Do you need a pc or can you edit videos or can you use an ipad?

You can edit videos from your GoPro using most smartphones and iPads. You would use the GoPro app to do those edits. If you're concerned about being able to use your iPad, you can download the GoPro app for free and try it before you purchase a GoPro camera.

We have a fish pond my wife is house bound, will I be able to mount this camera under water turn it on & have it send the live feed video to my computer into the house until the battery goes dead

There's not an easy way to do that with the HERO7 White since it doesn't have an HDMI out or the option to live stream. Even with our models that do live stream, sending a live signal from an underwater camera is most likely not going to work since the water would interfere with that signal. To assure you get a signal, you'd want to use an HDMI cable with a camera that has an HDMI port like the HERO7 Black. You'd also need to work through how to assure the camera is kept waterproof with a cable connected.

GoPro does not make a gimbal for the HERO8 Black. The HERO8 Black has an advanced stabilization feature that's done in camera. If you are looking for an additional stabilizer, there may be third party products that may work with the HERO8.

Does the GoPro - Hero 7 have the capability to stream live to my I pad so my customer can follow along in real time? Does it also stream live to facebook?

Is the gopro 7 white shockproof? Asking to see if I can buy an attachment for my rifle.

Yes, the HERO7 White is designed to be as rugged as all other GoPro cameras. Many users do attach their cameras to their rifles. The GoPro Sportsman mount is a great option for that.

I want to use this to video record lectures. Can this clearly capture words on a ppt from about 20-30ft away?

Yes, depending on the size of the screen, the HERO7 White should be able to clearly capture the slides from that distance.
