 4 stars but the fifth would mean an impressive mop experience which was not the case. I would recommend it, but with some reservations. It's also my first robot with a mop feature so I may need to adjust my expectations.

Best doorbell camera on the market
on January 28, 2021
Posted by: TrueReviews20
Having owned multiple Lorex security camera systems, I was excited to get this new doorbell camera. They continuously update their applications and firmware and I have not experienced and hardware issues. The first Lorex camera system I installed has been working for over 3 years without any issues whatsoever. Lorex has not disappointed with this new doorbell camera. It is very easy to install, has good quality recording, and has all the features necessary for a doorbell camera. This unit does require a hardwire (which I prefer), but they built in a USB port which allows you to troubleshoot indoors. Lorex also doesn’t require any ridiculous subscription fees since it has local storage. Overall, I highly recommend this doorbell camera over most of the options available on the market today.
Design: As seen in the pictures, this is a medium sized doorbell camera. Overall, it lacks a clean and high-end look, but it is not an eyesore, either. It’s fairly compact but has good weight on it. The unit has a large and easy to identify lighted doorbell button. I prefer the rectangular shape which helps is blend into the wall and make it less noticeable from afar.
Installation: Extremely quick and simple. Lorex include extra cables, mounting plates, and even a drill bit to make the installation process seamless and quick. The mounting plates allow you to angle to camera more appropriately, but I do wish these manufacturers would start including right angle mounting options. All you need to do is power off your current doorbell, take it off the wall, run the wire through the mounting plate, mount the plate, attach the doorbell camera, and flip the power on. This can be done in 20 minutes. The process to download the app and have the camera connected was impressively easy and took me less than 10 minutes. Overall, I am extremely pleased with the installation process of this doorbell camera.
Function/Use: The doorbell camera has a built LED light which is far brighter than expected and a huge bonus. The motion detector is pretty sensitive off the bat, so adjustments would probably needed to be made based on personal preference. I never had any issues with the camera detecting motion and the automatic LED light is a great added benefit. Once someone rings the doorbell, I receive a notification on my phone almost instantaneously on and off WiFi. Usually there is an initial degraded picture quality while it buffers. The recorded picture quality has been impressive and the wide angle view really picks up a large area. You can’t really make out faces well until they are within ~8feet or so of the camera based on lighting. Unfortunately, I don’t have control of my outdoor light but with decent outdoor lighting, the nighttime capabilities of the camera are impressive. I suggest having some lighting at your doorstep since this camera performs very well with just a little help at night. Overall, I am happy with the day and night video quality and believe it’s as good and better than competitors’ products.
App/Audio: The app is super easy to use and allows you to customize the functionality of the device. The app did not crash and it was very easy to access live and recorded videos. You can also easily manage other Lorex devices. Again, I was impressed with the level of thought and sophistication Lorex has put in here. The audio interface was clear and extremely easy to use. No breaks in connections or difficulty hearing. The best part was that you can use pre-recorded messages. That way, you don’t have to worry about answering right away or at all.
Overall/TL;DR: This is an impressive doorbell camera. Lorex has made a quality product with no added fees. This doorbell camera is among the best I have seen and I would highly recommend this as a first choice device.

Thoughfully designed with areas of poor execution
on November 4, 2020
Posted by: TrueReviews20
I really enjoy this espresso machine and it is exactly what I was looking for in terms of automatic functionality. I think the Dinamica is a solid choice for those who what the utmost simplicity and wide variety of coffee choices without the hassle of a manual or semi-auto machine. The biggest drawback has been the difficulty in achieving the what I consider a really good cup of espresso or espresso based drink. For hard core coffee lovers, I think this machine will fall short of expectations and leave you wanting more from the machine.
Setup: So simple and convenient. Unfortunately, the main user manual is poorly written and can be hard to follow along. It seems scattered. This is coming from someone who reads very complex and detailed books for a living. The quick set up guides, however, are much simpler and straight forward but don't really give you a full understanding beyond getting it ready to use (obviously). Overall, it took me approximately 30 minutes to get the unit fully up and running and have a good understanding of all the removable/clean-able parts. Once you get it ready to use the rest is just a matter of understanding how to navigate the buttons and the automatic features of the units.
Design: The unit has good weight which makes it seem to have quality parts. It's not terribly large and looks pretty good on the countertop but not super luxe. Delonghi throws in some beans to start with but they're not particularly good. A charcoal filter is also included but I only add clean filtered water anyway so I opted out of it.
Milk container/frother: Really great feature and super easy to use. Unfortunately, I'm fairly disappointed in the quality of froth produced. It's quite thin and doesn't seem to incorporate enough steam into the milk. Using the same milk, I've had stand alone frother's do a much better job. Overall, I am really happy to have this feature and it stores easily in the fridge.
Grinder: Achieving the appropriate grind takes some playing around with as expected. With time I am overall content with the included grinder. Fortunately, Delonghi thought ahead and included the ability to add pre ground coffee into the machine so you could use a separate grinder.
Coffee/espresso: Overall, the coffee making in this machine is good. Way better the a "pod" system can produce and you can use fresh beans. For the espresso, I am still trying to perfect the cup. You can customize some options to help get the right espresso pour but I'm not confident enough tamping and pressure are applied internally. It would have been nice to have pressure adjustment settings. You can modify the strength which helps improve the overall flavor. Initially, I felt I was drinking very watered down espresso. Over time, I was able to improve this my adjusting the grind settings and strength of brew. I really enjoy the wide variety of drinks I can make. In addition, the ability to make "over ice" drinks is nice for the summers. The milk frother and espresso spouts are super adjustable so many cup sizes/heights which makes setup and pouring a breeze.
Cleaning: There aren't a ton of parts to clean and much of it is dishwasher safe. I really like the thought Delonghi put in to this. It's very easy to keep this machine clean and it automatically does a pre and post use rinse of the espresso spouts. The milk frother has a built in cleaning feature and you just wipe off the steamer when done. Cleaning is an absolute breeze and I really like that about this unit.
An important side note. The first unit I received had coffee ground all over the inside and outside of the unit. It wasn't just a little and the inside of the unit had it caked in to the bottom of the grounds tray. Delonghi responded quickly and smoothed everything over very quickly. They assured me this was a mistake and although the test the units prior to shipping, this was an oversight. I appreciate them standing by their product and resolving the issue rapidly.
Overall, I do recommend this unit. I think it takes some time to get used to but it will make a good cup of coffee and espresso. However, it's a pretty far cry from a high end manual or semi auto unit. Avid espresso fans will likely be disappointed. For me, the ease and simplicity make this a winner.

Good attachment but stand alone is better
on November 3, 2020
Posted by: TrueReviews20
Overall, this attachment works well and is a nice space saver. I prefer a stand alone unit since it provided me more consistent results and less wear and tear on the motor itself, since I use my Vitamix quite regularly.
Setup: Vitamix includes only 1 type of blade which is nice but I think and alternate blade would provide more versatility. I really like the 2 discs included since that allows significantly expanded functionality. They also come with their own case. There are two food pushers and a decent but not large size 12 cup container. It easily snaps in to the Vitamix blender but it is a two piece set up.
Processing: This processor is compatible with the different presets on my A3500 but it doesn't really translate since I don't use a food processor to make milkshakes, soup, or frozen desserts. It is helpful for the dips/spread mode. Overall, I pretty much only use the manual mode, similar to most stand alone food processing units. I use the disks regular to cut and slice vegetables and cheese. It cuts through them like butter and provides a nice, even cut. I make large batches for the week without difficulty. I use it regularly to meal prep my favorite pesto recipe as well. The difficult part is the learning curve with the manual mode of the blender. It's not an exact science and I feel like I need to modify my technique each time. The most difficulty occurs when using this for kneading dough and making baked goods. The results were inconsistent and hard to get right. I think with time this will improve but overall, a good stand alone unit will be better overall.
In general, I think this is a great attachment overall with some inconsistencies. It is a useful space saver by reducing the need to an additional unit. I don't necessarily like the additional wear on the motor. I know Vitamix is a high end brand, but I do think this is slightly overpriced. There are a lot of other units to at least consider at this price point, but you can beat the all in one option.

Step into virtual reality with this Oculus Rift S PC-powered headset. The advanced optics produce a sharp display with bright, vivid colors, and Oculus Insight tracking removes the need for external sensors to convert movements into virtual reality. This Oculus Rift S PC-powered headset has a fit wheel that secures the headset with a quick twist.

Does Google Earth or Wander work well with this? Can you move around in street view better than the previous version?

Google Earth works great. Very fine controls and immersive. Image quality is mediocre but best you can get these days. Streetview is relatively easy to control but definitely lags

Always know what’s happening at your door with the SimpliSafe Video Doorbell Pro. Its crystal-clear 1080p HD video and 162° field of view give you a clear shot of your property 24/7. Two-way audio lets you hear and speak to unwanted guests (and welcomed ones too) - even when you're not home. Have the SimpliSafe App? The Video Doorbell Pro will send instant alerts whenever someone approaches. And with Smart Person Detection, it can tell the difference between people, vehicles and animals. That means you only get the alerts that matter. Plus, when backed by 24/7 professional monitoring, you’ll have experts who are ready to request emergency dispatch when you need it most. This camera is designed for all weather extremes—so you're still protected in rain and snow. (Compatible with the SimpliSafe Gen 3 security system. Requires Wi-Fi (2.4GHz) and existing wired doorbell setup with mechanical chime and a transformer with 8-24 VAC, 30VA max. Not compatible with digital chimes.)

So if I have a receptacle right under to power the doorbell but do not have a existing chime or transformer would the doorbell work?

If you have a receptacle you would be able to wire in a new transformer. You don't necessarily need to have a chime. However, without a transformer wired up to where you're mounting the doorbell camera, you will not be able to use this. There is no included power supply. You need to buy a transformer that can wire into that Power or plug into it. Then run a wire up to the camera. However you'd be defeating the purpose of this camera because it could easily be unplugged rendering it completely useless.

Stream your favorite shows on this 60-inch Hisense television. Its 3840 x 2160 resolution and 8 ms response time bring scenes to life, and 4K upscaling transforms lower quality video into HD resolution. This Hisense television is equipped with HDMI inputs to connect to a gaming console or Blu-ray player.

Owned 1 month and tv is very sluggish when flipping thru channels, & now it will freeze up on a channel, and I physically have to unplug the tv power cord to get it to shut off. Also volume will randomly go from 0-50 without touching a button. ????

It is very likely the remote itself, unless it's the IR receiver. Change your remote batteries and clean it. Make sure no buttons are sticking. I'd also contact Hisense warranty support even if you're outside the warranty period. Hope this helps.

Listen to music for up to 10 hours with this black JBL portable speaker. It has a built-in Google Assistant that responds to voice commands, and it delivers rich stereo sound while you stream music via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. This water-resistant JBL portable speaker is made of durable materials, so you can use it outdoors safely.

My speaker does not talk back to me...why?

It has to connect to the app and WiFi. Make sure the WiFi light at the bottom is on and the speaker has connect to your phone. If the 4 lights at the top are flashing, it means it has not connected. Sometimes you have to turn it off, launch the app, then turn back on and give it a few minutes.

Does the Garmin require a SIM Card? Or does it connect to the internet through your cell phone?

No SIM required, it uses your phone for everything including internet connection. It relies on the app.
