Exactly what you want from a smart switch
on June 13, 2018
Posted by: TrueReviews20
There are many options nowadays for smart devices. There are cheap, moderate, and high-end devices and I'd say this set falls perfectly in the middle. I would recommend this smart switch set to any of my family and friends. I have electrical knowledge so set up was extremely easy for me. If you don't have any electrical experience do not be afraid! This is super easy to set up, but please make sure you understand the basics of electrical work and the important safety considerations. Overall, I had both switches installed in under an hour or so. Setting up the smart functionality was also simple and straight forward.
Highlights: You do not need to buy any extra equipment to get this set up! No hubs, smart home systems, bridges, etc. You can get this connected to your phone right out of the box. If you have an Echo or Google Home, you can link these up without extra equipment as well. Simple easy wiring. There was nothing different about wiring these switches than your standard light switch, you just get the awesome smart function as well. Looks great and will complement your other rectangular switches without noticing the difference, too much. App functionality was really simple and straight forward. I believe you can integrate this with the Apple Home app so you don't have to add more apps to your phone. Includes matching face plate. Instructions for set up are though a video, which was nice but I prefer text.
Important Considerations: This switch does not operate like a typical rocker switch. You just push on the bottom portion to control it manually, so it's slightly different than standard. This becomes a slight issue if you are mounting to a multi switch panel with non-smart switches. I had to swap out toggle switches for rocker style because all of my 3 way switches were on multi-switch panels. You might want to keep this in mind when you purchase. The entire switch is larger than your standard rocker switch, but this should not be a problem unless you have a lot of wiring in the box or an already crowded box. You should be able to work with it, but you might want to take a look at your install locations before purchasing any smart switch.
Overall I would recommend this switch set to anyone. TP Link kept it simple and straightforward. This set works exactly as it should. Most of the potential issues come from the install itself, which is out of the product's control. Make sure you know what you're doing and take a look at your install locations before jumping in. Otherwise, you will be very satisfied!

Stay aware and immersed in your music with these Sony wireless in-ear headphones. Digital noise cancellation blocks out external chaos while the Ambient Sound Mode lets in the noises you need to hear. These Sony wireless in-ear headphones work with Google Assistant for hands-free research and commands at the gym or on the run.

One of the best earsets I've used, 1 big issue
on June 7, 2018
Posted by: TrueReviews20
I really wanted to give this set 5 stars and I'll maybe settle at 4.5, but there is one big issue with it. This headset hits all the marks flawlessly except for some serious lag issues with almost every NON-music use. Videos, laptop notifications, "trash emptying" sounds, all seem to lag. Video lag is by far the worst I've ever experienced in any bluetooth set (even some really cheap $10 sets don't lag like this). Sony has done some great work in the headset/earbud market of late and I am very disappointed at this oversight. However, I must still recommend this set because literally everything else is designed and performs exceptionally.
Pros:
Sound
Look and feel
FIt
Battery life
Charging case
Ease of Use
Noise Cancelling
Ambient Noise feature
I have the silver/grey set which look nice and sleek for the active user, but I would prefer white or black for a more upscale commuter look. These earbuds fit perfectly into my ear right of the box and are super comfortable for long term wear. I regularly have them in for 3+ hours just for the noise cancelling feature alone. I've been using these for the majority of my 12 hour day, mixing it up with straight noise-cancelling and audio use. The noise cancelling is not the best ever, but I think it's the best on the market from a set of ear buds. Very happy with the noise isolation I'm able to receive, however in louder environments there is more to be desired. I'm very pleased with the sound quality as well. Downloading the associated app is unfortunately a must for too many products these days, but it allows for some extra control over the features. The sound balance is spot-on. I do feel the bass could come through more. However, the bass is not mottled or over-powering and I think most audio enthusiasts should be happy. I listened to a variety of genres with varying degrees of sound quality and this set was impressive throughout. The vocals were the star of all the songs.
Charging case is super convenient and makes is really easy to keep the buds charged up. Battery life is good and will definitely get through a full day of use but you'd need to charge them relatively often. These are earbuds so you have to expect this. Really pleased with how great these fit in my ears and stay in. Using them for workouts has also been really nice. They stay in place and keep sweat out of the ears. Sony's ambient noise feature has always been a favorite of mine and it comes in handy more often than you'd realize. I especially enjoy it when I fly.
Cons:
Lag
As mentioned earlier, I have experienced serious audio lag during non-music use. I've tried to adjust some source settings to fix this but that was to no avail. I don't know if an update can fix this, but hopefully Sony will address this. This is a huge problem for me and a big oversight by Sony. I still recommend these earphones, but I would consider holding off until this is solved (if ever).

Great for Hard floors, still need regualr vacuum
on May 6, 2018
Posted by: TrueReviews20
This is a well-designed floor cleaner that deserves 4.5 stars. Overall design is well thought out and quite functional. Worked great for all types of pet messes and dirt. This does a good job at cleaning and Bissell did a good job designing the CrossWave. One of the best parts is how easy it is to clean after each use. All the important parts are easy to remove, drain, and clean. The pet hair "strainer" is a nice feature that separates hair from the dirty water, but it can be tough to clean at times with longer pet hair. Glad they included the multi-surface cleaner, which I will probably buy again but I'll be testing with vinegar at some point. It's important to remember this is not a vacuum nor was it intended to be sold as one. It will work on any surface but this is not going to be your regular-use vacuum, unless you have all hard floors then you can (probably) try to use this as your main vacuum.
Pros:
Easy setup
Pet hair strainer
Pet friendly
Decent Maneuverability
Easy empty dirty water tank
Separate clean water tank
2 brush rolls
Buttons built in to handle
Super long cord
Easy cleaning
Include surface cleaner
Cleans well without having to go over many times
Pet owners and homes with young children will definitely benefit from this model. The CrossWave in general is pretty well made and seems to be durable. I am very happy with how well the CrossWaves cleans up messes. I generally don't have to go over an area twice as long as I don't move too fast. Hair, pawprints, dirty, sand, all get scooped up and cleaned. It does take a few tank fills to clean one floor of a medium sized homes when doing a deeper cleaning. It's also important to note that your floor will be damp for a little while. The roller is pretty easy to clean and doesn't get tangled up with hair. Most importantly, it's great for any mess. Bathrooms, kitchens, etc will all benefit from this cleaner regardless of pet ownership.
Maneuverability was pretty good but not great, I think there is some improvement to be made here, but this should be good enough for most people. The CrossWave is super easy to clean, which was a big plus for me. This vacuum utilizes the popular one touch removal and emptying of the tank, which is a good size and easy to operate. Integrating the surface buttons into the handle is another nice touch in the design so you don't have to bend over or stop what you're doing. They also include 2 rollers which keep this cleaner always ready to go. The rinse tray keeps everything nice and organized. The extra long power cord is very convenient. LED light is helpful but could have been positioned much better.
Cons:
Multi-surface households will require a good vacuum.
Overall, there are not many cons to this vacuum and I think most buyers will be very pleased. I think it's priced a little too high for to lack good vacuum-only functionality. However, this is a bit of a niche product that does exactly what it was made to do. I would recommend this cleaner.

Smart switch, a lot of potential
on April 16, 2018
Posted by: TrueReviews20
I was pretty excited to set up this switch and it has delivered on most of my expectations. The Alexa integration has become really useful and I'm looking forward to seeing the continual support and improvements that will be made over time. However, this switch also loses a star here because of the limited functionality that should have been released along with the device. As with all of these "Smart" peripherals these day, I think it comes in at a high price-point that moves this switch into a niche market. I was quite happy with the simple setup and Alexa integration. I did not like that I have to download the Ecobee app to set it up, but that's quite common in many products. Although I don't use the Ecobee thermostat (yet), I can understand why those owners are upset that Ecobee didn't include compatibility as a sensor right off the bat. I would definitely recommend this device, especially given its potential for growth.
Pros:
Easy to install with basic electrical knowledge
Alexa integration and functionality
Motion sensor
Away sensor
Light programming
Ecobee thermostat sensor (future)
Good sound considering size
Night light
Works with many smart ecosystems (Google, Apple, etc)
Generally speaking, the Switch+ is an Amazon Echo Dot plus smart switch. If you're in a different smart system like Google home or Apple, this device is still compatible with them. Ecobee made this to have universal functionality, which is nice. I need to have a few motion light switches and replacing 1 with this switch might push me to swap them all. It picks up motion really well, sometimes too well so you might want to consider the range of detection. Since this is a smart switch, it will turn off the connected lights if you forget to turn them of yourself when you leave. You can also do your own detailed programming (pretty simple to do) and set the connected light on a schedule, such as a porch light. I really liked this function because it can be painful to perform on some hardware store switches. You can use the Alexa to control the lights as well, nice if you're lazy like me and want to turn off the lights when you're in bed/on the couch. I was pleasantly surprised with the sound quality on this device. It gets loud enough to hear across a medium size room and music sounds good. I would have liked to see this device has the ability to connect to a bluetooth speaker. Overall, I can't complain with the sound output from a wall switch. The night light is a great feature as well. I should also mention that installing this into your existing or new switch should be quite simple if you have basic electrical knowledge.
Cons:
Limited functionality
No bluetooth
Slow roll-out
Large size may limit installations
Price
The Switch+ will get better as time goes on, which is far more than many smart peripherals offer. It is disappointing to see some important features, like Ecobee sensor, not available from the start. It doesn't matter to me right now since I do not use their thermostat. I would have liked to see more Alexa functionality such as intercom and whole-house music play. Maybe these features could be added overtime, but it would be nice to have now. Including bluetooth would have been very useful to connect an external speaker. The large size may cause issues when installing into an existing box. I was able to squeeze it into a box with two switches. Boxes with a lot of wiring could pose a potential problem. Lastly, I'm not too fond of the price point. Although it is not extravagant considering most smart peripherals are more expensive, I believe this could be cheaper. I won't be replacing switches by the dozen, but this is good for a few.
In the end, this is a good device and would recommend it.

Big sound from a portable, outdoor speaker
on March 20, 2018
Posted by: TrueReviews20
Sony has impressed me with this speaker as my expectations weren't the highest. This portable has a great look, gets loud, great battery, and you can feel the quality. There wasn't much to really dislike, so it's going to come down to personal preference. In my opinion, its much better looking than some of the other outdoor/active speakers that have been around for a while.
Pros:
Loud
Look and Design
Functionality
Battery Life
Charging Port
AUX Port
"Daisy-Chain"
Cons:
Missing drop resistance
Standard Bass
App
This speaker was designed with the outdoors in mind. It's perfect for the beach, camping, or your backyard. I've been very happy with the battery life since it's lasted me through an entire day outside (at high volume), and then some without having to recharge. It also includes a charging port so you can charge a device thru USB. I'm also glad they included the AUX port. Basically is has all the standard features you'd expect. What sets it apart from other speakers is the high quality look and feel. The speaker is heavy and feels good. It's IP67 rated, which is pretty good, but it will not stand up well to drops. That is an important feature for an outdoor speaker, but you lose the look and design with drop/damage resistant speakers.
I was very happy with the loudness of the speaker. You can definitely jam out with a small crowd in most environments, but this speaker won't cover much more than the size of a small suburban backyard. The sound was good not great. It is balanced so that the bass does not wash out the mids and lows. The mids/lows don't distort even with loud sound. However, I'm not too happy with the bass. The bass lacked depth and punch. I've heard much better from other competitors, but this improved by using the EXTRA Bass feature within the app. In my opinion, the sound lost some balance with this feature, but overall it was a great improvement. Personally I am not a have of having to use an app to maximize the use of speakers, but it does allow more control over specific functions like the lights. The lights are definitely cool and sets this speaker a part. Lastly, you can connect multiple speakers together to expand your coverage.
I recommend looking at this speaker if you're in the market for a portable/outdoor speaker. It has a good price point and will definitely compete with other similar speakers, but the choice will come down to personal preference.

Impressive DIY system, best DIY system out there
on March 19, 2018
Posted by: TrueReviews20
I have a lot of experience and interest in home security. I was honestly quite skeptical of this system and any DIY home security overall. I have found myself to be pleasantly surprised with the capabilities of this package. I would give this 4.5 stars if possible. SimpliSafe really upped their game with this newest release which was long overdue. The older model was far inferior to competitors products and to this new edition. The old model was also one of the ugliest sets of equipment I'd ever seen. However, they've come a long way and I can now say I would recommend the SimpliSafe package to my own family (with a few caveats). Quick thoughts and summary at the end for tl;dr
Perfect for: Small homes (less than ~2,000 sq. ft depending on layout), Condos, Town-homes, Vaction homes, apartments
Look: All components are much more modern looking and can be used in upscale homes. My biggest disappointment would be the keypad. It's sleek, with a nice screen, but I still think it could be much improved to fit in to a modern or luxury home. Not that the Honeywell Vistas are modern marvels, but I am not a fan of the exposed keypad. The base station is nice a small. I have the white set which blends in nicely, but the black version looks good too.
Set-up: Just about anyone, even elderly or physically challenged should have little issue setting up the entire system. The motion sensors require the most work, but not any more than changing a smoke detector battery. The setup guide was easy to follow. I chose to go thru the entire setup and label the location of each sensor with post-its, then did final installation at the end.
Installation: A few specific thoughts about the installation. I was not the biggest fan of 3M command strips as the adhesive. These are meant for posters to be hung. Yes, the sensor weight is minimal, but sensors are prone to more environmental exposure (opening closing doors/windows). Typical ADT sensors don't stand up with the more heavy duty adhesives they come with so this should be interesting. I suggest reinforcing with heavy duty double sided tape.
Security: It does what it's supposed to. I've had no problem activating and deactivating. The key fob works from at least 30 feet. I did test alarms and it sounded off as it should. The siren could be louder and I would prefer a siren separate from the base itself. I'm disappointed that the keypad runs only on 4 AA batteries. There should have been hardwire/AC adapter wiring available. That is a big miss on SimpliSafe's design. At the very least they should have included rechargeable batteries.
Fortunately I haven't need the system to do what it's designed to do, so I can't speak to its efficacy during a break-in. However, it has a very important feature that you must look out for in a home security system: CRASH AND SMASH PROTECTION. This means that if someone breaks in and completely demolishes the base unit, SimpliSafe will still be notified and the police will be dispatched. Some major companies and DIY systems do not have this feature which makes your alarm absolutely useless.
Overall, I really recommend this for smaller uses. Yes it can be expanded quite a bit to big homes, but I believe it's better to go with a more professional system in those scenarios. The system is priced okay, and the monitoring is also decently priced. In comparison, with a lot of my own personal experience, other companies like ADT (direct not authorized dealers) charge more on the monthly but can offer greater equipment savings. This is just for perspective. Home security must be tailored to each individual scenario and I'm confident this system would protect my family. I just don't believe it is once size fits all.

AMAZING around-ear sound packaged into In-ear buds
on March 11, 2018
Posted by: TrueReviews20
Sennheiser is sometimes overlooked by mainstream buyers when considering headphones. They are one of my favorite brands and they have delivered good quality and sound once again. Although there are some minor improvements I'd like to see, the IE headphones have impressed me. These earphones blew me away within 30 seconds of listening to them. There is generally a significant different sound-profile when listening to IE Headphones compared to around-ear and I honestly was not expecting to be blown away. These are AMAZING! The sound quality, fit, and sound level are some of the best I've experienced in any type of headphone. I highly suggest buying this set without thinking twice.
Pros:
Absolutely phenomenal sound
Excellent Fit
Good look
Great design
The sounds perfectly balanced. The Bass packs a punch with good depth that does not overpower the vocals or instruments. High notes never distort, even at the loudest sound levels. I'm very happy with the consistent delivery regardless of genre or sound source. Watching movies felt like I was right in the action. I cannot emphasize how great the sound on this set is. Sennheiser always has great fitting IE headphones in my experience. Absolutely no wiggle. I don't even realize they're in. I really like the design of this set, although it could look more high-end, since this is an expensive set. A single colored black/matte black would have sufficed. Sennheiser also killed it with balancing a counterweight (I assume this is the battery) one the Left earbud opposite the controls. It can be really annoying and off-balancing when there are controls on one side and nothing on the other.
Cons:
Would like to see slightly better battery life
Could have more high-end/luxury look.
Buy these now. Don't even think about.

Excellent Budget TV, mediore smart functionality
on February 26, 2018
Posted by: TrueReviews20
This is a surprisingly great 4K UHD TV set. If you are on a budget and want a large screen size, I highly recommend considering this model. I generally stray away from TVs that are not from top brands, but my thinking has now changed. This set excels where it matters most, picture quality, colors, and brightness. It requires significant improvement in smart functionality. The sound can get loud, but the quality is poor. Pair this TV with a Soundbar or a proper surround system and you are good to go. Set up is quick and easy. This is a heavier set (which is a good thing generally), but not necessarily more-so than higher-end models. Very thin with enough inputs and sound outputs.
Pros:
Picture Quality
Colors
Brightness
Set-up
Cons:
Blacks/Greys/Dark Scenes
Sound
Smart features
Basic remote
Bright edges
Picture/Colors: The picture quality on this set is at least comparable to top-brand entry-level models, if not better. The picture modes do a great job of adjusting to a wide variety of viewing preferences, without needing the technical knowledge of advanced adjustment. For the more experienced viewer, there are enough settings in the advanced menu to get you close to exactly what you want. For standard cable viewing I used the Normal mode, Theater for HDMI devices, and gaming for gaming. I was actually pleasantly surprised that each mode seemed to be good enough right out the box. ECO mode was just not good in my opinion. Compared to two other 4K TVs (entry and mid-level), I was very content with the 4K quality on this model. Unbelievable detail was present on true 4K videos. Planet Earth was truly unbelievable and reflected the natural colors. Reds were not too orange or yellows. Purples did not blend in to blues. Bright white looked natural, not like an LED bulb or bright light. I did a side-by-side with two 1080p sets and the difference was vast. The quality and detail was unmatched and you could clearly see the colors were significantly more natural. The picture was balanced, colors did not overpower each other and more-so complemented each other. Very impressive. It is important to note that you can clearly see the brighter edges during solid color transitions, which is a common low-end model problem. Surprisingly, this has not been apparent during normal viewing (so far).
Dark Scenes: Very mediocre, if not poor blacks and greys. A common problem, only conquered by few models that are generally high-end. However, there are definitely entry-level models that do much better than this. Dark scenes are quite washed out and colors blend in to one anther. If you're watching Resident Evil, you're going to be disappointed. However, as a budget TV I'm not too surprised.
Gaming: Had a great time playing Call of Duty MW4 Remastered and GTAV. Did not experience much motion blur, if at all. The colors were just as good when watching TV and 4K videos. Input lag was minimal, did not really notice a big change in my gaming performance when switching to this TV. On GTA it was more vivid and a lot more fun having a bigger, higher quality screen to play on. It must be noted that the PS4 does not output 4K, only the PS4 Pro does which I currently do not have. The TV has built-in upscaling which may have contributed to improved quality.
Sports: The Olympics looked great on this TV. There was noticeable motion blur at times but infrequent. When football season is back, I'm sure this TV will perform great.
Sound: As mentioned earlier this TV gets very loud, but the quality is poor. The sound quickly distorts at medium level sound. Bass is non-existent. There is no balance in the sound field. I hooked it up to my soundbar through the optical port and boom, problem solved. One annoying problem that I haven't solved is sound control. Even with the TV sound set to off, the volume bar pops up when I control the sound (using the TV remote). Small nuisance but important to note.
Remote: Super basic, nothing like the voice remotes on entry-level TVs of big name-brands. I really like the incorporation of 4 quick start buttons (Netflix, Amazon, Vudu, and I think hulu). Backlight would have been nice since it is a full function remote.
Smart Functions: To start positive, this TV has a fast response. It is not terribly slow or buggy, which I was expecting. Not as fast as more expensive TVs, but fast enough and most importantly, responsive. That said, the functionality and design is poor. Once in the full app center, it is difficult to navigate and find what you are looking for. Good luck searching for an app you want to download. It is also extremely limited in its app suite compared to Samsung, LG, etc. You are definitely going to want a separate smart device like Amazon, Apple, Roku, etc. This is a big problem because you're gonna want the 4K versions of those devices since this is a 4K tv and that adds unnecessary cost in my opinion. Hisense really needs to improve upon this. I still have no clue how to access the web browser directly. The browser is also quite slow and difficult to use at times. The native YouTube and Netflix apps (others as well) can inherently stream 4K, which is good. Overall, a big miss on this tv.
To sum up, this is a great budget TV. You're not going to get a TV this size with this quality at this price. If you're trying to build up a nice set-up piece by piece and as your budget grows, I'd consider this set. TVs always get better, so this will keep you happy as you grow other peripherals like 4K streaming devices and a home theater.

"Smart" alarm clock
on February 14, 2018
Posted by: TrueReviews20
Overall very pleased with this speaker. It's different than most portable speakers or the manufacturer direct Voice-activated speakers on the market. I was able to use this speaker as a replacement to my office clock at home. The Google Voice capability was pretty good and able to execute commands. Sound quality was good, but not the best I have heard. Includes a charger. I was happy to see this speaker has a screen that displays time and temperature without having to ask.
Pros:
Display
Easy Setup
Portable
Sound Quality
Setup was fairly quick and simple. You must have a Google account and set it up through the "Google Home" app. I was able to use the full capabilities of Google Assistant, which is nice to see. However, Google Assistant is still catching up with Amazon, so it may be important to compare features. I was content. Sound quality was pleasant, but the bass was not perfectly balanced with highs/mids. Vocals were mostly clear but sometimes distorted at higher volumes or higher notes.
Cons:
Look
Sound
Phone integration
This speaker looks a lot a late 90s/early 2000s bedside alarm radio meets modern technology. I enjoy the speaker having a display and believe its unique to find. However, I believe this is speaker could have looked much better. As for sound, although it was on a pro for good quality, can be improved. A big down side that I have come to notice is the lack of phone integration. Cannot use it to make or answer calls. This is a pretty basic feature that should definitely be included.
Overall, I think it's a great "smart" alarm clock that does much more than a standard alarm clock.

Better option for portable Google Voice
on February 2, 2018
Posted by: TrueReviews20
Overall very pleased with this speaker. It's different than most portable speakers or the manufacturer direct Voice-activated speakers on the market. I was able to use this speaker as a replacement to my office clock at home. The Google Voice capability was pretty good and able to execute commands. Sound quality was good, but not the best I have heard from a portable. Includes a charger. I was happy to see this speaker has a screen that displays time and temperature without having to ask.
Pros:
Display
Easy Setup
Portable
Good Battery

However, Google Assistant is still catching up with Amazon, so it may be important to compare features. I was content. The battery life was good. I was able to play music daily and have the display on for at least 3 days. Sound quality was pleasant, but the bass was not perfectly balanced with highs/mids. Vocals were mostly clear but sometimes distorted at higher volumes or higher notes.

Step into virtual reality with this Oculus Rift S PC-powered headset. The advanced optics produce a sharp display with bright, vivid colors, and Oculus Insight tracking removes the need for external sensors to convert movements into virtual reality. This Oculus Rift S PC-powered headset has a fit wheel that secures the headset with a quick twist.

Does Google Earth or Wander work well with this? Can you move around in street view better than the previous version?

Google Earth works great. Very fine controls and immersive. Image quality is mediocre but best you can get these days. Streetview is relatively easy to control but definitely lags

Always know what’s happening at your door with the SimpliSafe Video Doorbell Pro. Its crystal-clear 1080p HD video and 162° field of view give you a clear shot of your property 24/7. Two-way audio lets you hear and speak to unwanted guests (and welcomed ones too) - even when you're not home. Have the SimpliSafe App? The Video Doorbell Pro will send instant alerts whenever someone approaches. And with Smart Person Detection, it can tell the difference between people, vehicles and animals. That means you only get the alerts that matter. Plus, when backed by 24/7 professional monitoring, you’ll have experts who are ready to request emergency dispatch when you need it most. This camera is designed for all weather extremes—so you're still protected in rain and snow. (Compatible with the SimpliSafe Gen 3 security system. Requires Wi-Fi (2.4GHz) and existing wired doorbell setup with mechanical chime and a transformer with 8-24 VAC, 30VA max. Not compatible with digital chimes.)

So if I have a receptacle right under to power the doorbell but do not have a existing chime or transformer would the doorbell work?

If you have a receptacle you would be able to wire in a new transformer. You don't necessarily need to have a chime. However, without a transformer wired up to where you're mounting the doorbell camera, you will not be able to use this. There is no included power supply. You need to buy a transformer that can wire into that Power or plug into it. Then run a wire up to the camera. However you'd be defeating the purpose of this camera because it could easily be unplugged rendering it completely useless.

Stream your favorite shows on this 60-inch Hisense television. Its 3840 x 2160 resolution and 8 ms response time bring scenes to life, and 4K upscaling transforms lower quality video into HD resolution. This Hisense television is equipped with HDMI inputs to connect to a gaming console or Blu-ray player.

Owned 1 month and tv is very sluggish when flipping thru channels, & now it will freeze up on a channel, and I physically have to unplug the tv power cord to get it to shut off. Also volume will randomly go from 0-50 without touching a button. ????

It is very likely the remote itself, unless it's the IR receiver. Change your remote batteries and clean it. Make sure no buttons are sticking. I'd also contact Hisense warranty support even if you're outside the warranty period. Hope this helps.

Listen to music for up to 10 hours with this black JBL portable speaker. It has a built-in Google Assistant that responds to voice commands, and it delivers rich stereo sound while you stream music via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. This water-resistant JBL portable speaker is made of durable materials, so you can use it outdoors safely.

My speaker does not talk back to me...why?

It has to connect to the app and WiFi. Make sure the WiFi light at the bottom is on and the speaker has connect to your phone. If the 4 lights at the top are flashing, it means it has not connected. Sometimes you have to turn it off, launch the app, then turn back on and give it a few minutes.

Does the Garmin require a SIM Card? Or does it connect to the internet through your cell phone?

No SIM required, it uses your phone for everything including internet connection. It relies on the app.
