What kind of external microphone can I use for this GoPro 7? sorry I’m new to GoPros.

Many brands and models of external mics will work with the HERO7 Black.

This list is not 100% complete, but the following mics are supported: All Rode VideoMic models, Sennheiser MKE 440, Sennheiser MKE 400, Countryman Lapel (MEMWF05BD2-R), Sound Professionals SP-TFB-2, Opteka VM-100 Video Condenser Shotgun Microphone, Sony ECMCS3 Clip style Omnidirectional Stereo Microphone, Shure VP83 LensHopper Condenser Microphone, and generally any lavalier microphone is supported.

Note that you will also want to get the GoPro Mic Adapter to bridge the external mic to the GoPro.

The Handler is not telescopic. One of the key features of the Handler is that it will keep you GoPro afloat if dropped in water, so it does have an open core that adds in its buoyancy.

Will the GoPro Hero 7 Black be compatible with the accessories I already purchased (such as the chesty and the headstrap) for older GoPro models?

Yes, the HERO7 Black uses our standard connector, so it should work with nearly all GoPro mounts.

Is the karma drone compatible with hero 7 black?

Yes, the HERO7 Black is compatible with the Karma Drone and Grip as long as you use the harness for the HERO5 Black/HERO6 Black/HERO7 Black. Note that live streaming, photo timer, and TimeWarp won't work while the HERO7 Black is used in the drone.

Do you need WiFi to use this? Can you use it in the middle of the ocean?

No, you don't need wifi to use the HERO7 White. The camera operates fine without it. Even if you want to pair the GoPro to your phone using the GoPro app, you don't need any external wifi signal. The camera itself generates a wifi signal that allows the GoPro to communicate with your phone. Note though that you will need to wifi to download the GoPro app, so be sure to do that before you head out to the middle of the ocean. Also, there are some higher-level functions like live streaming that will require an external wifi, but for regular uses, your GoPro should work wherever you go.

How adhering is the mounting to a motorcycle helmet?

The replacement batteries are the same batteries as the one that came with the GoPro.

Does the Hero 7 record km.per hour or miles per hour?

The data the GoPro records can be shown in either format - imperial or metric. When you pick the gauges you want to use as overlays on your video, you'll be able to choose the format you prefer.
