Simple interface that’s reception dependent

I like the idea of having Alexa work in the car. But she only works based on the strength of your cellular data. That’s fine, except when you are asking her to give you directions via Garmin. This is not a deal breaker for me, it was just an inconvenience on a few occasions.
I absolutely love how small this is and I wish here was a way to mount it to my motorcycle! It’s as simple as it gets. It reminds me of the onstar navigation system when it started out with GM. When connected with Bluetooth in the car it works well.
I mounted it by my rear view mirror and it makes it easier to run the wire and keep my eyes on the road.
I think this is an excellent first attempt to integrate a personal helper into a gps system and it’s pretty decent. Apple and google have not even attempted this yet and as with this you get all that amazon has to offer. It’s a fun and useful gadget. I highly recommend it and it’s priced right.

Good performance overall

When I got these, I had the chance to put them to the test immediately while I travelled. I have had a lot of head and earphones over the years and own several wireless Bluetooth sets. But this is the first time I have tried Bluetooth earphones that where separated.
The sound is good and not great. To me (personally) it nails it on the deep bass tones and the mods are pretty good too. The highs could be better. I’m comparing these to a set of Bose units I use that really hit the mark on all levels. For the same price range I’d expect the same or close sound.
But what they lose in sound they make up for in everything else. The carrying case is a bit heavy for its size but it is a charger for the earphones! It will also charge your phone if you want. That was very forward thinking by JLAB. You cannot comfortably put it in your pocket, but t packs nicely and charges your earphones fast. Super convenient.
But, by far my favor part of these earphones is how comfortable they are! They have various sizes of earbuds for you and I think there are like 6-7 sizes. They hook onto your ear and stay too. And they stay in place better than any earphones I have.
Bottom line they are a great option and come with a lot of extras. I recommend them to anyone.

All the TVs I have are Samsung and they are make a great product. I have a 50” 4K one that I have had for about 4 years and it’s awesome. I wanted a larger TV for my livingroom so I took a look at this 65” Hisense. I will tell you right off the bat I was a skeptic. With something like this you usually get what you pay for. Hisense is much more economically priced and for a 4K TV it’s a solid a deal. So you have to ask yourself “why?”
Let me say I’m not an expert in TVs by any means. I like what I like and I consider myself to be an educated consumer for sure.
One thing I learned when TV shopping is that aside from the vivid colors a TV can produce, you should look at just how black or dark the screen can get. The Hisense does pretty well. The difference between what my Samsung can do and what this Hisense can do comes down to stats produced by experts. I say this because if there is a difference then I don’t see it.
So the picture is great. But this is a Smart TV right? So I’m this aspect I was not totally impressed. It uses an Opera platform and the apps are somewhat limited. I am a cut the cord type of person and I stream everything. This includes live TV. I was shocked to see that there was no app for Hulu?! Even a $300-400 Roku TV will give you that, so that was a disappointment for me. No slingTV either.
The remote is very basic. No voice option, just a basic remote. It does work well and the layout is very natural and intuitive so that is a good thing.
All and all it’s a solid performer for the money. This kind of TV and size of TV is an investment. This is an option worth taking a look at. The streaming options work well with our internet that runs at about a 150-200 mbps speed and that’s what I wanted. It is attractive and looks nice displayed. Definitely on par with its competition. All and all it’s a great product, only limited by the Opera platform. I would still recommend it to a friend, but I’d also tell them to stick a Roku stick or Amazon fire stick in the TV for more options.

A blender is not a typical tool we use at our house, until now. We had a different brand blender that this one replaced as it gave up the ghost, and there is simply no comparison. The Ninja is like driving a Geo Metro one day and a BMW the next day. It’s is insane how powerful this thing is.
My wife is a serious cook and she makes things from scratch. So for instance, thick sauces and soups. The seriously thick stuff would slow down the old blender big time. The Ninja handles it like it’s water thin.
The 72 oz capacity is much larger than our old blender, which we were not sure we liked at first. It’s so tall and large, it almost doesn’t fit under our counter top. It’s big for sure and on the border of being too big for standard family use. But on the order hand, it can handle a lot. Specifically it allows you to make or blend a lot or basically make multiple servings. No need to blend a few tomatoes and then blend a few more. This will handle everything in one session.
I am not a blender expert or even a cook. My wife is the guru on that and I just receive the benefits of her talent. But I’m my observation of this product I feel it is superior in quality to the others we weighed it against. It locks down tight and seals well. It just feels more solid and seems to be made well.
It is well suited for a serious cook or even a health/fitness guru that uses a blender a lot. They do make smaller models, so look at all of them before you decide as this one is quite large. But it is amazing and we really like it. I definitely recommend it.

The One Blade is a solid all around work horse. By this I mean it is sort a hybrid between an electric shaver and a haircut style trimmer. It really suits my needs and I was really impressed with it right out is the box.
The blade itself cuts very close. Not as close as an electric shaver, but pretty close. It leaves you with the 5 o’clock shadow basically and not much more. That is with the blade alone. With the attachments you get a pretty even cut, but being that my facial hair is pretty curly I have to make several passes. This is typical for me so I am not surprised at that.
The one think I like the most about the shaver is that it is very forgiving. By that I mean you can put your finger against the moving blade and not get cut. That won’t happen with most hair trimmers that cut this close.
The only con I have is the stability of the head of the trimmer. By this I mean when you want a precision trim sometimes you want the head of the trimmer to be locked. I personally like this vice having it mobile. The One Blade moves ain’t will contour to your face or whatever part you are trimming. Unless you use the adapter you don’t get the locked blade effect. That said, it’s a minor personal preference and not a deal breaker by any means.
The battery life is awesome and the charging station works really well and doesn’t tip over. All and all a solid product and one worth the price for sure. I would recommend it for sure.

First off, yes the Cube will work without the Merge VR headset, but that is kind like buying a new car without tires. You can look through your phone and see the Cube, and even build a mindcraft style world, but with the VR headset it is twice as nice! It is way more interactive and fun for sure. I have been asked if it will work with other devices like Amazon tablets, and I don’t know because I have not tried it. It works well with IOS, and I am not sure about android since I don’t have anything android in the house.
It cites the fact that you can "hold a holographic object in the palm of your hand," and that is very accurate. It is really intuitive and the directions are easy to follow to get you started. After that, it is really fun to try the different VR, AR and mixed reality options for the different games and apps. Tons of re-playability.
The price point is really good for this item. $15, come on. You will waste that much on coffee this week!
This is really a product for kids in the "tween" range, but I have to say I enjoyed it as well.
There are a ton of free apps and games, more than I thought there would be. If you really want to get the full experience, add a Merge VR headset for about $60 and it takes things to the next level. I find the combination to be better than my PlayStation VR, with no cords to trip over either.
Definitely a good buy and I recommend it to anyone.

Affordable and Action Packed

First off, let me begin by saying it does not work well with older iPhones, which was disappointing since I researched it and it said it works with the iPhone SE. It did however work very well with my Son's iPhone 7 Plus. Once you adjust the vision on it to match your eyes, it was pretty impressive actually.
Comfort is a big plus for the Merge. It is like a soft foam rubber that not only molds around your eyes, it also blocks out things around you and is very comfortable. And with my wife being a clean freak, it is easy to clean off with just a wipe of some kind. Even better when you are sharing the Merge with others.
Price point is great and the value for the price is really good. We have the PlayStation VR, and it is cool, but you still have the cord with is annoying and frankly a trip hazard. This is definitely comparable, but considering the PS VR cost me $300 the Merge is a MUCH better deal.
Re-playability is pretty high for this device so far. I imagine that we will see more and more apps and games for it as it gets more popular, but the ones they have for it now are pretty decent. I actually like the selection better than the ones for the PSVR.
If you really want to add to the experience, add a Merge Cube to the mix and expand things to the next level. The experience literally can be in the palm of your hand.
I think this is the sort of "toy" that is best suited for someone that is around the "tween" age group, give or take a few years. Although I have to say I really enjoy using it as well.

Perfect Home Cloud Network

The Western Digital My Cloud is a pretty awesome way of creating your own personal cloud for your family. My wife is in school and I do a lot of papers for work and for other things. We can both access our files easily through our phone. It’s a great thing for shared documents or even pictures.
First off, it’s 4 TBs so that is a ton of storage. Each of us have laptops that have 500 GBs on them and now we have consolidated all our old photos to free up room on our personal computers. The drive is not even close to half way full.
Another function that I like actually the most is being able to save things on my phone and then I can directly upload them to my My Cloud via the app on my phone. If you really think about it, you literally are saving space on your phone and saving the docs in a secure location with ease. All those photos your friends send you or important family paperwork. All saved easily.
Installation is simple. I have Comcast like half the world it seems, and it was nearly plug and play. You have to establish a profile and log in, but the directions are very intuitive.
One thing that I have not tried and really need to try, is how you can back up data from external devices. I have a smaller external HD and I can connect it to the back of the WD My Cloud and move everything to the WD drive. That way I have things duplicated and have my family pictures at my disposal on my disposal.
This is my first venture into this level of home computer networking, and I think it is great for a novice like me. I highly recommend this to anyone that could benefit from having cloud access they can easily control and manage. Perfect for a family or even for kids in school with their studies.

Excellent product

First off.....wow. I upgraded to this blue ray player from a DVD player and it is night and day. I have a 4K TV it is connected to, and I really had no idea how much detail I was lacking in the picture until I used this player. I am not sure if you have tried a regular HDTV and compared it to the picture on a UHDTV, but when you make that jump it is like watching TV for the first time again. This is the same thing compared to the DVD player. I feel I am also getting better picture out of my regular DVDs now. It is very impressive.
So far, I have only used this player to play discs. I cannot comment on how it works via wifi, but I am sure it will be no different. I am just in the process of moving and don’t have my internet set up working yet.
I have to say I am not a big fan of the remote. The set up and layout on the remote is just fine. My issue is that at times it lags a little. Sort of like using a cheap universal remote if you know what I mean. Push button......look up......delay......then it responds. That said, it does not do it all the time. I just don’t like that.

Setup is super easy, it's literally plug and play. As I stated before, I have not tried the wifi options, but based on a review of that part of the setup it does not look that complicated. In fact it looks very simple as well.
So this little monster give you a lot of bang for your buck, and in my case it was a major upgrade. I'm super happy with it and highly recommend it to anyone.

Simple Healthier Alternative

There is very little to this product, and my this I mean it is simple to use clean and operate. It cooks fast, it works well, and if you can use less or no oil to cook something you are better off.
There are three aspects to using the Phillips Viva Series Air Fryer. First, you set the temperature. The manual has a list of what temp things need to be cooked at and it is accurate for what I was cooking. Secondly, you need to know how long you need to cook the item. This is the only tricky part. The list is not all inclusive, so for some ethnic foods (we eat a lot of Arabic food in my house) you have to guess a little. The good part is that you can pull the tray at anytime during the cooking and take a look at the food to see it's progress. This minimizes the chance of over cooking things.
Finally, there is the clean up. Most of the surfaces in the Air Fryer are coated so they clean well with a wet rag or a sponge and mild soap. It get the grease off very easily and it little effort.
So far I have only done the basic easy things the kids like in the Air Fryer. That being chicken nuggets and french fries. Both turned out awesome and the kids at them up. I did find that after you cook things they are harder to season afterwards. Specifically, I am talking about added salt to french fries. So, instead I decided to add the salt to the fries before adding them to the Air Fryer, so the salt sticks better to the fries when they are still somewhat wet from being frozen. This worked better for me.
All and all, as I mentioned before this could not be more easy to operate. As I mentioned with some of the food we eat, we had to guess a little but that is simple trial and error. The product works well, and it is awesome for those quick fix options when you just don't want to bake or cook something and you want things fast. We love our Air Fryer, and we will continue to put it to good use.

If your local store has it in stock. You will be able to tell that when you go through the online check out process and select the store you want to pick up at. Better chance at a larger store, like the ones that have a huge appliance section. Otherwise, you will have to wait for it to get to the store after you order. And it that case, it would probably better to ship it to your home.

What is the process for making a latte? Is there a separate reservoir for cream or milk and if so, can powdered creamer be used since it won't spoil?
The milk frother (shown in the photo on this site) is a separate device. It is a one serving at a time sort of think. Fill it, pour it, clean it, repeat. So no worry about spoiling or powdered anything. It actually works really well. I was really surprised.

can this accommodate 12 muffins pan?
No. Look at the product page for it on the website. At the bottom it shows the dimensions of the trays it uses. Off the top of my head, I think they are 13" wide. So maybe a half dozen size pan at the most, but definitely not a dozen.
