Can this new model Move 2 be paired with a the Sonos OG Move for stereo sound or is it only with another Move 2 that it can be paired properly?

Since Move 2 has two tweeters and Move 1 has one you cannot pair two together to create a stereo pair. However, you can group multiple Moves of either generation together to create a larger sound. Each player would be playing both the left and right channel sound.

Sounds like these are just regular passive speakers. I stll need a Sonos amp to connect into my Sonos system. Can I connect my CD and Turntable into it as well? Are there any other advantages to these speakers if I can just use any speaker?

Yes, you would still need an Amp to power them. If you chose our Sonos Amp it does have a line-in input for additional devices. The advantage to using our Sonos Amp with the Sonos speakers is that they are the only passive speakers that can be tuned to your specific environment using a process called TruePlay in our app. Second, you can connect up to three pairs of Sonos by Sonance speakers to one Amp.

What is the sound quality for outdoor use (e.g. at a youth soccer game with crowd noise)?

I think you will be pleasantly surprised by the output. I'd recommend you check it out at your local store as it will give you a good sense of the sound output.

I was going to bring this to South America (220v), where the voltage is double the US (110v). Are they releasing a model that is compatible with 220v outlets, so the battery doesn’t get toasted by the extra voltage?

Our products have converters built into them for 220.

Could these be used in a home theater (as surrounds) with standard equipment, and without any other Sonos products?
