Does this camera do 360 live action

The HERO8 Black does not shoot in 360. It records using a single lens, which while it can shoot a pretty wide angle, can not shoot in 350. For 360 video, take a look at the GoPro MAX camera.

Is the GoPro shorty submersible? Is it ok for light snorkeling?

The Shorty has no electrical parts, so it can be taken underwater. It won't float the GoPro though, so you'll want to add a float attachment to the setup or make sure the camera is securely tethered just in case. Also, if you're going to use it in salt water, it's always a good idea to rinse it and the GoPro with fresh water afterward.

The Light Mod has its own internal rechargeable battery that you can charge separately from the camera.

Is this the newest version? And does it come with a memory card?

There's only been one generation of the GoPro MAX, so this is the latest version. An SD card is not included in the camera's packaging, but may be included if you're purchasing a bundle or other special offer.

Does this camera like the Insta360 remove the right of the hand pole while filming

As long as the pole or handle are kept in the stitch lines (ex. directly beneath the camera), they will be stitched out of the shot.

You should be able to do that without any issues as long as your phone model can use the GoPro app. If you have concerns, you can download the GoPro app now to make sure it works with your phone.

I can't load software updates to camera for Max Lens because I can't get my phone or GoPro to link with my WiFi network. Is there another way to update the camera without using WiFi? Hard wire?

If you have a computer, you can download the firmware and move the files onto your SD card. When you reinstall the SD card, the update will happen automatically. Look for the "manual update" instructions on the GoPro website for full instructions.

The HERO9 Black has built-in mics that allow you to capture great audio. If you'd like to use an external mic, that's possible too, but you will need to use an adapter to get the mic to connect. You can use the GoPro Pro 3.5mm Mic Adapter or the Media Mod for the HERO9 Black.

Yes, the HERO9 Black has a GPS function. When activated, the GPS feature will let you do things like overlay GPS data on your videos.
