The JVU430 USB™ 4K Ultra HD Webcam is a new Ultra HD webcam that is Chrome OS, Mac and PC compatible. As with all the J5 products I own this is great looking and well designed. The monitor attachment is stable and includes a tripod mount point. The cam has a 360 degree swivel with tilt adjustment allowing you to position the camera at any angle. There is a well designed security lens cover that is not an afterthought. The folks at J5create have even included a USB C to USB A adapter that is attached to the cord. This gives you compatibility for many devices.
As for the image it is great due to the 4k 8mp sensor and F/2.0 aperture lens with 94° diagonal field of view and with up to 60 FPS even in a low-light
The wide 94 degree field of view with 2x zoom allows pan with the Webcam Companion App. The app also gives you the ability to adjust brightness, exposure, saturation and contrast. The compainion app is avalible for download from the J5create website. They do provide a QR code on the documentation but if you have no webcam to start with you will have to go to the site to download.
The sound capture is very good due to the dual microphones, My chat sessions on all apps was great according to the other participants.
If you need a great webcam compatible with most devices J5 create has produced a winner! Highly recommended.

Fast and affordable desktop scanner

The Cannon R40 scanner is a stand alone desktop scanner. It is compact and fits nicely on your desk without taking up too much room. This scanner is fast at 30 ppm. It can scan both sides at that speed making it effectively 60 ppm.

The bundled software includes a TWAIN Driver, Canon CaptureOnTouch for both Windows and Mac. In addition Readiris PDF Software and Cardiris business card software is included for Windows only. The CannonOnTough has a dizzing array of options including auto color, auto page size, deskew, auto rotation, charater empasis and background smoothing. The scanner can aslo detect the best resolution, enhance color skip blank pages, reduce Moiré, fill irregular edges and holes. There is even ultrasonic double feed detection. The more options you enable the slower the scan. If you have a fast CPU this is much less noticable. The Twain driver allow you to use many third party scanning solutions.The driver supports Windows 7 SP1 or later (32bit/64bit), Windows 8.1 (32bit/64bit), Windows 10 (32/64-bit), MacOS 10.12, MacOS 10.13, MacOS 10.14 and MacOS 10.15
My impression is this scanner is fast and the software comprehensive. The software has a lot of functions but is not very intuitive. I was quickly able to turn a large stack of papers that had been sitting on my desk for about a year into searchable PDF documents. I had no jams at all and the text was enhanced and pages rotated. The software allows direct storage to cloud services like google drive or your local drive. This is a great scanner at an affordable price.

Small but powerful Air purifier

The PureZone Hepa air filter with UV-C protects you from virus and bacteria and cleans your room air of particulates and odors. The filter has a timer for 2, 4 or 8 hours of operation or you can run it continuously. The fan is nearly silent on low or medium. It is moderately loud on high. You can turn the UV on or off if you want. There is literally no setup besides removing the bag around the device and another around the Carbon/Hepa filter, plugging it in and turning it on.
How does it work? Well I trialed the air filter during my stay at an in-laws who has a dog with some odor and pollen in the house due to a virtual oak forest around it. I usually have sneezing attacks and headaches every time I stay there. I ran the filter on high for a few hours to clear the air in the room then left it on medium. To my surprise the air filter removed the dog odor and I had no sneezing or headaches!
There is a combined single filter with activated carbon layer and a Hepa filter which is easily replaced. The UV lamp can also be replaced easily.
This small stylish filter is great for a bedroom or office room. If you want to say good bye to your allergies I highly recommend the PureZone.

Good Color, with eye strain protection

The HP 27f monitor is a basic 1080p gaming and general use monitor. The color reproduction is great and with the Eyesafe blue light reduction it can reduce eyestrain. Eyesafe does not affect color accuracy. The monitor can support 75hz at 1080p (1920 x 1080) with wide viewing angles. The Freesync support with low input lag makes it great for gaming. This monitors gaming use is limited by it’s resolution. Inputs are HDMI x 2 and VGA.
The monitor is good looking and very thin due to the separate power supply brick. The stand is basic, a little wobbly with tilt only. Kudos are due Hp they made this monitor Eco friendly by using 85 percent recycled plastic and the packaging is 100 percent recycled.
My feelings about this monitor are mixed. Great color, viewing angles and low input lag but limited resolution abet at 75hz max. This puts this monitor squarely in a budget gaming category or mixed work and gaming. Freesync will only work if you have an AMD card with Freesync support. Nvidia cards will only support Freesync over Display port. (There is some news that Nvidia has enabled Gsync over HDMI on monitors that have a firmware update to support it but I was not able to get it working with this monitor). If you have an Xbox it has an AMD graphics chip and will support Freesync. If you are looking for high resolution look elsewhere.

Great MFC Printer for Small office

The HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e is a new small businesses or home office inkjet MFC printer with an ADF, Fax, Scanner and Copying built in. This printer comes with HP+ HP's smart printing system that comes with 6 months of free Instant Ink and a 2 year extended HP warranty. The printer uses 4 cartridges (1 each: cyan, magenta, yellow, black) Hp has made this more affordable with HP+ and Instant Ink subscriptions you can print high volumes at an affordable price and get the first 6 months free! I have instant Ink on my other HP printer and have never run out of ink or gone over quota. I was skeptical when I first tried it out but it has been a big cost saver and very convenient with the ink delivered by mail to me when the printer reports to HP you are getting low. I immediately signed up for Instant Ink on this Printer.
Installation is easy just download the full App/Driver from HP and install on your computer. Connection is easy, you can use Ethernet, USB or a WiFi connection. You can set up an account and choose to buy ink on you own or to subscribe to the Instant Ink program. The App works well with well designed apps for scanning, faxing, copying. One thing to note there are no drivers for Windows Server 2012, 2016 or 2019 so you cant just set it up in you print server and connect to it from each office computer. You will either have to install the driver for each windows or mac workstation and use Windows or IOS apps for Scanning and Faxing or install the HP app to use their native apps and advanced features. You can just install the full App driver package from the HP download site on each computer. In an office where you need most computers to print you can install just the drivers and reserve the app installation for just the computers that need to do scanning, faxing ect. I really don’t like that HP does not have server drivers or at least a driver deployment script. If you are using this for a small office that does not use a server or a home office it is just fine. Once I had the drivers set up on all 12 computers in my office everything worked fine. You can configure the printer for remote printing through an email address and printing directly from an Iphone, Ipad or Android mobile device with the Hp printing app available in the Apple Appstore or Google Play store. Apple AirPrint, HP ePrint, Mopria Print Service, wireless direct printing are supported. You can also print from a USB drive.
The fax is has been well thought out and has settings for POTS, VOIP or SIP phone lines! This is very useful as a lot of homes and businesses use digital phone service making standard hard fax almost impossible to use. This allows you to have a Fax without a fax service. HP includes Fax forwarding to email and storage to network devices. This device allows you to send color fax to compatible devices.
Supported Resolutions are 200 x 200 dpi, 203 x 196 dpi, 203 x 98 dpi, 300 x 300 dpi. Fax storage is good with total memory capacity of100 pages. You can set up the printer to fax directly from a PC.

Scanning has always been great with HP devices and this unit is no different. You can use the HP app or Native Windows or Apple App or other scanning software with no issues. Scans are fast and great resolution. You can scan from the ADF or scanner bed. Ouput can be cropped or enhaced in the Hp app and output in many formats including PDF.
Color copying is great, as with most ink jets the output is beautiful. Maximum copying speed is 21 ppm (mono) at up to 600 x 600 dpi (mono) and 15 ppm (color) at up to 600 x 600 dpi (color). Duplexing is available. Scaling range is 25% to 400% of original. You can copy up to 99 pages at a time.
So the print output is great up to 1200 x 1200 dpi mono and up to 4800 x 1200 dpi color at 22 ppm mono or 18 ppm color. Automatic Duplexing is supported. Inkjet output is much better than color laser in my opinion.

Clean up those messy wall chargers

The Leviton - 6A/30WT USB DUAL WALL CHARGER will clean up you charger clutter giving you a much cleaner look. You can charge 2 USB C devices at 5V at 3A (15W), or one device at 9V at 3A (27W) or 15V at 2A (30W) fast charge specification. The unit also supplies two 120 volt grounded receptacles. If you want to plug a charger into the receptacles you might need an extension as they can block the USB C ports if it is large. Hopefully all your devices use USB C! You can also use an USB C to USB A adapter for devices that need USB A.
Installation is a snap. TURN OFF THE POWER to the old receptacle. Remove the wall plate and the old receptacle, place the wires as noted on the receptacle and instructions. Put all the screws back and screw the wall plate on, that's it! You will need to replace the receptacle plate with one that has the rectangular opening if you have the old style oval opening plate. Fyi plates come in different widths so choose the one that matches your existing plate.
This plug also has over current protection to protect your devices and the outlets are taper resistant to prevent little kiddos from inserting things in them!
I really like these outlets, there are others on the market but with electicity and my expensive devices I trust Leviton a well know name in electronic outlets and other devices.

Clean Air The Nose Knows!

The Blueair Classic 605 Air purifier is a great unit with good looks and great function. The Air filter is quiet on low and medium settings and only a little loud on high. You will normally use this unit on the medium setting unless you are trying to clear out some pollutant or odor. Use the low setting to allow some filtering with nearly silent operation.
The almond shape with cut off ends is good looking and the white color with black accents give it a very clean look.
The filter replacement is a snap, no complicated disassembly just lift off the top grate remove the 3 filters and replace. The unit accepts two types of filters, a HEPA only filter and a Dual Carbon/HEPA filter. I opted for the second. The DualProtection is about twice as much as a Standard Particle filter for a 3 filter pack. You can save more by buying a filter subscription from Blueair. If you get a filter subscription you currently also extend your warranty to for as long as you continue it. Recommended replacement schedule is every 6 months, this can vary based on your environment
Basic control can be done from the buttons on the top of the filter itself. For advanced control you must use the Blueair IOS or Android App. With the App you can set Schedules, control the Led brightness and control the fan speed. The app also gives you the outdoor air quality in your area. If you have a Blueair Aware indoor monitor you can link that to the app to monitor your indoor quality as well. I was unable to get my unit paired to the Android app but the IOS app paired the app without difficulty. I have a VPN on my Android phone and do not want to disable this as well as mesh networking that forces the phone to the 5ghz connection. The Blueair app requires no VPN active and a 2.4ghz network to connect like most IOT devices. I had to set up a second router to connect the device. This is a problem with many IOT and Mesh systems and I brought it to the attention of Blueair as well as the Mesh networking developers, they were both very responsive and are working on this. I have no doubt a solution will be found. Regular routers allow the 5ghz and 2.4 ghz bands to have different SSID’s, most Mesh routers do not. Some mesh routers have a troubleshooting mode that disables the 5ghz for just this purpose. Regardless of this after the air filter was paired with my "network" it has worked flawlessly. I can monitor and control it from anywhere.
Standard warranty is 1 year, Blueair gives you an extended 5 year warranty if you register your air purifier on the web or through the mobile app.

In addition the air is being filtered for odors and particulates including Virus and bacteria. I feel this has made my office space safer for me and my employees.

Gaming Laptop performance without $$$

The Asus Tuf Dash F15 is a great gaming laptop with it's i7 Intel's new 11th Gen H-Series Tiger Lake CPUs. processor, 144hz display and NVidia 3070 it has the chops to give you a great gaming experience. With these tweaks I was still able to play all of the latest games at 60fps or above on max settings at 1920x1080. I could get into the 80fps range by decreasing the graphics settings to high. You will have to adjust some settings to get the best frame rates with ray tracing turned on. The four core Tiger lake i7 preforms well in single core tests which most games use. The multicore performance is lower due to it only having 4 cores. As more games use multicore this could impact gameplay.
The laptop will probably need a firmware update and a little tweaking to get the best performance. As with many gaming laptops the manufactures and video chip manufactures actively update drivers and firmware to give users the best performance. Just go through the Windows install, register the laptop with Asus and run windows update. If you install MyAsus you will get live updates. You can also update the bios from the Asus support site. The next thing you should do is install the latest NVidia game ready drivers directly from NVidia or by using Nvidia experience app. With those done the gaming performance is good. If you really want to get the best performance you will need to install MSI afterburner to overclock the Video memory and Video chip. With only a mild overclock the performance can be increased dramatically due to the great cooling on this laptop the temps stay stable and in a safe range. The fans are quiet even at higher speeds. Surprisingly the laptop case does not get as hot even with the 80 W Nvidia 3060 overclocked due to the heat management and the choice of plastic for the bottom case and deck. The top is metal with a TUF logo which I think looks great. I also wanted to note that the 3060 mobile in my unit does not appear to be a MaxQ model the available 3070 has been reported to be MaxQ although I can not confirm that. That will allow the brave to push it a little more!
The laptop has a backlit keyboard with the ASDW keys inverted light key with a dark letter compared to the rest of the keyboard with dark keys and light letters. I really like this lighting, it is bright enough for lit rooms but not too bright in dark rooms. the game navigation keys are easy to locate due to the lighting. The key travel is good and and has a firm feel with good actuation pressure, and good spacing; they feel really good for gaming. The touchpad is responsive and large enough for gameplay but I prefer a mouse for the best gaming experience.
The 144 Hz panel was a good choice to keep the cost down, there are other configurations of this model with a 240hz display at a higher cost. Monitor testing revealed no significant ghosting and had good color to my eye. I have listed the actual panel used on my laptop it is IPS full HD.
Connectivity is good with HDMI 2.0b output for an external display, a full-sized Ethernet port, one USB-C, three USB-3.2 Type-A ports and a combined headphone and microphone jack. The USB c is thunderbolt4 and PD charging enabled. One glaring device is missing! No webcam. I am not sure why Asus choose not to include a Webcam, Maybe they though that gamers don't need one? Maybe privacy? You can easily add one if needed.
I really think Asus has hit a sweet spot here with this Gaming laptop, made good choices to keep the cost down while delivering a great gaming experience. Can you buy better? Sure but get your pocketbook out! I think most of us will be very happy with this unit.

The key travel is good and and has a firm feel with good actuation pressure, and good spacing; they feel really good for gaming. The touchpad is responsive and large enough for gameplay but I prefer a mouse for the best gaming experience.
The 144 Hz panel was a good choice to keep the cost down, there are other configurations of this model with a 240hz display at a higher cost. Monitor testing revealed no significant ghosting and had good color to my eye. I have listed the actual panel used on my laptop it is IPS full HD.
Connectivity is good with HDMI 2.0b output for an external display, a full-sized Ethernet port, one USB-C, three USB-3.2 Type-A ports and a combined headphone and microphone jack. The USB c is thunderbolt4 and PD charging enabled. One glaring device is missing! No webcam. I am not sure why Asus choose not to include a Webcam, Maybe they though that gamers don't need one? Maybe privacy? You can easily add one if needed.
I really think Asus has hit a sweet spot here with this Gaming laptop, made good choices to keep the cost down while delivering a great gaming experience. Can you buy better? Sure but get your pocketbook out! I think most of us will be very happy with this unit.

The Epson RapidRecipt RR-600W is a full duplex recipt scanner.
Epson includes Epson Smart scan software that can scan, file, OCR, and export captured images and OCR data to many financial software including Quickbooks, Quicken, Turbotax, Excel and CSV files. You can also use the included Kofax PowerPDF software to edit and convert any scanned file to PDF and then edit it or export it to Word or Excel. The PowerPDF software is powerful in itself with many editing and conversion features for all the PDF’s you already have you can even make the scanned PDF searchable.
You can scan up to 100 pages at a time using the automatic document feeder. The feeder will accommodate paper up to 8.5 inches wide and up to 240 inches long! The scanner has automatic cropping, blank page deletion, background removal, dirt detection, paper skew correction and staple protection. The scanner will work with windows 7,8 and 10 as well as Mac OS X 10.11 to 10.15.

This Compact (11.6" x 6.7" x 6.6") desk scanner is fast rated at 30ppm and can scan both sides at the same time. The scanner weighs in at 8.2 lb.
The Smart scan software will suggest file names based on text it finds in the documents you scan saving time when scanning a lot of documents. Using the invoice manager you can Scan, review, combine, duplicate, OCR and Edit and Export your scanned receipts. The receipt management software is free to use with no cost or subscription fees.
As for connectivity this scanner is wireless and will connect to 2.4 and 5 GHZ wireless routers or access points meaning you have no wires and can place it almost anywhere. It does have USB 3.0 connectivity if no wireless is available. In fact you don’t even need a computer, you can scan documents directly to a USB stick using the large 4.3 inch LCD control panel to control the scanner. You can also scan to cloud storage like Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox or Evernote. If you don't like Epson's bundled scanning software use your own it is easy with the included Twain driver.
Epson has made a solid product. The software is really good although they have relied on third parties this is better in that it allows you to use all your scanning devices and there is no limitation on connectivity. You are also not tied to Epson only software but rather using companies who do OCR, PDF and Business card scanning well.
The Scanner was easy and fast to set up, The software and drivers installed and updated without any problems. I was up and scanning in about 10 minutes. My wife thanks Epson for helping me remove piles of documents, receipts, printed instruction manuals and various other paper documents from my cluttered office! If you need a way to convert your piles of paper into digital documents that are even editable and searchable or track your receipts for tax or budgeting this is a great tool to have.

First the Listing is not what you get! I don’t know if they decided to upgrade the units or the marketing team at Bella changed their mind but the box says this is a 9-in-1 Air pro XL grill. The 9 functions are Roast, Bake, Air Fry Convection, Grill, Broil, Sauté, Sear, Pizza, Dehydrate.
The Bella unit is well constructed and looks great black with chrome accents. The unit is large and will need an open counter or at least high cabinets above your counters because this unit opens up unlike other air fryers with a pull-out cooking tray. I really like the way this unit opens up but make sure it will fit your space.
The cooking pot is actually 9 qt, the 5.8 qt refers to the air fryer basket. This unit really lives up to it’s XL labeling! You can Cook a Large Chicken or a Small Turkey, A full Roast, Prime Rib, Even a Rack of Lamb. If you like Grilling during the winter or don’t have a home or live in an apartment that can not accommodate or allow conventional grilling this unit can grill a Steak on the provided grilling plate with no smoke in addition both sides will cook evenly due to the upper and lower heating elements and “circular heating technology” Convection heating up to 510F. With the Baking rack you can bake a Cake, Cup cakes or even cookies. The accessories except the baking rack are ceramic coated and all are dishwasher safe and PFOA / BPA free.
So how does this thing cook you say? Great!! The Pork roast with red potatoes and onions I made cooked evenly and remained moist. No turning needed. It was the best I ever made. French fries come out crispy if you use store bought or spay them with some oil if cut from fresh. Grilling is just a good, great marks, evenly cooked and moist. Did I mention you can make a pizza in this thing! And Wings! Woohoo football party here we come.
There are so many more ways to us this multi cooker so unleash your inner gourmet cook and enjoy. I really like this unit… my new favorite cooking appliance.

Yes up to 32 mb, You have to be careful with module selection to achieve the top speed. There are two slots. Apparently according to other online reviews come with 2 4gb modules but others like mine came with 1 8gb module. You have to get the correct voltage and density modules to achieve 3200mhz otherwise the laptop will downclock them.

can i go to the stores to buy HP ink?
Yes, HP ink is available at many retailers. I personally use the Instant Ink program. If you print on a regular basis it is a great deal. My ink costs have gone way down and I never run out!

Yes you just need to install a dual outlet valve, they are available at many home supplies. I would suggest a valve that attaches to the existing one. If you replace the existing valve it is more involved you will need to turn off the home water supply, unscrew or desolder the old valve and put a new one on.

Can a designated counter mounted faucet be used with this filter?
Yes, you just have to install a split feed adapter to your water supply one will go to the faucet and one to the filter. The out of the filter goes to you separate faucet. You will have to purchase the splitter separately, there are several types just make sure the one you choose does not restrict flow in any way.
