Does this video camera have a remote controI, so if I attach it to my rv roof I can turn it on and off while on the road?

You can use the GoPro Smart Remote with the HERO7 Black. That will allow you to control the camera, but you will already need to have the camera on and paired with the remote. If you don't use the GoPro for a while, it will go into a standby mode, and when you're ready to use it, the remote can reactivate the GoPro so you can start recording.

The HERO7 Black is waterproof on its own to 33 feet. You don't need any additional housing as long as you stay shallower than 33 feet.
