I just configured new laptop. But speakers not working but headphones do. Although it says drivers and settings are fine but no sound on speakers even after reinstalling sound drivers. Is this a known issue and what is the resolution?

We are sorry to hear that your are having issues with the system audio within your Lenovo IdeaPad 3 15 Laptop, model number 81WE00NKUS. First, be sure the system speakers are not on Mute. Tap the HotKey in the F1 position on your keyboard to unmute the system speakers, then tap the F3 HotKey to increase system speaker volume. If this does not fix the issue, check the system speaker configuration. To resolve this, go to the Windows taskbar and right-click the speaker icon, select Open Sound Settings and enter audio preferences. In the Output section, click Manage Sound Devices. Select the Output device and click the Test button. Try for each of the audio devices you see until you hear audio. This model is user upgradable to 16 GB ram and features 2x Dimms (Ram Slots). In it's current configuration it features 1x 8GB stick of DDR4 memory 2933MHz.

Hello, there. To see personal photos on your Lenovo Smart Display you will need to setup "Photo Frame" with Google Photos. Step 1 --> Download the Google Photos App to your Smart Device that has the photos you would Like to Display. Step 2, --> Upload your photos into the Google Photos App, and Create an Album. Step 3 --> Open the Google Home App on the Same smart device that you used to upload the photos. (This needs to be connected to the same network as the Smart Display). Step 4---> Open the Smart Display's settings in the Google Home App and turn on "Photo Frame" Step 4. ---> Select the photo Album that you made in Google Photos. Step 5 --> On your Smart Display swipe up with your fingers from the bottom of the screen and select the gear shaped "settings" Icon. and turn on "Photo Frame" with your newly created album =)

Hi Kevin, the Lenovo Smart Clock with Google Assistant only displays the outdoor temperature, however, if you have a connected smart thermostat you may ask Google 'What's my temperature inside?" or insert name of specific room if you have multiple sensors.

Im looking at a desktop for gaming and found this one. If in the future I want to add or swap parts would that be possible? Its not a clear case so I cant see how much room it has.

The Lenovo IdeaCentre 5i Desktop, model number 90NA0001US ships with 8GB DDR4-2933MHz RAM ( 2 x 4GB). The maximum supported system RAM is 32GB DDR4-2933MHz within the two RAM memory slots. There is one 3.5-Inch mechanical 1TB 7200 RPM hard drive installed. There are no open PCIe slots within this configuration. There is a internal 260W power supply.

I have heard switching out of S mode will slow down the operating system. Does the link / instructions help to get around that problem. It should be made clear when you are ordering that you are limited to S mode (my item: Lenovo IdeaPad 3 w/ i5).

The Switching out of Windows 10 S-Mode Operating System will not slow the system down. The software installed after the switch is usually the reason for any noticeable slowdown of the computer. The Lenovo IdeaPad 3 15 Laptop, model number 81WE00NKUS, does ships with Windows 10 S-Mode 64-bit Operating System. Windows 10 S-Mode provides added security by only allowing APPs available ( and therefore certified by Microsoft) at the Microsoft Store. If you don't need the added security or you need to install APPs not available at the Microsoft Store, you can switch to standard Windows 10 Home 64-bit Operating System, at no additional cost.
