The suction cup mount. Am I doing something wrong? When I mount it to any flat surface it shakes and bounces all over. It is pretty much useless.
You'll want to make sure that the seals on the mount are clean and that the surface is clean and smooth. If the mount is holding, but the mount is still bouncing, be sure that the arms and connections are all securely locked down.

Does it fit with the media mod or you have to take the media mod off in order to use this lense?
You do not need to remove the Max Lens Mod to use the camera with the Media Mod. You can keep the Max Lens Mod on the camera while you use the Media Mod, and while you connect or disconnect the camera from the Media Mod.

What powers the GoPro camera & does it use some kind of chip or disk for storage? Are these items included or must they be purchased separately? I know nothing about digital cameras or media, so please make it simple. Is this suitable for 11 yr old?
GoPro cameras are powered by a battery, which is included with the camera. Depending the model, the battery is either removable or an internal battery. Either type is rechargeable. You can also power a GoPro camera using a USB-C cable (also included with the camera) that is plugged into a power supply (ex. most USB power supplies like the one you might use to charge a smartphone should work). For storage, you will need to use a micro SD card. These are not included with the camera. We have a list of recommended cards on the GoPro.com website if you need help selecting the right card for your GoPro.

how much memory is on the unit its self? also can I add memory and what's the limit?

This remote is not compatible with the HERO5 Black. There is a separate remote call the Smart Remote that will work with the HERO5 Black.
