Is the go pro 8 water proof

Yes, the HERO8 Black is waterproof down to 33 feet on its own. If you want to take the HERO8 deeper than that, there is a separate housing called the HERO8 Protective Housing that can be used with it.

The phone would need to be paired with the GoPro camera using the GoPro app. Another method would be to download the video to the phone that is paired, and then share that video with other people nearby through the phone itself.
