Nice bluetooth workout headphones

I really like the Backbeat FIT 305, especially for the price. When I wear them to exercise (walking, riding a bike or lifting weights) they feel very light and low-profile. The ear fit is exceptional, especially if you are looking to block out the noise around you. The integrated loops ad the oval design of the ear tips really makes a difference and help seal off your ear canal. The sound is great for it's price range. I use these to work out and either listen to music or watch tv. I use a loud chain driven Schwinn Airdynne with a fan and I had no problem listening to music and the tv. My volume was about the as other head phones, may a level or two down a little since the seal was so good for canceling out the noise. I felt the earbuds offered good bass and a decent amount of clarity. I found battery life good. I could get a typical workout worth and have plenty of battery left. What I really like is the cloth cable. They feel more secure and the headphones are not tangling as much. The extra weight/girth to me helps the headphones stay in place better as I work out. The only con I have is the chunky inline remote. With the ear buds being so light and small, they do need a place for a battery and charging port along with controls. Maybe if it was centered it would be balanced better instead of having one side feel heavier than the other. When I adjusted the length of the cord and connected it to the back of my shirt, those adjustments seemed to reduce movement of the inline remote as I was exercising. I had no issues connecting the headphones to an iphone, android or my TV. If you are looking for a sub $100 sweat resistant earbuds with great noise canceling this is an earbud for you.

Great HD camera and weather proof

The Arlo Pro 2 is a nice upgrade from last years model. The Pro 2 now supports 1080p video capture (up from 720p) and the Pro 2 offers the ability to set alert zones. This way the camera can alert you if someone is walking on your lawn, but now when someone is walking on the sidewalk. They have also added a subscription plan. Rates are from $99 to $299 a year it will store 24/7 recordings from an Arlo camera between 14 and 60 days. If you don't want to pay for a subscription, Netgear will still store the past 7 days of recordings (only triggered when there's motion or sound) for free.
The cameras are cordless so you can set them up anywhere in your house or yard. The cameras connect to a base station and the station requires power and internet service. If you want 24/7 recording you will need to plug in the cameras. It is suggested that you keep a battery installed in case of a power failure. Battery life is about 2-3 months and less if you live in an urban setting. Extreme heat and especially cold will greatly reduce battery life too. Battery life also takes another hit since the cameras can now film at 1080p.
Installing the cameras is easy you just use the magnetic mounts. The magnetic base lets you easily adjust the camera's view. If you are looking for a more permanent solution a wall mount screw set is included. Unfortunately if you want to plug in the cameras outside you will need to buy a separate Outdoor Power Adapter. You will also have to make sure that the outlet you are plugging the cable into is weather proof as only the connector that plugs into the camera is water proof.
Viewing angles on the camera have upgraded to 130 degrees. The cameras can pan and zoom digitally but they don't move like other pan and tilt cameras. The Arlo will zoom into an area with their field of view and give you a more detailed look. At night, you can get about 25 feel of night vision. At night I really couldn't make out a face past 10 feet and during the day it went up to about 30 feet.
Audio is now offered in this package. You can two way talk using your smartphone to speak with someone near the camera and they can speak with you too. There is audio streaming too and sound detection. The sound detection is neat since the cameras will send you an email or push alert if a loud sound like breaking glass or crashing objects. You can also set the cameras to record videos based on sound alerts. This is great if you are away on vacation and see that there is a storm in you area. If you receive a sound alert you can send a repair man to check to see if there was any damage.
The Arlo detects motion with an analog motion sensor, which unfortunately case more false alarms. Fortunately Arlo uses a PIR motion sensor with adjustable sensitivity. I found that being able to adjust sensitivity helped reduce, but not eliminate false alarms. The sire is loud, really loud. I could hear the alarm two houses over and I was inside the front door of my neighbors. The cameras can also classify motion into categories. You can set it for cars, animals, people and other. With Arlo smart you can choose which categories to be alerted.
What I found that really separates the Arlo from other camera security sets in that the cameras offer zones. From the mobile app you can create three rectangular shaped zones and the camera will only monitor activity within the ones while ignoring other events. The cameras also have a 3 second buffer. This allows the Arlo to always be ready and if motion is detected, the camera will record the event and include the three seconds before the event.
The app is great, it works on either iOS or Android. It allows for a lot of flexibility by letting you set the Arlo with different modes. You can tell the camera to notify you of motion alerts but not sound alerts or the other way around. You can swap between modes by manually using the app or you can set the cameras to automatically change modes based on a schedule. The app also lets you watch live videos, access video history and change settings of you system.
The Arlo also work with other Arlo devices if you are looking to expand. The Arlo will also work with third party devices. If you are using Philips Hue light bulbs and automate your home, you can tell the Philips Hue lights to turn on when the Arlo detects motion. You could also trigger the Arlo to start recording when you August Smart Lock is unlocked. The Arlo also works with the Echo show or fire tv, so you could say Alexa show me the front door and you can see who is at your front door.
There is a lot to like about this new Arlo Pro 2. I would highly recommend this is having camera security ranks highly in your needs.

A worthy cordless vacuum cleaner

This is a great vacuum that is very multifunctional. You can use the smallest size for quick jobs, the long extender for crevices, corners and cobwebs and there is even a bottom attachment for regular vacuum cleaning. The unit comes with a crevice tool, dusting brush, my favorite a pet upholstery tool, pivoting extension tool, my second favorite the powered stair tool, and a reach want tool storage kit. I can go from cleaning wall to wall carpet, to cleaning the cat hair off of my couch, cleaning up cobwebs on the ceiling with minimal effort. My couches were filled with cat hair and took a lot the first time to clean, but after the initial cleaning now the maintenance is super easy and much faster. The powered stair cleaner is awesome. I no longer have to use a crevice cleaner to vacuum the stairs that have outdoor carpeting and no more lugging my standup vacuum cleaner and trying to balance it on the steps as I am hunched over vacuuming. I have too kids and the floor sense is awesome. Now after a meal, we just vacuum up on the linoleum floor. The best part is that it is cordless. No more plugging in and unplugging to the next outlet. I have a house that has multiple surfaces a couple of rooms with wall to wall carpet, outdoor carpet, wood floors, linoleum and tile. The Hoover comes with FloorSense Technology where it is able to detect a change in floor type. I found that it worked well. The bottom attachment for regular vacuuming is nice too. It has a far reach and goes under tables, chairs and desks much better than a standup vacuum. You can also easily disengage the brush to clean up all the hair and debris that you are going to collect. The Hoover was able to adjust from when I went to the carpet to the wood floor. You can turn off the sensor too and have the brush working all of the time too. I even used this in my car which was great. It doesn't work as well as a shop vac, but for a quick clean it is awesome. No more working around the cord and getting tangled up and having to stop everything so you can vacuum the other side of the car, a real time saver.

Nice basic system with no contract required

This is my first Home security system ever. Here is what comes in the box you get 1 base station, 1 keypad, 6 entry sensors, 2 motion sensors, 1 keychain remote, 1 yard sign and 2 windows decals. This set up lets you set up a nice size house. The square footage on my house is 1900 and I had no issues. Plus you can always add other sensors to meet your needs. Installation was very easy and the directions where clear which helped with making the installation easy. Set up took me about an hour. The base station that powers the system is a 10.5 inch tall large white plastic cone that glows to tell you that the alarm is on and pulses when there is an error with a sensor. What I liked best about the base is that there is a sim card that allows cellular communication for monitoring instead of a landline which is great since I no longer use a landline. Keypad installation was easy too. No wiring was required, I just peeled off the backing and stuck the keypad to the wall. The manual says that you can even change where you place the keypad and move it too a new resident too. The keychain also doubles as a USB drive and if you have a PC, you can plug it in and use the Easy Setup wizard to configure your system.
There are three modes for activity monitoring. You can use home mode which activates door and windows sensors. Away mode which activates both the entry sensors and the motion sensors. Test mode lets you set up the system and to check that all sensors are working. When you arm the alarm and a sensor goes off, you have 30 seconds to enter your pin. If you sign up for their service, and you do not enter it, the sirens go off from the base unit and sends an alert to SimpliSafe. They will call you and ask for your safe word. If you don't provide the safety word, the police are sent to your house.
If you pay the monthly fee, you have access to SimpliSafe's online dashboard to control your system. The Dashboard also lets you view your System Event Log, change your PIN, assign up to four guest PINs, and choose an optional Duress PIN. From here you can adjust entry and exit delay time, manage and rename sensors and change the siren volume. There is a mobile app too for Android and iOS. You will need to pay for the plan to have access to the app. The app basically lets you turn the system on or off and view your system event log.
There are many different types of service plans, but if you don't want to pay a monthly fee you can use your SimpliSafe as a local alarm and it is up to you to contact the police. Where it can come in handy is if you have teenagers and you can set up entry sensor by a door where your liquor cabinet is and you will be notified each time the cabinet is accessed. You can even add cameras to the system.

Good sounding, great fit but BT needs to improve

I exercise on an indoor bike for 2 hours a day an listen to music and watch TV while riding. I sweat a lot and ride an exercise bike that uses my arms too so I get a lot of movement. I have used many Bluetooth headphones, but this is my first pair that is truly wireless. The Jaybird Run set up is great. I no longer have to worry about the cord hitting the back of my neck and now my earphones stay in much better and there is a lot less noise from my bike. The earbuds come with two different-sized round silicone tips, as well as two pairs of oval-shaped tips that creates a better seal for passive isolation and stopped sweat from coming in my ear.
I like how the earbuds sit almost flush with my ears and I think I will be able to wear a hat over the earbuds without it causing interference with sound.
The earbuds come with an app that lets you customize the EQ for the sound you like. If you have found a customizable EQ sound that you like you can even delete the app and the customizable EQ is saved with your earbuds.
I use my head phones to connect with my tv and I had no problems. My bike is about 6 feet away and I had solid connections. I had the same results when I connected them to my iphone. However, I did encounter the odd stutter in the connection between the two buds themselves. This may drive some people crazy but I am hoping a software update will fix this. I used my headphones at home so I did not have a lot of competition for signals. People have reported that there are issues with Bluetooth connection when in crowded areas.
The earbud case is the charger. Battery life is about 8 hours and five minutes can provide about an hour of listening time which is nice.
The controls are nice, but basic. The outside of each earbud casing is home to the Jaybird logo, and behind this you'll find a discreet single button. This rather limits the level of control you have for each earbud over the four-way button of the Jabra Elite Sport. These can be configured to either act as Play/Pause and Answer/Reject for calls on the right earbud, and Siri/Google Assistant available on the left. Double-pressing each earbud skips forwards or backwards.
If you plan on using these head phones at home or a non crowded area I would recommend these earbuds, I really had few issues, but if you plan on using this in a crowded area with lots of other people using Bluetooth, I would look at other products.

Nice vacuum with great app, Alexa and WiFi support

This is a great vacuum for the those who like to use technology. The DEEBOT works with your Wi-Fi to let you schedule, control and monitor your DEEBOT through the Ecovacs smartphone app. With the app you can control you DEEBOT at home or away. The app allows you to schedule or start automatic cleaning. Schedule daily or weekly cleanings at anytime of the day and at different times each day. It allows you to select cleaning modes, cleaning path based on floor type and where you want the robot to clean in certain places along with batter life. All of this from your phone which I found to be awesome.
It is also Alexa enabled so using an Amazon Echo you can ask your DEEBOT to start cleaning, stop, charge, etc for when you don’t have your phone near you.
I have two boys, two cats and we heat our house with a wood burning stove so there is always lots of crumbs, dried cat food, leaves, grass, dirt and wood debris in the house. We have carpet, tile, wood floor and linoleum floors. I was pleased with the DEEBOT. The DEEBOT comes with a V shaped main brush that helps lift more of the carpet which cleaned the carpet better. There is also a direct suction function too which gives you tangle free suction. The DEEBOT lets you choose what time of cleaning to use Brush or direct suction which I found to be very useful since our house has so many different types of flooring. I felt that the DEEBOT worked better on the hardwood floor and tile than carpet. If you let the DEEBOT go over the carpet several times it will do a better job, but it means it is running longer. My only con is that it does not come with any type of mechanism to stop it from entering in another room.
I would recommend the DEEBOT if you have more hardwood and flooring than carpet and especially if you like to be able to control your vacuum schedule and especially when you are not home this is a great vacuum cleaner.

Enjoy up to 10 hours of wireless audio with these Sony noise-canceling headphones. Solid ear phones

I use my head phones a lot over 2 hours a day while riding a bike indoors and watch movies and tv shows. My exercise bike is loud so I was looking for a head phone that had some good noise canceling capabilities. The Sony did not disappoint me. I ride a Schwinn Airdyne Comp that has a fan, the head phones had no problem blocking out the noise. So much so that I could lower the volume that I typically watch a tv show at. The ear buds stayed in place throughout the entire ride and I wasn’t sure if the neck piece would cause a lot of noise rubbing up against my neck, but to my surprise it didn’t. Even while exercising the neck piece only caused minimal noise compared to when sitting still. The harness helps prevent the cords from table up and ensures that the earbuds are set up so they won’t tug or pull when I was working out. The earbuds fit firmly in my ears, but they were comfortable. They did not fall out while I was riding my bike and sweating. I can’t say that for all head phones. I easily connected the headphones to my iphone 8 and to my LG OLED tv. The tv can finicky setting up Bluetooth devices and headphones, but the Sony connected to the TV without any problems.
There's also the ability to adjust the sound position. It's a visual display where you can select whether you want the sound to come from; in front, front-right, front-left, rear-left, rear-right and headphone. This is another odd, but cool experience. When I select rear-right, for example, I could swear that I have a stereo with speakers behind my to the right blasting music. I half expected my co-workers to turn and look to see where the music is coming from. There's several preset surround sound settings as well. You have to choose sound positioning, surround sound or nothing. You can't have both for obvious reasons. I prefer concert hall as I feel that the sound is most rich. Arena really sounds like the recorded music is live. It's incredibly impressive. There's an equalizer function as well with multiple presets as well as the ability to fine tune custom presets to your own preferences.
The only con for this ear phone is that it can only connect to one device at a time. If you need to switch the ear buds over to another device you have to disconnect it and reconnect it to the new device.
I would highly recommend these ear buds if you are looking for excellent sound, tangle free and noise cancellation.

Great time saver

I love this vacuum. I have two boys, two cats and we use a wood stove to heat our house in the winter. Someone in the family is always sweeping up, whether it is after a meal, coming in after playing outside, dry cat food or wood and ash debris on the floor. The cleaner comes with a remote that can be programed to have the robot start at a certain time of the day. We have set the timer for the morning and I am no longer coming home to a mess. We run the vacuum one more time at night and it is clean again. The first time we ran the vacuum it took about 45 minutes to do our first floor (about 800 sq. feet). We have one carpeted area, linoleum, tile and a wood floor. The vacuum was able to make it over the various heights with no problem. Each time we use it, the vacuum takes less time and it is closer to 30 minutes. The ION has great sensors. After it has learned our rooms, it rarely bumps into walls, door frames or baseboards. The ION navigated around corners, doors, chair feet, and bar-stool legs without any problems. We can now finally vacuum under our beds on a regular basis. Cleanup is easy too, you will be amazed at how much debris and fine dust it collects in the dirt container. They also have something called BotBoundary which you can put in front of a door way and the ION will not go past that. Charging time is good and takes about 3 hours on the first charge and lasts for about an hour and a half. The only cons for the ION was that you have to program each day for your start time, but it is very easy to do. The ION is also much quieter than a regular vacuum. If you are looking to reduce a daily chore and have your vacuum go where you usually can’t go, I would recommend the ION.

Perfect replacement cable

This is a perfect replacement cable to charge your Apple Watch. It works just like the charging cable that comes with an Apple Watch but in my opinion has some improvements. The magnet in the charger is much stronger and has a strong connection. I no longer worry if my Series 3 Nike Apple Watch is going to fall off while charging. The cord is thicker and stronger. I put it in my backpack to take to work and it doesn’t tangle and I am not worried that it will break. Charging time seeems to be about the same. I have used the cable with the charging plug that comes with the Apple Watch and an Aukey charger and I have not had any compatibility issues that you can see with other cables. If you need to replace your cord or are looking for a stronger cable buy this one.

Great for typing but not if you use your iPad iOS

If you use your iPad for word, excel or your primary function is to type, then I would buy this keyboard. I like the travel on the keyboard, it is a nice distance to press down. The keys do not always work and if I type as fast as I do on an Apple keyboard, the keys do not always register. It is not as accurate as a regular keyboard.
There are some great short cuts. When you hit the command button and wait for a second, all of the command short cuts appear on the screen for the various apps you are using. You can control brightness, volume, music a key to go back to the home screen. Lots of things to make your typing experience easier and faster.
If you primarily use your iPad as a tablet, you swipe on the screen to navigate on the iPad, you love the gestures of iOS 11 and you want to protect the back of the iPad do not buy this. When the keyboard and the iPad line up, it make it very difficult to swipe from the bottom to access your dock and to switch between apps. The keyboard does not swivel all the way back so if you want to view the iPad in Portrait mode the keyboard now makes the iPad twice as wide.
As for protection, the keyboard protects the screen well when closed but I had a hard time connecting it to the iPad with the glass screen protector I had on my iPad. I carry my iPad in a front and back cover and when I attach the keyboard, I have to take the case off and now the back of my iPad is not protected.
