Works well, but not discrete or petite

Samsung knows how to make quality electronics. It also knows how to make good vacuum cleaners. I’m not quite sold on this one 100% though. The Bespoke brand suggests extremely high end finishes and innovation. Upon opening the box and assembling the unit, I felt no soft touch surfaces and a whole lot of plastic feel. That was disappointing because pictures and videos conveyed a different type product.
Assembly is super easy! All the pieces click together intuitively, and there isn’t much need for instructions. The filter and waste bag are already in place on the stand, and three extras are included in the box. I have read of difficulty in ordering those, so I’d suggest ordering well ahead of when you need them. The bags are tiny, keep that in mind.
The vacuum itself is quite heavy, but it packs a lot of power and ample attachments. It is not light and easy to use as a handheld. Other brands do this form factor better and a couple pounds lighter, but the pet hair attachment is FABULOUS. I wish the unit was lighter because it is superior at removing fur and fuzz from seating surfaces.
The led screen with a clear reading of how much longer the battery has left is a great feature. Anyone who has misjudged their cordless vac timing will appreciate that! It also tells the percentage of charge when the unit is docked and charging.
The dock reminds me of a slender trash bin, and it’s not covert. It’s a vacuum dock that looks like a trash receptacle and it’s large. I had a slimmer profile in mind. This not something tuck in a corner where no one will notice. It’s a big vacuum cleaner that happens to be black and sleek. I ended up putting ours in the data closet and using the outlet in there. I do not find it more convenient than a wall mount form factor.
The self cleaning function has worked every time I used it and docked the vacuum. Nothing to do but let it run! No dust to leak out or trap doors to fiddle with. It just works. One big drawback is that you cannot dock when it’s in handheld mode. I use that mode a lot, and it’s cumbersome to lug the whole heavy unit off the stand, remove the long floor attachment, and attach the handheld nozzle you want to use. Then when you’re done, remove the nozzle, reattach the long floor piece, then dock it.
Based on the suction, length of charge, self cleaning, and led info, I would recommend. But Samsung needs to really work on this form a bit more to shave off the weight and convenience.

Solution to no 120v in second car

One of our cars has a 120v outlet in the backseat. I used it all the time to keep my work laptop chugging along on our frequent seven hour road trips to see family. Then I got a new car. It never occurred to me to check that it had an outlet to handle the laptop. Oops.
Enter the world of adapters. I need a reliable 60 watts to charge the laptop. Most car USB-C adapters are 32 or 24. That’s a no-go for being able to keep me working through a trip. The higher wattage units are expensive. This one is not. I admit I don’t use the USB-A port, not because it doesn’t work. I just have no use for USB-A anymore. Everything has gone to C.
Including the cable is a nice touch, and makes it a one stop solution for my situation. Please note—this will not arbitrarily charge all laptops. Some need more power. You’ll need to know your requirements and test the adapter before you rely on it as a charging solution for your laptop model. It WILL charge tablets and smartphones with no trouble at all.
Build quality is high and feels substantial.

Versatile and under budget

Pop the cover off a regular outlet, and attached this whole unit with the provided screw. It’s not a slim, flush fit, but it gives you just what you need to make expand and modernize capability. 60 watt charging using one USB-C adapter or 30 watts each charging two devices. To me, it’s my earbuds and phone both quick charging without a bulky adapter taking up outlet space.
The rotating 120v outlets are priceless. Twist your elongated plugs outward and use four at once without covering up any other outlets. This unit takes up far less space than a strip form surge protector. It gets your plugs off the floor and directly into the wall.
I installed one by my usual seat in the living room and plan to purchase an identical one to go by my wife’s seat to get rid of the power strips. Now I have a lamp, access point, smart home device, and my laptop powered on the main outlets. And I have my mobile devices in the two USB-C slots. The little area on top of the unit is convenient for placement of a phone or other mobile device as an alternative to having cords snaking up to the side table or laying on the floor.

Spot on for health and activity

I have been wearing the Oura non-stop for a little over two weeks. I wanted to reserve my review until it had time to settle in with the monitoring. In that time, I have charged it twice. This is truly a one time every six days thing, and it takes about thirty minutes. The charger has a good weight to it and there is no mistaking how to seat the ring to charge. The charger and usb-c cable are included in the box.
The ring itself is beautiful and simple. It’s much lighter than I expected. It weighs less than my wedding ring, but it is substantial in size. Those not used to wearing rings will need to adjust to the feeling. I’m a ring person, so that was easy. Just know it sits a bit “away” from your finger, so your fingers on either side will definitely feel it.
The box includes the instruction to grab the app. Can’t do anything without that, obviously, because the device itself has no interface. The app is intuitive and helpful with insights and explanations whenever you need them. Setup is a breeze, just walk right through it.
The metrics measured include sleep, readiness, and activity. I found them all to be more accurate and detailed than my smartwatch. I love that Oura accurately detects workouts and even naps, then adjusts your readiness and other numbers accordingly.
Oxygen saturation, period prediction (using temperature), heart rate, heart rate variability, types of sleep, respiratory rate, movement during sleep, breathing interruptions during sleep—and there are many more—are some of the information you get each morning.
After two weeks, it starts giving you trends in the major areas to help see where you need improvement. Each morning it will let me know what to expect from the day and if I’ll need more breaks, etc than usual.
The one annoying thing is the subscription reminders. Oura is a service, and the full experience is only continued with a paid subscription. The reminders don’t tell you how much for some reason. It’s a very low cost, and I signed up, but I’d have signed up sooner if they had made the low cost more obvious.
This is an amazing device and a big leap for wearable tech. Definitely recommend.

Impressive performance and build quality

Chromebooks are not laptops. They exist solely in the Google ecosystem. They do not run Windows or Microsoft Office programs. For a user with a gmail account who uses Google Drive, Sheets, Docs, Play, etc. Chromebooks are an extremely economical productivity solution.
This little 14” Acer is great at being a Chromebook! It arrived fully charged out of the box. The charger is a USB-C adapter, and be certain you plug it into the right slot to charge. There is a charging bolt icon next to the C port that supplies power. Power it up, connect to Wi-Fi, follow prompts to sign into your existing gmail account or set up a new one. That is truly all there is to setup.
Your sign-in dictates what mail account, drive, docs are displayed. The chrome browser loads your profile and bookmarks according to that sign-in. You can access files saved to Drive from anywhere. Add apps to the Chromebook from Google play.
We are adults and use this for browser based activities like paying bills, planning trips, email, general online activities. The performance is quick and responsive, and the machine isn’t bogged down by all the processes and services found on “full” laptops.
The 314 feels substantial and solid, not heavy, but not plasticky. I’d love backlit keys, but for the price point everything is here. I was delighted with the feel of the trackpad! Super smooth and responsive. You can also use a wireless or Bluetooth mouse with it if needed, but I love the extra large trackpad.
Updates are automated. Charge lasts a long time—I have used it for about 7 hours total and have no need to charge yet.
Oh! The sleeve it comes with easily holds the unit itself and the charging cable in separate compartments. Easy storage and travel.
This is a recommended item! The price and quality make it a no brainer.

AMAZING! I can’t say enough

Anyone with kinky curls knows what a pain it is to get those things straight. In fact, it may be worth the money and trouble once or twice a year. Chemicals to straighten or that lovely burning hair smell from the flat iron (not to mention the cursing as you singe your scalp every so often) makes it much more trouble than it’s worth most of the time.
Needless to say I was extremely skeptical of the RevAir system. But we will try anything in search of easier straightening!
The box is HEAVY! Obviously not just a hair dryer in there. My wife took one look and said “whoa! It’s a little shop-vac for my hair!” And she’s right, it totally is. Everything is nicely packaged and the directions for assembly and operation are well written and easy to follow. Yes, I said written. Not just a bunch of pictures, but actual steps written out to follow. I found that refreshing and it cut down on any frustration misunderstanding what to do. Oh, and there are photos of an actual person instead of a cartoon. I appreciate that.
So once you have the little machine set up, hose and dryer attached, section your hair, choose your
settings, and follow the exact instructions to suck up one section at a time. My wife’s took 90 seconds per section on high heat with level 4 tension. All dry and straight in ten minutes. We were both gobsmacked. No burning smell at all. No scalp burns. Just beautifully straight and dry hair.

She’s in complete awe. She had friends over that evening and showed them all, claiming the RevAir her “new favorite thing”. We are having a straightening party with another curly-top later this week. In our forties. A hair party. Seriously.
I don’t know why it took so long for this innovation to make its way to us, but if you have curly or kinky hair—it’s worth it to try!!

I have used this Insignia silicone case with MagSafe for about five days on my iPhone 14 Pro. I had been using an OEM case of the same type since I got my phone last fall. This new case is significantly less expensive, so I expected it to be a bit inferior.
So far the only complaint I have is the lack of rigidity around the screen on the sides where the buttons are. I’ll address that first since it’s the only annoying issue. The perimeter of the case around the screen is nice and firm, no movement on the edges except the two inches on the left and one inch on the right where the buttons are. The case will peel right away from the phone if you pick it up or hold it at either of those points. It’s a small thing, but it is annoying for an otherwise very well made case.
As for the positives (all the rest of the product):
—The silicone does not attract lint! Give it a couple hours of use and no lint. This is a big deal with third party cases.
—The ridge around the screen is maybe half a millimeter thicker than OEM, which is fantastic because it completely and precisely covers the silver edge of the phone. That was a peeve of the other case, and makes me happy it is covered with this one.
—Button presses feel good and easy. No problem feeling the click when you need to.
—The lip around the camera is rigid enough to protect but does not protrude to much.
—MagSafe works perfectly for charging and mounting, which is great for a third party case.
—The inside of the case ills nicely lined to protect the phone.

I love WaterPiks. Ever since braces in sixth grade, I have found them thorough at cleaning my teeth and gums, far superior (and less painful) than flossing, and downright fun to use. So I thought a true cordless travel model would be a perfect solution to business trips where I normally have to revert to string floss.
The first thing I noticed was the unwieldy shape of this unit out of the box. Of course it has to be fairly large to hold the water needed to run it. But there are no contours to make it comfortable to hold and use. It’s like holding a seltzer can and trying to flip and turn it with high pressure water shooting out of it. And you definitely have to contort to use it because the head does not turn at all.
The pressure is great! I’ll give it that. My gums feel clean, that feature is true to the WaterPik brand. I do have to refill the reservoir at least once to get all the way through a cleaning, but in the name of portability, I think that’s just the nature of it.
The most troubling thing is the lack of any way to get the reservoir dry between uses. The slide feature is not easy to plunge up and down, so you’re likely to just leave it extended most of the time. There is a hatch on the side to fill the water. No matter how long I left the hatch open and out of use, there is still water remaining in the reservoir. I guess maybe I could rig a q-tip and try to blot it dry inside, but that negates the convenience. I searched for how to clean it and WaterPik offers no guidance except for cleaning the tips. A company representative finally answered by saying to remove the reservoir completely and pointed to a video for guidance. The video is a short trailer of the product and shows nothing about removing the reservoir. As far as I and the rest of the Internet can tell, that Ike’s impossible and would compromise or completely break the gasket that seals the reservoir. (See photos).
I will not be continuing use because I do not want to shoot mold and bacteria at high pressure into my gum line. I gave two stars because the pressure clean is classic WaterPik and maybe a lot of people don’t care so much about mildew in their mouths. But I’d say this is a fail and needs to go back to design.

Wired System with WiFi Connection

First thing to note: This is a completely wired system with WiFi connectivity for monitoring. The main camera is hard wired to your network (Ethernet cable) and power supply. The other three cameras are hard wired to the main camera for power. They connect over WiFi, yes, but there are wires to every one for power—and not just to individual power outlets, they all have to physically connect back to the main camera. The inconvenience of hiding wires is best handled by a pro installer if you care what it looks like, and by the time you spend money on that, you’re better off getting a truly wireless system for a couple hundred more bucks.
We used the system as an indoor monitoring system for an elderly relative who lives alone in her home. The main camera is in the living room where the router is, and we ran wires to the kitchen, hallway and bedroom for full coverage. We are able to see easily in bad lighting and daylight and set the sensitivity to ignore the cat, etc.
The app is great. It gives actual analytics if you like that kind of thing and is easy to monitor and playback. The video is kept on an old fashioned SD card.
I personally would recommend a truly wireless system over this one, but ease of setup and quality of app at the price point make it an okay choice if you don’t mind either hiring someone or running cables.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Easy and sized right!

As good as the “big” version! I have the adult version of this simple hover board and it’s easy, quick and fun. The kid sized is exactly the same level of quality, ease of use, and fun. My nephew plays ice hockey and is super fast—but not so balanced. I thought this would be a fun way to get him to focus on his center of gravity and strengthen the core muscles he needs on the ice. It helps that there are LED lights and “cool wheels”.
I was already familiar with the two wheel board form and the brand, so I knew how to tell him to step up and on. He was already outfitted in all his pads and helmet, so off we went. It’s doing exactly what I wanted it to do—forcing him to use his core strength to balance because he can’t move his legs to compensate. Of course, he doesn’t know that! He k it’s it’s fast (7mph) and he can ride it all over the neighborhood all afternoon without a charging break.
I’m impressed with the ease of use and sturdy construction for the price. I consider it very inexpensive and worth the money for the fun!

I work in construction and these are supposedly noise canceling, how good are they with the outside noise and wind?
Excellent noise cancelling. I was my car with the radio on full blast and could only hear the headphones.

Our old Oster will NOTopen plastic corks easily. We need a replacement opener what are our options?
I have this model, and it opened a plastic cork with no trouble at all just last night. Just be sure to use the included foil cutter first, and you're good to go!
