I have been using the Linksys E2500 for nearly four years now and YES, it will work thru more than two walls. In one case for me it was sending signal thru about 4 walls. So I guess it may depend on how thick or what material your walls are made of. For me, they were standard 3.5 inch wood studs with sheetrock both sides. .6 years, 11 months ago

This product does not need a plan to operate. A router is a local device that manages your local network(computers in your house). The modem receives the signal from your ISP and sends it to your router which in turn sends it to your computer(s) based on how you have setup the settings in the router.7 years, 1 month ago

I would suggest checking with your ISP regarding the amount of bandwidth you're currently receiving based upon Netflix's optimal performance requirements. Then I would explore the possibilitiy of purchasing an extended range wifi router if needed. Good luck!!
