The HoMedics Ultrasonic humidifier is a whisper quiet humidifier in small stylish package. Being someone who lives in a climate that gets cold in the winter and having natural gas heat, a humidifier helps me combat dry skin. This unit is much easier to operate and maintain than my other humidifier, and with stylish good looks it doesn’t look out place. The unit comes with three essential oil pads and a demineralization cartridge that’s good for 30 to 40 filing’s depending on how hard the water is you use in it. I used filtered water without the cartridge and have not noticed any white particles on any surrounding furniture yet which is the purpose of the demineralization cartridge if you use hard water.
The units long slender profile makes it easy to fill the tank with filtered water from a refrigerator. With a tank capacity of 1.47 gallons the machine does not need to be filled often especially on the low setting. I filled mine about 65 percent full the first time and after two days of constant use it was still about 40 percent full. The front has touch controls for the settings and all the lights for the controls and display can be completely turned off. The direction of the mist is easily controlled by turning the piece on top where it comes out of. Overall, it’s a great addition to my household that will bring relief from colds, dry skin and more.

Once you see the vibrancy of an OLED screen it truly is hard to use anything without one. The colors and depth of colors are truly different on an OLED. The display comes wrapped in a stealthy dak grey/black aluminum body that’s only downfall is it’s a fingerprint magnet. The exterior has a bit of shine to it but the interior surface area is more of a matte finish. A first for me is what ASUS calls “ASUS antibacterial guard”, with 99% bacterial inhibition. They say it’s ISO 22196 tested and last 3+ years. As dirty as electronic devices can get I see this as nothing but a positive.
Besides a beautiful display you get specs that will make daily task easy. A Core i9 processor, 16gb of RAM upgradable to 24, integrated and dedicated graphics with Nvida RTX3050 and a 1TB SSD. The power button has an integrated fingerprint scanner for logging in without entering a password. Once setup, press the power button with the fingerprint you registered and the computer powers and opens up within 10 seconds. Port wise you have two USB C and one is a thunderbolt, two USB A, full-size HDMI, Ethernet port, headphone jack and an sd card reader. The camera has privacy filter which when closed shows an orange dot, I like this implementation as you definitely know the camera is truly off. When you first see it you think it’s a sticker but it’s not, it’s there permanently when it’s closed. All laptops should have this type of privacy for webcams.
ASUS I believe claims up to 10 hours of battery life but in my daily usage I feel this is optimistic. Maybe with all settings optimized for battery life and not performance, it’s possible. The My ASUS software would make that easy as it allows easy customization for settings such as this in an easy to access and understand area. I always take most pc laptop manufacturers battery claims with a grain of salt though. When on the go, you can charge it with the included barrel plug charger but also thru the USB-C/Thunderbolt ports also. If you need a laptop with good specs but want a beautiful display to match, this one should be on your short list.

APC has always been my go to when it comes to surge protection since being able to have nice electronics. I got my first battery back ups a few years ago and APC was the only choice I considered. This is now my third battery back ups and just like my other APC back ups I know it’s something I can count on when the power goes out. The unit has four surge outlets, four battery backup outlets and one data port. I would say my only complaint on this unit would be the outlet spacing. If using standard plugs, you won’t have an issue. But, if you have multiple items with larger plugs you potentially cut the amount of outlets you can use. The unit has a small lcd display with three buttons for power, info and a button to silence sounds.
When you want to make sure your expensive equipment is protected APC has you covered with surge protection. When you need to make sure it’s protected and you can safely shut it down and not loose your info, their battery back ups have you covered on both fronts. With a 3 year warranty and $250,000 equipment protection, it gives you peace of mind you really are protected.

Great heath and activity tracker

I try to stay in good shape and like to monitor my health and the Oura Ring gives me another option to go along with my watch. Once you receive your ring after using the Oura Ring sizing kit, the setup process is extremely easy and straightforward. That process is made simple due to the excellent app. The app walks you thru the whole setup process and if you’re using an iPhone it will integrate seamlessly with the Apple Health app. I’ve used enough third party products that claim integration into Apples ecosystem yet fall far short of what they claim. The Oura Ring app is not one of them as it truly delivers a first rate user experience. One of the best things about the app is even if you forget to start a work out, it will detect it and ask you later in the app so you can record that workout. If you’re cutting grass it will detect it as a workout and even has that as an option for your workout.
The ring itself feels very well made and durable. The stainless steel finish has held up exceptionally well in my two weeks of use against showing scratches. Battery life has been excellent, from recording workouts to wearing it to my track my sleep, I’ve found I get about 4 to 5 days of usage before I need to charge it. Charging from say 30% to a full charge takes about 45 minutes to an 1 hour with the included charger and a 5v power brick (not included).
The Oura Ring is a nice complement for health monitoring to my Apple Watch. I just started tracking my sleep this year and had been using my watch until I got this. The much longer battery life on the Oura Ring makes it much more ideal for that task and is more comfortable to wear to sleep than a watch. In my opinion this is easily a five star product except for one thing…the monthly subscription! I have a subscription for this a subscription for that, I don’t need another one and definitely not at $72 a year. If the fee was say $20 for a year, I wouldn’t mind it, and don’t think it would be a bad deal. You don’t have to have a subscription to still use the ring and app, but you just get less health information without it. If a monthly subscription doesn’t bother you, the Oura Ring is an excellent and nice looking health tracker.

The Insignia Apple Watch nylon band is a nice alternative to the OEM Apple Watch bands. The band feels nice and is very comfortable when wearing it. The color of the metal pieces match perfectly to Apple Watch ultra housing. The nylon band is a dark blue that in some light looks black. Though this band works with other Apple Watch models it definitely looks best on the ultra, mainly because the ultra is a little wider and the lines flow better.
The one shortfall of this band is the fact the two pieces don’t have a piece that keeps them together. This is really only an issue when putting the watch on and if you have larger hands. Once you have the band on its stays put and is very comfortable to wear. I like having multiple bands for my Apple Watch and though I like the Apple Watch bands, they definitely aren’t cheap. This Insignia platinum nylon band is a a great alternative at a much more affordable price. If you want something that looks like it’s an OEM band without the price this is a great option.

The Insignia silicone case is a great alternative to the OEM cases manufactures sell at a premium price. For a fraction of the price you get a case that feels just as high quality (if not a little better to me) as the ones costing twice as much. I like the grippy feeling silicone cases provide over leather cases, but don’t like the feel of most silicone cases. This Insignia case doesn’t have that feeling to me for some reason, unlike other silicone cases I’ve tried it feels nice in the hand.
Protection wise it’s what you would expect from a non hard shell case or a bulky one. I don’t like big bulky cases even though they may provide more protection. If you don’t use a glass screen protector the case will have a slight pronounced lip to protect the screen should it fall on its face. If you do use a glass screen protector it will be almost flush with that lip. If you’re looking for a high quality case and one that doesn’t break the bank, Insignia has you covered with a case that is just as high quality as an OEM case.

Got this case for my girlfriend and she absolutely loves it. We usually use Apples silicon or leather cases, but wanted to try something else and was really surprised how good the Insignia case was. For the price and the fact this case has a design imprinted on it the case is a bargain. She usually uses the silicone cases because they give her more grip. She was surprised the hard shell case didn’t feel slippery as that was a concern of hers since she has smaller hands.
Protection wise the phone snaps into the case and that makes it less likely the phone will come out if it’s dropped. The case also has a nice lip that will protect the screen should it be dropped on its face. We use glass screen protectors and with them on, the screen protector sits almost perfectly flush with the lip of the case. I have many items from the Insignia brand and they’ve all been a quality product at a bargain price and this phone case is no different. If you want a quality case to protect your iPhone or whatever brand and don’t want to pay a high price, the Insignia brand delivers OEM quality at a fraction of the price.

The Canon MF654Cdw is a fast all in one laser printer that provides excellent image quality. If you have have a home office you know the value of a good printer, especially a good laser printer. My girlfriend is a realtor and uses a printer constantly so a good printer is a must have for us. Setting the machine up for wireless printing is simple, but if want to scan and have it wirelessly send it to the computer you have to download the drivers from Canon’s website. This is straightforward and takes only a few minutes to install and the drivers allow you to control more of the functions of the printer from the computer.
The printer has AirPrint built in so you can easily print from any of your Apple products easily. The machine also has specific standalone settings for copying an ID or passport. The automatic two sided printing is something that saves a tremendous amount of time when you have a lot of stuff to print. Not sure how many people still need this, but it also has the ability to print from a usb drive. The one thing that could be improved is the touch screen interface, sometimes it can be a little to sensitive to the touch and you select something you didn’t mean to. The MF654Cdw is an overall great laser printer for a small home office that needs to print in color and black and white.

The Philips Norelco All-in-One Trimmer 9000 allows you to cover all your bases with personal grooming with one device. The device itself has a nice heft and feels very well made. It comes with a carrying case that makes it easy to bring it along with you, that also holds all its accessories. It includes a charging cable that can be used with any usb a charging brick, a charging brick is the only thing not included. This is something that more and more manufacturers of all types of devices are doing to be more environmentally friendly and honestly doesn’t bother me as I think everyone has no shortage of charging bricks.
Using the device it’s super quiet, I would say one of the quietest shavers I’ve used. The different heads are easy to pop on and off, you simply pull up and they come right off. The ear and nose trimmer is attachment is so much better than the stand alone nose and ear trimmers you can buy. It just seems like it does a much better job than those do. The only attachment that it doesn’t have is an eyebrow trimmer. Every shaver I have is Phillips and they have been great, the 9000 is now my favorite next to my Phillips OneBlade.

Suffering body aches and pain sucks, suffering body aches and pain sucks more when the pain is hard to get and no one is around! There’s certain devices that when you use one your like why didn’t I think of that and this is one! I’ve suffered like many people from back pain in different areas for years. I’ve used and have percussive devices and absolutely love them, but they have their limits such as when you need deep tissue relief. So when I need that kind of relief I ask my girlfriend, but unfortunately she has limited hand strength to really do but so much. Unfortunately for me I developed a pain between my shoulder blades a few years ago that comes on from time to time and is hard for me to get when no one is around. This device is literally for me like having an extra hand wherever I go!
The device is robust, simple and very easy to use. Attaching the device to a wall or other compatible surface is easy and straightforward. Just separate the two parts with the lever, suction cup the base to the surface, reattach the top and you’re ready to go. This is such a simple device that can bring pain relief when no one else is around and you can’t get it yourself. To me this is a no brainer if you suffer from pain, which lets be honest, we all do!

Googles first attempt at their own phone (software/ hardware developed by Google) is a solid homerun, even though it has a few shortcomings!
The hardware; at least to me is absolutely beautiful and on par with any of the top cellphone manufacturers out there. The software; is so smooth and buttery, there literally is no lag! It reminds me of iOS in the early days. The screen at 5 inches is a sweet spot, though I love bigger screens, it's a nice comprise especially if you want a big screen but dont have big hands.
If you are a died in the wool Android person, this phone is an excellent choice when considering a new phone. The price could be a shortcoming for some, and the lack of headphones baffles me especially when you're competing with the big manufacturers. 32 gb may not seem like a lot of storage these days, but Google gives you unlimited photo and video cloud storage for all taken on the Pixel.
Google should be very proud of this phone and anyone should put it on their short list when searching for a phone.

I understand and know there has been Nexus devices for years that run stock android. But all reports from plenty of sources ( The Verge, Andriod Central, Droid Life and so on) have indicated that the Pixel is the FIRST phone where Google designed the hardware and software to work together like Apple does with the iPhone. Even though HTC made the hardware.

I got my first Bluetooth headphones 2 years ago with the Beats solo2 headset. As much as I liked them having the wire between the two could still be a pain at times depending on what you're doing. The new AirPods are phenomenal from the sound quality, ease of use and just the general quality. These are my new go to headphones, I love the fact I can just use one at a time if I want and the fact the case is a battery also so it charges them when you place them in the case. Worth every cent!

Until Apple fixes the issue with these disconnecting from calls while using a 6s and 6s plus avoid these. I'm on my second pair and they both would randomly disconnect while talking.

Without the monitoring the system with simply make the alarm sound from the base station or siren if you add that. To control it with the phone it requires the 24.95 a month plan.

Yes, when setting it to home only the door and window sensors will be aramed. Unless you change that in the settings to where the motion sensors are armed when choosing home mode.

I am trying to decide if I should buy a Xbox 360 or a Playstation 3? I wanted to know the differences between them
I have both and barely play the ps3. The differences between the two are, The ps3 has built in wifi, has the ability to browse the web, bluray, and online is free. 360- you have to pay for xbox live gold membership(silver membership is free) it is worth it though. The 360 has a much better controller, after a while the ps3 controller buttons start to stick. The 360 has better exclusives ( though there are some potentially good ones coming to the ps3).Xbox live marketplace is second to none, netflix tons of arcade games and just all around more fun.

I have the Samsung LN52A650 and love it. It has been rated one of the top LCDs on the market by a number of outlets, It has all the features you want and then some.
