Acer Nitro has All the Juice!
on August 15, 2022
Posted by: ElectronicJunkie
The Acer Nitro 5 Gaming Laptop is a sub $1000 gaming laptop that performs much better than expected and the 17.3", 144Hz, 3ms response time HD IPS screen is the centerpiece of the laptop in my opinion. The laptop as a whole is great for the price but the 1080P screen with fast screen response is what makes this low level gaming laptop worth your first and most likely only choice to try and buy.
I have 6 gaming laptops in my home for my kids, myself and my wife. The Acer Nitro 5 is the cheapest by $600 to the next one and this laptop is by far my favorite screen for FPS games due to the 144Hz and 3ms response time. Yes, I have 2160P and 4K $3k laptops but they both max out at no more than 75Hz and I can never get more than 100 frames per second out of either, this laptop with the 3050 video card overclocked, I have seen 162 frames per second, I was mind blown I am able to runt he laptop at this level of graphics with a 3050.
To keep on going about the 3050 RTX, it is a Laptop base video card, it can handle a lot actually and does not overheat the computer either in anyway when maxed out and overclocked. The fans can get loud but not overbearing at all, it does its job to stay cool so you can keep on gaming. The DDR6 3050 with 4mb of memory is fast for processing and it shows, I cant get over how much better it does than my $3200 ROG gaming 4K laptop. Yes, the ROG looks better, but, with the 3080, it does not give me the massive frames per second and just better gaming experience this 1/3 price laptop does for me. Now, if I turn the 4K off and swap everything to run the 3080 in 1080P, it will demolish this laptop but again, it is 3 times the cost.
Now, for the rest of the laptop, the 512GB SSD and 8MB of DDR4 ram makes use of the 12 core Intel Core i5 processor and uses it to the fullest extent when gaming big games like COD and Battlefield but yet never slows down or overheats. The WiFi consists of IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax, Gigabit Ethernet is also ready to go and 5.2 Bluetooth connectivity is ready as well.
The backlit keyboard is easy to use in a dark bedroom and not too bright so the letters are super easy to read making my placement easy to check and get back online once I get off center or just forget where I am at with my finger placement. The touchpad is very responsive as well, utilizing the pad as a left and right click mouse as well, and it is easy along with knowing what is actually the left and right click.
The laptop also has multiple USB-A and a USB-C connection as well as HDMI for a second monitor or a projector. Windows 11 also works great on this computer, no issues whatsoever with the operating system and after a month of use, we have yet to have a crash or the laptop to not open a program, it is a very solid device.
Pros:
Screen
Long Battery Life
Fast Charging
SSD Hard drive
Lots of USB ports
Fast WiFi 6
Great keyboard
Core i5 12 core processor
3050 RTX Graphics
Cons:
Feel of outer case feel a little cheap
nothing else
If you are looking for a sub $1000 laptop, I would highly recommend looking at this one before any others, it is a great choice and if you or your school child wants a gaming laptop to do homework on as well, this is the one.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Basic bootup speeds won~t cut it ~ not at work, on the go, or in the game. But the Crucial P3 SSD is anything but basic. With NVMe performance that~s more than 6x faster than SATA2 and storage capacities up to 4TB3, the P3 leaves older storage technology in the dust. Get faster bootups, downloads and file transfers, and store all your files, photos, videos, apps, and games with room to spare with the quality and dependability you expect from Crucial.

Great SSD from a solid company.

The Crucial P3 2TB PCIe M.2 2280 SSD is one heck of a fast and large size internal PCIe drive for the price. The crucial wins my love with a sub $200 price take for a 3x4 NVMe interface while using the very popular PCIe M.2 SSD slot in most computers nowadays.
I used the SSD for my standalone USB 3.0 case made for M.2 Hard drives. I do this for Photography work, keeping all my pictures and drone shots in one place and can travel with it, the drive is protected within the case. The Crucial P3 drive has a very large lifespan with a minimal if 440 Terabytes of date processed guaranteed before it starts to degrade. For most users, I would say 87% of users will never need to swap these drives they are 10+ year SSDs, cant beat it for the price.
The Crucial P3 has a read speed of 3500 megabytes per second with a write speed of 3000 megabytes per second. This is great for gaming 90% of todays games, some need the benefit of a 4x4 NVMe but the Crucial did handle my sim racing game, Asseto Corsa, just fine, no frame drops or stalled gaming. I did not plan to use it for gaming but I wanted to test it with gaming and it does work great, Call of Duty also had zero issues.
The P3 also comes with a 5 year warranty, that in itself is rare and I love seeing a company that stands behind their products. Today is always about the fastest way to produce and get it out the door. Crucial has stepped up tremendously with a 5 year warranty in my book.
The last thing I need to bring up, the Crucial P3 2TB is that 2, yes, TWO full terabytes to use for how ever you want and you will have all the speed you need unless you are doing CadCam work and gaming at the same time, ask me how I know.
I highly recommend the Crucial P3, still blows my mind how good it really is for the girls to use daily.

Norton is Solid Antivirus Software but has Qwerks
on August 15, 2022
Posted by: ElectronicJunkie
Norton 360 Deluxe is a well known brand of anti-virus that you can trust and have high confidence it will keep you clean of data stealing software and bugs on your system. Norton has always been a top used product in my house, but, the past few years I tried others. I wanted to go back to Norton to see if they improved on the web browsing experience and I can say one thing, that experience is still in need of work.
With the 3 device allowance, I was able to add Norton to my main computers and keep my free brand on my kids laptops for school as I have them blocked anyways from all but 10 school allowed websites. The download and setup is super easy and takes about 20 minutes total to be up and running letting the first scan do its thing. I also setup Life Lock at the same time to take less total setup time so I could get back to my normal daily life with 4 daughters.
The Norton 360 Deluxe guards your computer from Viruses, Malware, Spyware, and had built in Ransomware built in as well. The virus protection is what you would expect in todays age, the main focus anymore is Malware and Spyware, just waiting for your Credit Card info to be typed in. This is where the VPN comes in as well. I will say the VPN is a great add on and more people should use them. The VPN works fine for normal everyday use but when gaming, I had to shut it off, my ping doubled and it starting making my FPS drop from 180 frames to less than 75 on average.
There are a ton of features which I will add below but I can say one thing is the web browser add on is too intrusive. It was the same in the past and I do not like it one bit. I work for a Fortune 500 company and Norton will not allow me to log in to my work portal so I can work from home, have to shut it off. Also, normal everyday websites are blocked constantly and I have to mark them safe just to browse. I have tried many settings and there is nothing to stop Norton from shutting down your work or progress.
Norton 360 Features and Pros:
Anti-Spyware
Antivirus
Malware
Ransomware Protection
Threat Protection Online
Password Manager - Better than Google all day long!
Smart Firewall - works too good stopping good activity to make sure that is what you want to do
Cloud Backup
Parental Control - perfect for when my girls need to use the big computers
Online Privacy using a VPN and Privacy Monitor
Dark Web Monitoring
Cons:
Browser Protection too strong
VPN is not fast enough for online gaming
LifeLock is marketed as an Identity Advisor, it advises too much, getting texts non stop of purchases including stopping some if I buy 2 things too close together. I did find you can adjust the notifications lower but still texts me more than I need, I am probably missing something obvious but I can honestly say, I have not had time to call their support and try to fix it so it is better and easier to use.
LifeLock does include some great features though, credit monitoring is nice to have along with the included Stolen Wallet protection and SSN alerts, that is nice as my SSN was stolen and used 3 years ago.
The total package of the Norton 360 with LifeLock is a solid 8 out of 10, just needs to be a little easier for the LifeLock setup and it would be a 9 out of 10, fix the browsing a tad to allow more common sites easier and it is a 10 out of 10 easily.

Fun Device for Kids and Parents, Cost just adds up
on July 26, 2022
Posted by: ElectronicJunkie
The Spacetalk Adventurer 4G Kids Smart Watch Phone and GPS is a neat device especially for my 8 and 10 year old, they like it besides the lack of apps or games you can use on it, which is ok with myself and my wife. The setup was easy, we chose to use the service they recommended and setup took about 30 minutes total.
My 8 year old is tiny, so we have to put it on her upper arm and my 10 year old said it feels a little bulky but not too bad. They do love the way they can easily call my wife and I and we used it a lot at the race track this past weekend to easily find them around the pits. This was probably the absolute best feature or reason for owning one, quick and easy to find your kid when they are bopping around to other kids race trailers and campers, especially when there are thousands of people around. Yes, that sounds crazy, but guess what, ATV racing is all family, but now we just have easier access to finding them quickly.
The apps are limited, I would love to have the ability to link this with Live 360 so I can have all my kids on one map as I have 4 daughters. I do not think this would be a hard request to add with Spacetalk, hopefully it is added at some point to make the watch that much more useful. We had to add the service that enabled features, I should have looked into that first, was not expecting more charges to utilize basic features of the smart watch as my other smart watches do not need this. I think this is a HUGE negative compared to just buying another name brand and just having the cell service added.
Overall, the watch does what we need, is very useful, customer service is great and setup was easy, I could have easily did it without calling Spacetalk, but for non-techy people, the Spacetalk rep we delt with was super nice and easy to talk to, he also agreed with the Life 360 integration, he said it should be an option to use if you are already paying for the service. I like the app and is easy to use but having all on one map would be so much simpler for big families like mine.
For the price, it is a great device, just needs some polishing with what is available and what integrations could help further their success into this market.

Easy Setup and Good Picture
on July 26, 2022
Posted by: ElectronicJunkie
The Kangaroo Smart Wi-Fi video doorbell with chime in black is a good doorbell camera for the money but has a small draw back that gives it one less star on the rating. The ease of the doorbell installation is fast and simple, all step by step on the app, takes less than 5 minutes total with creating your account.
Install is simple on the wall of your choice either using the 3M heavy duty sticky pad on the holder or even more secure with the screws. There is also a safety screw making it difficult to steal if someone was trying to, you will see them struggling and most likely catch who did it.
The camera is a welcome quality for the price range, crisp and clear video and a great field of view. I used this for my backdoor camera faced at my garage for deliveries coming during the day if I am in my office. The speed of notification delivery is about 4 seconds and the video lag is less than 2 seconds, I am very happy with that, it competes with my Nest Camera up front on speed.
The included doorbell plugs into either the included charging and/or power block directly or like I did, a USB power bank that I use by my desk so I can hear the doorbell being pressed. The charging of the doorbell is quick, only takes a few hours and it is good to go. I cannot comment on how long the battery lasts but it seems about 2% a day on average unless there is more movement.
The reason for the missing 1 star is you have to pay for Google Home integration. I have many other devices and this is not charged for on other brands, I am not impressed I would have to pay for this when this is the only camera or device I would. The rest of the features are not needed, I would rather pay $10 more for the device to just have the Google Home integration for life of the device, this would make it 5 stars and a top tier product.
Pros:
Easy Setup
App works great on newer Android devices
Quick notifications
Small Form Factor
Looks Great
Comes with Doorbell
Camera Quality
Sound Quality
Battery
Cons:
No Free Google Integration
Must pay more to open standard features of others close in the price range
Ads in the setup for insurance company savings
Overall, the Kangaroo Kangaroo smart Wi-Fi video doorbell is a quality product with an easy setup and easy to use app, just needs Google integration built in. I cannot comment on Apple use or integration as we do not use much Apple products in our home.

This is the perfect Microwave for any Household!
on July 6, 2022
Posted by: ElectronicJunkie
The Panasonic NN-SV79MS 1.4 Cu. Ft. Countertop Microwave Oven with Alexa integrated may be the best microwave for your home. The 1.4 Cubic Foot internal space is plenty for almost any food item you can cook besides a big turkey. Using the Pepsi can as an object we all know the size of, you can see in the photo how large the cooking area is on the rotating and removable platter.
The ease of cooking with this Panasonic is beyond simple, especially with the 20 pre-programmed options, I have used the coffee one more than a few times in the last week, the coffee comes out perfectly hot and ready to drink. I gave it a shot with 2 baked, well, microwaved potatoes wrapped in wet paper towels and it did make the potatoes ready to eat in about 13 minutes and once I added butter and sour cream, they were on point and not overcooked, so that was and is a huge win compared to the last one I had.
The unit has a Quick 30 button for 30 second increments along with a popcorn button, just pick the size of bag, Turbo Defrost, a Timer and the main button being the Microwave. It took a second to understand how the time needed to be set as it is unlike any other microwave I have used in my life. Usually there is a separate power level button and then you set your time and hit start. This Panasonic is setup to use the Microwave button to select the power level then after a few seconds, you use the dial knob at the bottom and rotate it to select the time you desire for the item you are cooking.
BUT WAIT! THERE IS MORE! ALEXA!!!!!
Yes, that is right, over 100 Alexa commands at your fingerrrr, I mean voice. Setting up the microwave is super easy on your WiFi because of Alexa, open you Alexa app on your phone or tablet, scan the QR Code and in less than a minute, your microwave is attached to your network and Alexa. Now, I bet you are wondering what Alexa can do that makes this such an important feature on a Microwave. To be honest, I did not know at first, I went into using this product as a Microwave, not a Jetson Household item of the future.
My new favorite thing is to put my breakfast sandwich into the microwave right before I go into the shower and now I tell Alexa to "Start Microwave for 2 minutes at 5:20 am" and boom, it does it. Now by time I am dressed and ready for the day, my sandwich is hot and ready to eat before I leave for work. Are your hands covered in cooking ingredients and you do not want to dirty the microwave buttons? Close the door with your butt and tell Alexa to start microwave for the time you need and go wash your hands.
The last thing I can say works pretty well, not perfect but very acceptable and worth the mention is the "One-Push Sensor" that cooks or reheats your food to a great temperature that is ready to eat. I had to look up how this worked because I did not understand how it does and it goes off the moisture being released and the temperature of the steam. That is pretty sweet tech and soon or a later, we will have the perfect pizza microwave with this kind of tech.
If you are looking for a solid Alexa controlled microwave, this Panasonic will suit your needs for everyday fast and easy cooking.

Flawlessly connected, Fiercely protected. Austere is moving beyond the primary function of providing power, to a place where performance, safety, and design come together to define what you should expect in power. Using our PureFiltration technology, Austere Power cleans noise and artifacts, that can travel through power lines and keeps them from impacting your devices. In addition, the Omniport USB provides rapid charge and protection for low-voltage devices. Austere also employs flameless MOV circuits and thermal protected outlets, keeping you safe from a home electrical fire. And if anything were to happen, our Component Guarantee promises to protect your equipment from damage, regardless of its value, whenever your devices are plugged into an Austere Power product. And because how it looks is as important as what it does, Austere~s proprietary aDesign philosophy elevates function through purposeful engineering and sleek design. Our surge protector power strips have a brushed aluminum housing, which creates an elegant way to power your home electronic devices. Always. Not all power is created equal. You may not know it, but your surge protectors can wear out over time. Joules~the protective layer of energy that defends your components~are finite. And when they are gone, it leaves your system completely unprotected from shock or surge. Traditional surge protectors only last a year or two so if you can~t remember when you last refreshed your home~s power, it~s likely time to do it now. And to take out the guesswork of when your Austere Power needs to be replaced, the blue protection shield icon on the Power unit will cease to illuminate once the Joules have been used. But that won~t happen for a long time because Austere Power is rated to last more than five times as long as most power products and guarantees to safeguard your system with our Component Guarantee.

Your Stereo Will Sound Ten Time Cleaner!
on June 21, 2022
Posted by: ElectronicJunkie
I was not expecting a difference but enter the power of the Austere V Series Surge Protector. I am utilizing the 8-outlet version for my Vizio P-series Quantum 75" along with a Pioneer 7.1 receiver pushing 100 watts per channel through Klipsch speakers or for daily use, our Bose Soundtouch 300 sound bar. The TV sound quality did become much clearer, but we do not use the TV volume much, we use the Bose soundbar for daily use.
The Bose soundbar was noticeably much more clear, and sound as a whole was without distortion or being overpowered. Yes, the sound becomes more equal and smoother, making it closer to what the sound production wanted you to hear. This made me realize it is not fake when engineers say electrical current will affect your electronic equipment more than you realize and sound seems to be a huge factor. The Austere made the biggest difference in the sound when the main focus in light sound with dialog, the voices come through smooth and clean, no crackling or volume changes, that made me a believer.
Now, the Pioneer has self-adjustment and time alignment and has never sounded perfect the way I expected. I honestly did not think it would make any difference for the time alignment but was pretty stoked for the sound after the difference with the Bose soundbar. I turned on the Pioneer, set the microphone (which is not the cheap Pioneer, I use a high dollar Shure) in the middle of the couch and let it run the program to adjust sound and time alignment. The differences in the time alignment alone made a huge difference and there has been zero change in position within my living room in over 5 years. The shadow effect I used to get from the satellite speakers are now gone, and I mean completely gone. The sound adjustment was surprising as well, creating a more real sound experience and the before and after for the center and rear side speakers were the most noticeable, showing the Mid and High adjustments at over a 20% adjustment on both, that was a crazy difference and extremely noticed by more than just me. The believer came out and I now can say the unit works and works well doing what Austere claims.
The Austere surge protector also has USB power outlets at 2.4 volts, and they consider this rapid charge. I have to disagree these are rapid charge, they are more standard in my home and more charging I have is 5 volts average with also using much more fast chargers on my Tablet and Phone. The 2 USB-A and 3 USB-C outlets are nice and since I have dedicated charging areas for devices, I ended up using the USB-A for my X-Box controller chargers and the USB-C for the lighting of my entertainment system. This was a huge plus because I no longer need to have 5 charging blocks plugged into my old power strip.
I have said what it does but how is the build quality? The build quality is so good, Austere gives you a Lifetime Guarantee on the surge protector and a 5-year component guarantee meaning if your stereo is damaged because the Austere V series protector failed, they will replace your damaged product(s). The materials look, feel and are great quality as well. The unit looks like a heavy brick, and it is, you grab it and feel the metal housing does not move at all, the cord has better materials used than a Tesla and outlet area plastic seems to be thick and ready for years or plug wiggles and making sure your devices keep working correctly.
The "Flameless MOV Protection" is a great safety addition as well, keeping your devices safe and not starting fires when high voltage spikes happen from power outages and flashes, lightening and more. This is a peace of mind feature, and you will not find it on cheap $15 surge protectors, period.
The "Smart Fit" outlet design is another feature I cannot thank the engineer at Austere for adding to the design of this surge protector. No more fighting for spots with today’s power blocks on so many devices. Electronic companies have removed the power supplies from their products to save room and shrink the size, all this did was make plugging in multiple devices to an outlet a chore and let’s be honest, completely frustrating, the Austere is designed to make sure you do not become frustrated.
I am very happy with the addition of the Austere V Series surge protector to my home theater, just makes it all that much better and I know I have a product that will be in use for the next 40+ years.

Clean Air is a must in my home and this unit Works
on June 15, 2022
Posted by: ElectronicJunkie
The Samsung Bespoke Cube Air Purifier is what I needed without actually knowing I needed it, especially during this horrible pollen season. Our family has seen a drastic decrease in the stuffy noses when indoors compared to prior years without the Samsung Bespoke Air Purifier.
When it arrived, the packaging was good enough it survived UPS literally throwing the box out the side of the truck, yes, the driver was having a bad day and he tossed it out right onto my driveway and left. I was initially worried and had it on video, even called UPS and sent them the video before opening in case there was damage. Guess what, not even a scratch, so the price reflects more than the product itself, it is also the packaging you are paying for and it was worth it.
The Bespoke air purifier connects to the Samsung Smart Things app for total control and ease of registering the product along with total operation control of the unit. The app also shows you all the data the actual unit is reading along with displaying it on its small ghosted display on the upper right corner. The power button took a minute to find, it is right next to the screen and is a tad hard to see at first in the gray color.
Quiet is the name of the game here, yes, even at full function and ripping all those bad particles out of the air, it sounds like a small fan, normal use, you will be unable to hear it, I guarantee it. As the particles measured goes up, the unit self-adjusts its need to pull more air through the filtering system and the front actually expands to allow more air through and once clean, it closes back up and turns back into a quiet unit that sits perfectly in any corner or middle of the room.
I placed ours near the front door and HVAC floor vent, which I can tell you the sensors are legit and work crazy fast. If you open the door, the unit almost instantaneously turns up the level of cleaning until back down to a normal level. This also does the same thing when the AC turns on, well, did at first. After a month of leaving the unit on auto, the AC no longer kicks it on as much, stating the air in our home is becoming more and more clean. I know it is stated for 350 sq feet but placing it near the vent has slowly helped clean the air throughout the home. The pet mode does seem to work, I have noticed my 13-year-old sneezing less and less from our cat and Husky.
The unit is a tad heavy, at 27 pounds, it is not the easiest to move especially for someone with an arm that is still being rehabbed after surgery. Luckily the foot pads on the bottom slide the unit easily across wood or laminate flooring.
I am very happy with the Samsung Bespoke Air Purifier that I ordered another for our upstairs hallway to help us breathe even better at night time.

Corsair is Making my Ears Very Happy w/ the HS80s!

The Corsair HS80 RGB headphones with USB connection are now my favorite gaming headphones to date. I did not think these would beat my go to Gaming headphones but boy was I pleasantly surprised. The HS80s are a USB only connection but the best part, they work with iCue and the adjustable nature of these are great as I already utilize iCue for multiple other Corsair products.
The HS80 is a 7.1 Dolby headset with massive 50mm drivers tuned for 20hz to 40khz (even though the human ear cannot hear much if anything over 20khz) and is Dolby Atmos ready. The iCue program has the adjustability to turn on and off Dolby Sound along with Stereo setting. The Equalizer has some basic presets but I always fine tune my equalizer listening to a few videos of myself playing FPS and Sim Racing games. The 7.1 surround shines white playing FPS games for myself, compared to my headphones that were almost 3 times the price, these are faster reacting, true directional sound and I could even hear the footsteps easier.
The long wire USB setup usually means low volume but not with the Corsair HS80s, they are loud but safe all the way to 100%, they will not blow your ears out but get ready for some killer immersion while gaming and even movie watching. Music also sounds great, very clear, no muddy sound, just clean bass, does not sound like an 80s Caprice trunk in a Sheetz parking lot at 2am bumping Eminem, it sounds like you are at the studio listening to him sing it right next to you.
Also, with iCue, there are some RGB settings you can change to make the logo match up in color with your other iCue devices, great for that streamer like myself that loves uniformity. You can adjust the mic sensitivity, make the mute button a different key assignment if you please and even adjust the brightness of your color changing logo.
Comfort is a HUGE plus with these, memory foam ear pads that feel amazing on your ears, hours of use and not one time have I wanted to remove them. The ear pads breathe quite well which makes for a no ear sweat and enjoyable gaming experience. The strap is an adjustable and soft band, being adjustable via Velcro from under than main hard material band. Looks are not boring at all and the tuck away mic is a nice touch. Flip the mic up, it is off, flip it down, it is on, great for when your kids or spouse walks in the room.
I am extremely happy with the Corsair HS80 RGB USB headphones, just wish their RGB stand did not cost almost as much, it would be a great addition to my already growing Corsair and iCue setup.
Pros:
Fit and Comfort
Looks
iCue compatibility
Amazing Sound
7.1 Dolby
Wired and is long for great reach
Works with Xbox and PC
Much More!
Cons:
NOT A SINGLE ONE I CAN FIND!!!
For the price, you will not be unhappy with this purchase, at sub $100, I do not think you can find a much better USB set of headphones and I have almost 20 pairs from years of testing and gaming, these would be my first choice to date.

Our baby monitor was built with the same Rexing standards and will prove to be the best personal babysitter. Our baby monitor stands out as it can record 720p video and Audio, all while alerting you if your baby is crying or if the temperature gets too hot or cold. Also, help your baby sleep faster by setting up and playing up to 8 lullaby songs.

Watch you baby with ease but some qwerks

The Rexing Baby monitor with night vision and 2 way communication is more than just a baby monitor, it is now my personal kitchen watch guard at night. Yes, I have 4 kids and snacks, drinks, candy, and food come up missing on a daily and nightly basis. I wanted a way to monitor real time the kitchen at night with being able to be alerted. The main reason is to break their habits so they live healthier lives unlike myself growing up.
Enter the Rexing 4.5" Video monitor, this has already shown to be an amazing product for what I needed and the same results will be for your baby viewing during your every day life. The 720p IPS screen is easy to see your baby or child but is not high end HD, there are better at the same price point. The night vision is decent, you can easily see your baby while sleeping and you will not have to wake them up to check on them, that is a huge plus, 4 kids, I know the struggle. The rotating head works decent, but it is very slow to react via the buttons on the monitor. Just tapping the button will not do anything, you have to hold down the key for the rotation you want for a second or 2 to get it one notch at a time.
The 2 way communication works fine, a little quiet on the monitor but decent on the camera side. There are sound and cry detection, no visual detection. So, if my kids are super quiet, they could possibly get by the camera but they are noisy and I am not saying a word. You can be up to 1000 feet away and that is without any WiFi, you only need a plug.
The camera unit is honestly a unusual size and design making mounting a little weird, you need something a little better than a cheap plastic wall mount. The camera is not extremely heaving but it is not light and the weight is not centered to the product, it is more front heavy which means it will only pull away from the wall with a cheap bracket.
Overall, the Rexing baby monitor is a good choice but could use a little diet, touch screen for ease as the touch pad is finicky, and a slightly better screen.
Pros:
Setup within minutes
6 hours of screen on time battery
13 hours of audio only
Rotating camera
Sensitive sound pickup
Recording function
Long Distance Reach
Cons:
Price is a little steep
Rexing is still proving themselves in the tech industry
No Touchscreen
No visual movement detection
I am happy with the Rexing monitor as it does what I need it too.

Could I run the Air condition when the ambient temperature outside is blow 32*F ?

I would not advise it as the condenser would most likely freeze.
