Great little audio splitter

We are using this splitter off the back of a TV in which my mother-in-law has one end hooked up to a BT speaker (but wired in this case) while my father-in-law uses some RF headphones we also purchased with this order to listen to stuff louder than the speaker so as to not drown out everyone else in the room with the loud volume. Let's just say he's a little hard of hearing, so this setup alleviates the problem. Great little splitter - no problems so far.

It makes good coffee... :) The clock is a great touch. It’s compact yet very solid and durable. It doesn’t look OR feel cheap. Great PC for the basics

We got this tab/PC for our upcoming freshman for high school. There was not a ton of video-demanding programs that needed to be used on this machine, so for our purposes, it has been great. He will mainly use for taking notes, checking email, some photo editing, and watching videos (not video encoding/editing). For those things, the machine appears to work well.
Having said all that, I do have a concern for the RAM in the machine. Windows 10 is a memory hog, and these days, there are too many programs that eat up RAM. The minimum any Win10 PC should have is 8GB... and that's even a stretch. Ideally, you want at least 12GB if not 16GB to make your PC a bit more "future-proof".
I like the SSD and speed of the Book 12. Defragmenting is a snap, and it boots up rather quickly.
The all-encompassing case is built well and does its job. There is enough magnetivity in the connection point in the crease for the Book to stay in place and not fall apart. The prop on the back should probably be rethought out a little more. It tends to move and is not as stable as one would hope.
The keyboard is great. The keys feel like a compact laptop for the most part. The stylus doesn't make loud tapping sounds every time the device is lifted from the surface then re-applied. Those taps can be loud and annoying if used in class.
The price point (of around $1200) is too steep for what you get - the biggest issue being RAM. If the RAM was upped to around 12GB+, I'd be more at ease with value for the money paid. But 4GB on this model is pretty laughable. Win10 needs more - it demands more. There is an 8GB version with 256GB of SSD, but if you're offering that, just make that PC your base and get rid of this one. And then, lower the price on that machine because it's still running at minimum RAM thresholds and is not very "future proof".
Lastly, the screen. Beautiful doesn't do it justice. Incredible color and blacks. You won't see many displays better than this. This is what you may be paying for - that and the Samsung name... because this is still a PC, and PERFORMANCE is the driving force behind any computer. Hopefully going forward, Samsung and other manufacturers will remove anything less than 12GB RAM from these machines. No one wants to wait to open apps and run programs... RAM is the main contributor to those decreased running speeds.
Overall a good little machine. The USB-C ports (2) are great and good addition to the Samsung line since it has a faster charging rate, can transfer data faster, and can be flipped either way to plug in unlike the microUSB connector. I'd recommend this product to a friend, but only the 8GB RAM version of this PC.

Great for young new shaver

I have had these types of shavers in the past, and frankly, they don't last a long time (sharpness, that is). This one should last for years as it's for my new teen that have now shaved for the first time. He has nothing super coarse yet, but after using the shaver, you could really tell the difference in looks and smoothness of his skin. He has that thick dark peach fuzz over his upper lip. This shaver was sensitive enough to keep him at ease. He was worried about getting cut or it hurting at first, but this this razor did him right. Super smooth, and he thoroughly enjoyed shaving for the first time. He did not want to use in the shower, so we only performed the shave dry.
The only complaint we have is the charging mechanism - and the instructions state this as well, but I consider it a flaw, given what so many other electrical devices offer --- when the device is fully charged, the LED light does not go out on the wall charger. It just remains RED. There is also no LED icon(s) on the device itself to let the user know how much battery is left. There could be a small monochrome indicator or "something" that shows that the shaver needs to be recharged. How was that feature ignored?? Shaver was also easy to clean under the faucet water... Other than that, we had no problems. I'd recommend to other young shavers - typically, coarse hair needs more.

I would give it 4 out of 5. And the only reason I'd ding it is because it was heavy and not as maneuverable around corners (as compared to all the lighter weight Dyson products I'm used to) and because I wish it would do better at sucking up debris when it sucked up the water. It would tend to leave some debris behind (hair balls, wet fuzz, etc.). The debris would get caught up in the roller bristles (as it should), but then it would get wet and then sometimes land back on the carpet, and wouldn't always get sucked back up by the machine. It's not a big deal, because I plan to go over the carpets again with the vacuum, but I do wish the debris had been suctioned up a little better. It does do a good job at sucking up the dirty water.

Overall, I liked it and would recommend. I like that it's cleaning with heat, not just shampooing, so it offers more of an antibacterial effect. You're not dealing with a lot of suds and worrying that you're leaving a residue behind. It's similar to using the steam mop - it just seems to clean more efficiently than with a lot of soap products.

Good, but nowhere near great

DISCLOSURE: I used a Samsung Galaxy S7 smartphone to control the units.
This is my 3rd set of "mesh" network access points. Of the 3, this is the only set that has had 2 units. For my house, 3 is mandatory in order to cover the square footage.
SETUP was tedious as multiple resets occurred just to get these things paired up with bluetooth and each other. It was a process that appeared simple, but in the end, was far from it. There are definitely flaws with these units talking to the paired device with the app.
I'm more of an advanced user, and like others, I have nearly all of my devices as static IP addresses. This was a problem on many levels... I re-IP'd a few of them just for testing purposes, but afterwards, set them back. There just simply was not enough range to cover our entire home which consisted of 3 total floors (basement, main, upper). Probably around 6000+ sq-ft. Other manufacturers have done a better job at full system integration - Ally should get those products and follow suit. This was not a good experience, and again - 3 units may have helped, but setup was my biggest hangup with the product.

Just what the Revolve+ needed - charging made easy

The BOSE Revolve+ cradle is a great addition to an already great product. The packaging was small and simple. There was ONLY the cradle and instructions in the box. No cables. You must use an existing microUSB cable (also provided by the BOSE Revolve+ speaker).
The only confusing design was the bottom and how the cable comes out. The cable is going to bend regardless, due to the design… why? I don’t know. It seems like the charging port would be in the middle (but same depth) with an option to bend left, right, or keep straight. Scratching my head on that one.

Other than that, it works great and does its job. It gives the Revolve/Revolve+ a good base to sit on, and it appears to be “part” of the main unit when connected. The U-shaped insert insures that the unit is seated correctly in order to be in the charging state. The rubber bottom keeps the base from moving (as does the Revolve unit itself too).
Very nice touch, BOSE!

Great 360-degree sound

DISCLAIMER: In testing the device, I used a BT connection to a Samsung Galaxy S7.
This little BOSE Revolve+ Bluetooth (BT) speaker really packs a punch and provides sound from 360-degrees unlike most speakers. This is great for putting in the middle of a living room instead of having to put near a wall aiming outward at the room. Same goes for tailgating or ball park use - everyone can enjoy from all directions. The handle on the Revolve+ is also handy for carrying – a feature not on the smaller and regular Revolve unit. It is not an ideal-shaped item to carry without a handle.
OBSERVATIONS:
1. I received the unit with 30% power. It took 2.5 hours to get to 100% which was shown by the BOSE Connect app. Connection to the app was simple. Though there is no NFC symbol on the unit, if you have an android phone with NFC capabilities, you can touch the phone to the top of the unit (where the BOSE logo is), and the 2 will link automatically. Great feature.
2. Settings in the app are simple. One of the features I immediately turned off was the lady voice that spoke every time I performed an action. You can also have it power off the unit after x number of minutes or never.
3. Volume is 2-fold. You can control the volume via phone/device or via the unit/app. Whichever you use, it’s good to turn up the volume to 100% on the volume option you choose NOT to modify.
4. The app has semi-control of the song you are listening to, depending on the app you are using. If using Pandora, it will show the song details at the bottom of the BOSE app. There, you can slide up the details and select pause/play or forward/skip. However, using an app that BOSE is not familiar with will show “unknown” as the song, and you won’t be able to control it (say, the WinAmp app). I imagine it will work well with most current web-based audio services.
5. 2 inputs on the rear-bottom of the unit are 3.5mm jack for analog input and a micro-USB port for charging. If using the charging cradle, the charging cord will go into the base instead of the unit itself.
6. Phone calls can be made, however when I did get a call on the device that was connected to the Revolve+, the music stopped; however, I had to hit the mode button in order for the BOSE to take over the audio call connection. I could hit the mode button again to talk on the phone itself. After the phone call was over, the music continued to play.

I only have a JBL Charge speaker to compare it to, and the sound difference was worlds apart better in favor of the BOSE. It had decent bass along with the highs you would expect. A full spectrum of sound frequency was used and was very balanced overall.
The instruction booklet was mostly pictures and didn’t mention the AUX button on the top of the unit at all. I figured it out, but that’s something that was completely omitted from the instructions. Whichever you choose (BT or AUX), a small light beside each button will illuminate. A battery light will also light up next to the power button showing the estimated power remaining (>50% green) however the exact power is always shown on the BOSE app in 10% increments.
Overall, a great compact product that's portable, has a long battery life (~10 hrs), and sounds better than BOSE's other compact speaker systems in the Soundlink family.

Bring out the bass in your music with these Bluetooth-enabled Sony over-ear headphones. Good with minor flaws

Disclaimer: I used my new wireless BT headphones with a Samsung Galaxy S7 smartphone with adjustable graphic equalizer controls on the phone itself.
PROS
-- Extremely comfortable to wear. The soft ear cups don't press against the actual ear.
-- VERY easy pairing with NFC out of the box. It paired instantly. I hit play, and the music started playing.
-- The Sony headphones app was VERY cool. I could instantly 1. Set the level of "bass effect" with a slider bar. This level is remembered after the "bass effect" is turned off then on again. 2. Turn on/off noise cancelling 3. change the surround sound setting (Off, arena, concert hall, club, outdoor stage. 4. Shows battery level and model number. No other settings are available at this time though I'm hopeful the app will update over time to make it a little more compact.
-- The BASS. Yes, once the bass booster is turned on, you REALLY can feel hour head pound if you have that setting all the way up. I have the bass set around 70% and it sounds great at that level for me. However the amount of bass can be adjusted by the app so you don't go from no bass to too much bass. That is a GREAT feature to be able to control the bass level.
-- If your battery somehow dies, you can use the supplied 3.5mm male/male cord to plug into a device and still listen to your music. However, once you PLUG in, you lose ALL functionality of the headphones and app control. CONS
-- A little on the heavy (weight) side. If you bend over forwards or lean your head backwards, the part on top of your head is heavy enough that it will rotate due to gravity and try to fall off your head.
-- The complete spectrum of sound was not as complete as I would have hoped - mostly the highs.

-- A little on the heavy (weight) side. If you bend over forwards or lean your head backwards, the part on top of your head is heavy enough that it will rotate due to gravity and try to fall off your head.
-- The complete spectrum of sound was not as complete as I would have hoped - mostly the highs.

OTHER NOTES:
1. BT (bluetooth) vs Wired option - the BT does sound better IMO. If your battery dies or you just want to save your battery for later when you need wireless, you can hook up the provided cord and listen - but the quality is definitely better when using BT.
2. Whenever the "Bass Effect" button is pressed, perhaps Sony can offer up a FW update (is that possible for this product?) to be able to turn off the voice saying that it's being turned on or off. I literally HATE this feature is not optional. I don't need the voice telling me - I should be able to tell on my own since the feature should be doing what it's supposed to (either the bass is more or less - duh... or the NC (noise cancellation) is working or not).
3. Note in my picture close-up how the inside of the cup is laid out. The front part of the headphone is angled so that the sound actually is facing at an angle better to enter your ear. They do not interfere with the comfort of my ear and this puts the sound in your ear at a better angle.
4. A nice headphones pouch is provided and it has an additional area inside where you can put your 2 extra cables (audio cable & USB charging cable). Nice touch, however a hard or semi-hard case would be preferable to protect against damage if packed in a bag or suitcase. They cost $250 and should be protected by more than a soft pouch IMO.
5. When BT is active, keep in mind that when connected to a device, you have 2 volumes that you can control... it's best to turn up your "device" volume to 85-100% then adjust the volume of the headphones accordingly. When turning the volume of the headphones up/down, it does NOT control the device volume. It controls the volume of itself.

This may be a device feature for the Samsung Galaxy S7, but in order to use the mute/track-forward/backward buttons on the headphones, the app you are using has to be OPEN, not just running in the background. If you have Winamp, Pandora, or other audio program running, but you have another app showing on the screen or just your home page up, you won't be able to control those functions of the music. You can however operate the volume regardless of the app showing on the smartphone. If the app is active and screen is merely OFF, all functionality still works.
7. Regarding the weight again, if you lie down on a pillow, they stay put, but if you get up off that pillow, they may fall off unless you have a big melon. :) These things are definitely mean to be worn in the UPRIGHT position only.
8. Price point is about right when you add up the pros vs cons. Pros outweigh the cons IMO. I have not tested out the complete battery life because I can't keep them going for over 10 hours... however, with that amount of listening on a single charge, this is a very worthwhile purchase.
9. I listened to the same song on a pair of Sony MDR XB920 wired headphones that my son uses, and his pair do sound BETTER than these. There is a bit more clarity in the voice and high frequencies (drums/hi-hat cymbals).

Note that the Sony app is meant to be used with their newest headphones I believe. I'm not sure how the app works with the regular BT version of these headphones, but these Noise Cancelling BT versions had NO problem connecting to my phone at all. All connections were automatic after pairing up initially with NFC.

how does it sound with music on a computer?
Sound is good for gaming mainly. If you have bass sounds in a game, they sound very good. But if you're looking for bass sounds in music using this speaker, you'll probably want to go with a speaker system with a dedicated sub.

it keeps the footage until it starts looping and writes over it. That is, unless the file is protected by manually hitting the blue button on the back of the unit OR if a video is triggered due to GPS event (car is hit). It will also depend on how big of a microSD card you use and how much time is used driving. Many factors.

What is iRadar? How does it work
iRadar is just an app you put on your phone that works with this Cobra dashcam. Without the iRadar app running on your smartphone and bluetoothed to your unit, you won't get GPS data. So you have to turn on the app each time you drive if you want GPS data embedded on your videos. And even then, your MPH won't be on the video itself - it's only seen with the HD Dash Cam program you download from the Cobra website. I have a couple of screenshots on my review with GPS data and without GPS data.

Q80 should do everything the N850 did. Based on specs and my experience with the two, the changes from last year to this year are a name change and a couple of cosmetic changes (dark gray to black chasis, smaller Harmon Kardon label on top of bar, circular fabric over the subwoofer driver instead of cloth covering the entire side). Oh, and they now offer 1 more wifi audio service in addition to Tune-in. They offer Deezer too. Still no Pandora or Spotify via the Smartthings app unfortunately.

Will the lid hinge rest/scratch upon the surface when opening it?
It just opens/closes with no latch mechanism. It rests flat against the base but I don't see how it would scratch it.
