Great question. You can have up to 32 players all playing the same thing at the same time technically. If you had 32 Sonos Roams, all 32 could be grouped. Although possible to group all 32 on our end, experience would rely on the integrity of your wifi network.

I have a sonos arc and the new sonos sub and the pair of the new rear sonos speakers will this help them if i hook them up wirelessly?

Hi and thanks for your question. You can use those products wirelessly without any additional hardware. The Sonos Amp is designed to turn passive speakers like outdoor, or in ceiling speakers into speaker that are powered, and controlled by Sonos.

I have a sonos arc in my small apartment living room - will this work with only just the arc by itself? I'm noticing other comments where people have more than one speaker paired with the arc.

Yes. You can use just Arc, and Sub mini. You can also bond speaker like Era 100, 300, or Sonos Five to it as surrounds if you would like. Which is probably what those comments are referring to.

Can this be hooked up to most any smart tv?

Sonos Roam is not designed to hook up to tv's. It's a portable speaker for music primarily. If the Tv send audio out via bluetooth, you could technically get tv audio that way. Or, you could use one of our soundbars on the tv and group the Sonos Roam with that to play the same thing in both speakers.
