is it good to watch movies on or stream?

Check with the movie provider, either the streaming service or the movie download service and find out what the minimum/recommended requirements are to enjoy their movies. If you are going to connect an external DVD player to watch movies, you will need to install commercial movie player software (there is none on any Windows 10 Home system). Once you decide on a commercial movie player software, check the minimum/recommended requirements to play movies with their software, then compare those requirements to this system's configuration.

This system does have a CD/DVD read-write drive. Windows 10 is the most advanced version of Windows Operating System available. It is very similar to Windows 7, the start menu is back. You can get a look at the basics of Windows 10 from this You Tube Video:
