Best Superhero!

Brilliant as always, marvel, well done. Top notch acting especially by Brie, Jude, and Sam. Perfect soundtrack. Finally a female superhero movie that I wish was around when I was growing up. Captain Marvel really is the best superhero we have yet to see in the MCU or any superhero universe.

Still A Great Film!

This is one of the greatest horror films in the history of cinema. While not the scariest film of all time, it has a great story and special effects that still holds up today for the most part, and it's just downright creepy.
The film itself is definitely a great print of the film. It looks and sounds better than ever.
Nevertheless, I will stress once again that this is absolutely the best edition available for the film, so if you love the movie, it is still worth the purchase.

An Excellent Spin-Off that Stands on Its Own!

Gary Ross’s “Ocean’s 8” follows Debbie Ocean (Sandra Bullock), the sister of Danny Ocean (George Clooney), who’s revealed to have died sometime since the events of “Ocean’s Thirteen.” The cast further includes Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Mindy Kaling, Sarah Paulson, Awkwafina, Rihanna, Helena Bonham Carter, Richard Armitage, and James Corden. In a connection to the previous trilogy of films, Elliott Gould and Qin Shaobo reprise their roles as Reuben Tishkoff and The Amazing Yen. At one point, Bonham Carter claims the Eskimo put their elders out on an ice floe in a callback to “Ocean’s Twelve.”
The film moves from the glitz and glam of Las Vegas to the equally glamorous world of art, history, and fashion in New York City, where the 8 plan to steal the diamonds from a famous necklace from Cartier at the Met Gala. The new cast are all fantastic additions to the franchise, with Blanchett, Rihanna, and Carter standing out as the most interesting in this narrative. The others are certainly fun and Ross shows the audience their motivation, but they don’t have quite the same consistent development through the film, which is okay as this is an ensemble heist film. In their respective roles as the mark and the insurance investigator, Hathaway and Corden are equally interesting and offer a nice change from the usual casino bosses in the earlier films.
“Ocean’s 8” is a worthy addition to the franchise and, perhaps most important for a spin-off, it successfully stands alone as its own heist film. Think of the standalone Marvel films that may include some references to others in the franchise, but can be enjoyed on their own merits. The story is smart, original, and updates the heist to reflect the technology of today. Hopefully the studio supports more so that the franchise can continue.

One of the best DCEU films, and as good as some of MCU movies I think. The DC has stepped up their game - this is another level. Never had I expected this movie will this be good, after the Justice League and Batman V Superman because those movies are done and let's forget about those. This is the most ambitious comic book movie I've ever seen so far. Finally a movie that DC fans deserves, this film is just beautiful within the cinematography, visuals, also the action scenes. The action scenes kinda remind me of Romanticism painting, it is visually stunning and breathtakingly beautiful. James Wan did a marvelous job for Aquaman. The cast are outstanding, outstanding performances. I don't think any actors can take the role of Aquaman better than Jason Momoa. The atmosphere of this film looks magnificent vibrant and has high-quality then any DCEU film. Finally we can see the light after those dark days. It has clear motivations for both heroes and villains, pretty solid.
But, DCEU really need to fix their poor lines. The writing isn't the best - some dialogues are still cheesy and awkward. Nothing new for the plot, but it is simply enough - almost the same with any superhero film - save the world, family issues, etc. But it has a great message about polluting the water. Also the film scoring and soundtrack was a miss. And I don't see how and why Black Manta is the best villains, his story kinda flat and lacking for me. Black Manta has daddy issues seems not enough for me to think he is the best villain.
After all, this is highly recommended movie for superhero movie fans. Also you have to watch it in an 4K. Worth it!

A Wonderful Picture

My favorite part was when Mary Poppins and Jack were singing about, “don’t judge a book by it’s cover.” To see the books come alive and then dancing through them. So cool!! Also, I loved when the "Bert" danced on the bank desk. Plus, when Mary Poppins, Jack, and the 3 children jumped into the broken China bowl and fixed the carriage to take a ride. And of course, when Mary Poppins draws them a bath and you see a real dolphin pop out.
The music was wonderful!! I loved Emily Blunt’s delivery and she did everything “Mary Poppins perfect”! Jack’s singing was wonderful as well and then when the lamp-lighters danced and sang, it was just awesome. I loved how they added choreography with the bike tricks. Super cool.
Everything was beautiful but what was best of all — is how Disney still brought in new magic BUT! held onto the old magic all at the same time. That is so hard to do! They could have done crazy things but they just held onto the original Mary Poppins magic and tricks all while putting a new spin on them.
I just loved it!!! Excellent job Emily Blunt! Excellent job Disney!
You all did not disappoint!

Couch potato Roy Knable (John Ritter) has entered a new dimension in TV viewing - on the other side of the screen. If he survives, he can return home. If not, like a show with no audience, he'll be cancelled...for good! The satellite dish Roy just bought on a free trial offer has sucked him and wife Helen (Pam Dawber) into a hilariously bizarre teleworld. The Knables zap through epsodes of Duane's Underworld, HTV, Northern Overexposure,

I LOVED IT!!! This movie will make you laugh, will make you cry, will inspire you, and will definitely entertain you. It is a Broadway show on steroids! The cinematography, the directing, the composition of the scenes, the choreographies, the costumes, the music... everything was amazing. The music really gets in you. The songs are catchy and fresh. I have it on my playlist on repeat. The song This is Me will become an anthem for sure. The acting was amazing. I love Hugh Jackman; he never disappoints. Zac impressed me too. The scene with Zac and Zendaya in the air was perfect! I mean, this is the only movie I would go back to watch in the theater. I didn't even do it for Titanic! My daughter age 13 loved it too. It was the best Christmas movie ever.

STILL MY ALL-TIME FAVORITE MOVIE!
on March 9, 2019

First let me say that I'm not going to get worked-up over Tom Hanks' portrayal of a mentally handicap character. While Forrest was not the sharpest tool in the shed, his IQ was not more than two standards deviations below the mean. Besides, Mr. Hanks is an actor, and he was merely acting according to the way the author wrote the character, the way the director directed the character, and his own interpretation of both.
This is an exceptional movie--still my all-time favorite. I haven't actually watched it in a while, but when I do, I'm moved every time. How can one not be moved by a character so ingenuous, so resilient, and so good? How can one not be moved by such an incredible story, so skillfully directed? Bad things sometimes happen to good people. "It happens," as Forrest said. Someone once said that "life is ten percent what happens and 90 percent how I react to it." Never has this truth been so accurately portrayed as in this wonderful movie, "Forrest Gump."
"Is he smart, or is he. . . .?" That scene clinched the Oscar for Tom Hanks, and I still can't watch it without getting a big lump in my throat and tears in my eyes. Tom Hanks is the best, most versatile actor of our time, and never has he been more brilliant than he was in this movie. No one with a pulse can watch this movie and not be moved by it--perhaps even changed. I could not recommend any movie more highly.

The most underrated TV show does it once again!

This is by far the best season of the most underrated show, The Middle! From the first season 8 episode of "The Core Group" to the season finale entitled "Fight or Flight," each episode is filled with a variety of pure Heck craziness. Whether it's Brick and his obsession with fonts, Sue in love with a designated driver or Axl trying to get away from his family, this season is a great add to your home video collection for those cold winter days, rainy days or when you just want to relax and unwind for quality family time. Do yourself a favor and buy this season. You will not be disappointed!

This multi-disc release contains all episodes from season 7 of The Middle, a sitcom about a working-class family in the U.S. heartland. The comedy follows the daily strife of frazzled mom Frankie (Patricia Heaton) who, alongside her husband (Neil Flynn), raises their three kids the youngest being an outcast at school because of his unusual behavior.

Season 7 is a hoot! No signs of slowing down!

The Middle is one of my favorite TV shows. Season 7 is a hoot with Mike going through a mid-life crisis, then going all in on his brother's diaper business. Sue is off to college and Axl adjusting to life with his sister there. I've never seen a show adjust to sending one kid off to college, let alone two. It's fun seeing the family mature, but the humor remain the same. It also takes great advantage of its recurring roles. Sean Donahue and his mother battle over his "hippie" phase, and Mike's brother (Norm MacDonald) is absolute gold this year! Almost all of the episodes are great, but "The Wisdom Teeth" and "A Very Donahue Vacation" definitely are at the top! The Middle is one of the hilarious, feel-good comedies. It has a lot of heart, and the characters care about each other. What more can you ask for?

A field trip to Europe with his classmates was supposed to provide Peter Parker (Tom Holland) with a well-earned respite from his superhero alter-ego of Spider-Man. But when he's recruited by superspy Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), Spidey is soon back on the job and teaming up with the InchMysterioInch-us Quentin Beck (Jake Gyllenhaal)-apparently a hero from an alternate universe-for a dangerous mission that may not be what it appears. Zendaya, Jon Favreau, Marisa Tomei co-star in this fun-filled Marvel sequel.

I LOVE Smart Superhero Movies!!!!
By AandJ091108
After Endgame, I wondered what could be next and this movie definitely didn't disappoint! I love superhero movies that, even though they're still fantastical and obviously fictitious, explain themselves and aren't so fantastical that they're completely unbelievable. This one fit that bill to a "T". At first I wasn't sure about Mysterio and I knew that there had to be a catch and when he showed his true colors it made me like him a lot! I have to admit: I LOVE Jake Gyllenhaal and Tom Holland and I'd probably watch them in anything at least once, but I'm so glad I've purchased this and will definitely watch it again and again! Another thing: I'm pleasantly surprised by Zendaya's character development and acting chops! She's not a damsel in distress like Kirsten Dunst was in the last Spider-Man trilogy (sorry, didn't even bother with the last set made with Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone) and the relationship between her and Tom Holland seems plausible and like a match made in reality, but not "in heaven" (i.e. perfect and squeaky clean). Gah. Just watch this movie. You won't be sorry!
