Yoga 2-in-1 devices use different technology and pen protocols, the interface that helps the pen talk to the computer and vice versa. Pens like the Lenovo Digital Pen 2 (https://www.bestbuy.com/site/lenovo-digital-pen-2-gray/6580719.p?skuId=6580719), use AES pen protocol which is compatible with Yoga 2-in-1 devices. Pens using MPP protocol will also work.

There's also 2.5", which in most cases is also for HDD, but some solid-state drives (SSD) can be sized for this storage bay. When M.2 drives are mentioned, this is for PCIe (connect directly to the systemboard) SSD drives that are significantly smaller in size than older style SSDs. These M.2 SSDs come in different sizes, but this system will accommodate even the largest size, M.2 2280.
