When using to take photos, is there a zoom? If so, how much of a zoom. If not, are there other models in the same price range that do have it. If I get it, I want it for photo taking also.

There is a touch zoom on the HERO7 White that will allow you to get a little closer to what you're shooting, but it's not going to give you a telescopic type of zoom.

My husband ride dirt bikes, Is this camera a good option for him? He loves to record when racing/riding with his friends.

The Fusion could work for that type of activity. Because the Fusion shoots in 360, the lenses on it are different than on our HERO models. If he's going to be shooting where he and the GoPro are going to get hit by lots of mud and rocks, he might like one of our HERO models instead. The HERO8 Black is a good model to look at.

Yes, the HERO7 Silver is designed to handle rough environments, and since it's waterproof down to 33 feet, rain and snow won't be an issue. Cold temperatures can reduce battery life though. Whenever the GoPro is not in use, try to keep it warm if possible. Keeping it in an interior pocket in your coat is a good option.

Depending on which settings you choose, the battery should power anywhere from 45 to 90 minutes of recording time. Higher resolutions and frame rates use more power than lower ones. Yes, you can use the GoPro while it's plugged in, though the camera will not be waterproof while it's plugged in.

Recording time is determined by the power supply and by the SD card you use - the larger the card, the more recording time it can store. For power, you can record with the GoPro plugged in, which would give you unlimited recording time as far as the power goes. If you're using battery power, the recording time ranges from 45 minutes to 90 minutes depending on which mode you're shooting in.

The HERO7 Silver is a great camera for creating YouTube videos. It can shoot up ot 1440p at 60 frames per second, and it's built-in mics capture great audio.
