GoPro - Media Mod for HERO8 - Black

Does this case provide protection for the GoPro? Will it keep it from breaking if it is dropped?
The Media Mod isn't really designed as a protective housing, so while it may provide some protection if the GoPro is dropped, it won't provide as much protection as a housing would, and you may damage the Media Mod as well. If you're concerned about protecting your HERO8, be sure to take a look at the Protective Housing designed for the HERO8.

The connector on the Handler itself can not be replaced, but the mount you use to connect a GoPro to the Handler can be replaced. Any standard GoPro mounting buckle can be used.

Is it password protected? Meaning can someone shut it off without, my permission? Also does it need to be charging too record, or does it have a battery life? Lastly do my recordings stay on thr camera or upload to the cloud?
GoPro cameras are not password protected, so if someone can access the camera, it would be possible for them to power the camera off. GoPro cameras can operate off of the battery or by a power cord. Recordings stay on the SD card you use with your GoPro, and you can set it up to auto-upload to the cloud as well if you prefer.

Does this case works for a go pro max 360
This housing is designed specifically for the HERO9 Black. It will not work with the MAX.

I've read repeated questions/answers about the waterproofability of this camera... being a newbie I need to ask about the waterproofability of this camera if riding a motorcycle through a thunderstorm... how waterproof would it be in this instance?
As long as the door on the HERO9 Black is closed securely, it is waterproof down to 33 feet. Rain will not be an issue for the HERO9 Black.
