David Swift's family classic Pollyanna comes to DVD with this impressive two-disc set from Disney/Buena Vista. The disc offers a widescreen transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.75:1. This is easily the best this film has ever looked on home video. The English soundtrack is rendered in Dolby Digital Surround. Spanish subtitles are accessible, and the soundtrack is closed captioned. Supplemental materials include a commentary track recorded by director Swift and star Hayley Mills, the animated short Nifty Nineties, three featurettes, production archives, a 1960 Disney studio album, and Walt Disney's original introduction for the film's first television broadcast. This is a wonderful family disc that offers extras that will appeal to kids, adults, and film enthusiasts.

Back when times were more simple and morals were from a different era-this is the movie that made me fall in love with Hayley Mills as a child actress. Love it!

I loved Happy Death Day - the first movie. Yes it's a hokey movie but it's a fun little "horror" movie with an actual character growth arch! Imagine that! So when number 2 came out I was thrilled. It didn't disappoint. Although it's less horror and more sci-fi comedy. I was wary thinking the story would be like Groundhog Day revisited, but it wasn't. The plot was entirely different and just as humorous and enjoyable. Must have movie for anyone who loves 'good-bad' movies in the horror-comedy genre.

In my mind it was the perfect ending to the franchise and they didn't need to make a fourth one. This is definitely the best Toy Story movie of them all. You will laugh but most of all you will cry. Each movie in the trilogy has its scary moments, this one, however, has the darkest, scariest of them all. It also has the happiest though. You will be crying because of fear and joy. The toys all work together, which teaches the children friendship and teamwork. And Andy is a teenager going to college, which teaches the parents that kids aren't kids forever. It has great lessons for everyone. But be wary for children too young watching this.

When I saw the first Toy Story, I wasn't sure what to think but it was great! This took it to a new level with comedy digs to Star Wars and Jurassic Park and yet stayed true to the main theme. Woody and Buzz were great, as usual, but the introduction of the Round-Up Gang was wonderful. What was surprising, was that there were Two villians in the plot. The man who kidnapped Woody to complete his collection of the Round -Up Gang to send to Japan, and Stinky Pete, who lived up-er down to his name. While this is a great stand alone story, it fit seamlessly with the first Toy Story picture, and it will with the third one and fourth.

Disney has been on a roll lately. Their Tinkerbell movies, Sofia the first, and now Frozen I consider some of the best and most refreshing to watch with kids. This is without including even the always excellent Pixar movies. Good lessons, meaningful character development, great attention to detail. John Lasseter undoubtedly is one of the reasons for this move towards such high quality movies that make you feel good. I respect his vision.

The cinematic quality was of course, superb. It presented good closure to a few decades of storytelling which felt very fast paced but when you slow down and enjoy this as a movie, it was a beautiful end to the main Star Wars Legacy.
Well opened quite a few doors for generations to come.
The Jumanji video gamers and their adventurous avatars (Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black, and Karen Gillan) return in this action-packed sequel. This time, the game is on the fritz, players inhabit different characters, and two old geezers (Danny DeVito and Danny Glover) get sucked into the world of Jumanji, all of which makes for an even wilder ride that leads to the ultimate boss fight with sinister villain Jurgen the Brutal (Rory McCann). With Nick Jonas, Alex Wolff. 123 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack English. Two-disc set.

The films starts a couple years into the future where the group (Spencer, Fridge, Bethany, and Martha) have been living their lives away from each other but plan a reunion for brunch over the holidays. Spencer who is struggling with his mental health ends up no showing, resulting in the group going to his house in search of him only to find Spencer’s grandfather Eddie (DeVito) and his former business partner Milo (Glover). The adventures begin when the group hears the game playing from the basement. Realizing Spencer is in the game, they agree they must help him, only things don’t go as planned as the game is partially broken resulting in different avatars and Eddie and Milo entering the game instead of Bethany. This also helps to set up the jokes and amusing dialogue throughout the movie. This time they must recover the jewel from Jurgen the Brutal and show it to the sun in order to win the game, all while teaching Eddie and Milo (now played by Hart and Johnson) the ins and outs of the game. Characters swap bodies during the game, new game items, new skills, new dangers in animals and human form, and yes some heartfelt moments or cheesiness (whatever you prefer to call it). Once the game begins, the action starts and is pretty much non-stop. I’ll leave it at this due to spoilers but will say in the credits, there’s potential for another movie (they better do it right if they are going there).
Regarding acting, Hart absolutely nailed the part. Don’t get me wrong, they all did great, but Hart shines (anyone who’s a Glover fan will know what I’m talking about).
A field trip to Europe with his classmates was supposed to provide Peter Parker (Tom Holland) with a well-earned respite from his superhero alter-ego of Spider-Man. But when he's recruited by superspy Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), Spidey is soon back on the job and teaming up with the InchMysterioInch-us Quentin Beck (Jake Gyllenhaal)-apparently a hero from an alternate universe-for a dangerous mission that may not be what it appears. Zendaya, Jon Favreau, Marisa Tomei co-star in this fun-filled Marvel sequel.

I LOVE Smart Superhero Movies!!!!
ByAandJ091108
After Endgame, I wondered what could be next and this movie definitely didn't disappoint! I love superhero movies that, even though they're still fantastical and obviously fictitious, explain themselves and aren't so fantastical that they're completely unbelievable. This one fit that bill to a "T". At first I wasn't sure about Mysterio and I knew that there had to be a catch and when he showed his true colors it made me like him a lot! I have to admit: I LOVE Jake Gyllenhaal and Tom Holland and I'd probably watch them in anything at least once, but I'm so glad I've purchased this and will definitely watch it again and again! Another thing: I'm pleasantly surprised by Zendaya's character development and acting chops! She's not a damsel in distress like Kirsten Dunst was in the last Spider-Man trilogy (sorry, didn't even bother with the last set made with Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone) and the relationship between her and Tom Holland seems plausible and like a match made in reality, but not "in heaven" (i.e. perfect and squeaky clean). Gah. Just watch this movie. You won't be sorry!
