How stable are the speakers on the stands? I have used Sanus mounts for the Sonos One and the speaker is not secured very well. Anyone know how well these hold the speakers?

The Sonos stands were designed internally and rigorously tested. I'd say give them a try I believe you will like them.

How good is the range?

We use some of the strongest wireless cards available, however your homes WiFi network has a lot to do with how far you will be able to get a signal. Once out of range you can always switch to bluetooth.

No, the Sonos One is not battery powered. However, the Sonos Move is.

No, you do not need to download the app on your computer to play the music from it. Your app on your mobile app will be able to access your music and send it to the appropriate speaker. In regards to your Smart TV you do not have to download an app for it.

No, the Sonos One SL is not designed to be waterproof. The player that is water resistant is our all new Sonos Move.

My Insigna NS-L55X-10A tv does not have optical or HDMI-ARC. What Sonos device do I need to use Sonos speakers?

I checked the spec's on that TV and per Best Buy's website it says that it does have an optical output on the back, so any of our soundbar solutions should work for you.
