This Yoga 7i 2-in-1 does feature an HDMI port, but it does not ship with an HDMI cable, and it does not have a stylus in the box. Can this computer be laid on its side when in use? Maybe with a lightweight 27" monitor on top?

This IdeaCentre Tower was designed strictly to be used vertically, upright. In theory, if you used the Tower in a horizontal position, you would need to ensure that the vent on the left side if facing up, and that the monitor on top would not obstruct this vent.
