No, the U530 uses a 65 watt AC adapter.

I own this computer and wish to upgrade the sound to a minimal surround capability, like a 5.1. What product do you recommend to maximize the audio performance, with a minimal expenditure. I have grey hair, and I used to play my music loud because it was cool. Now I do it because I have to!

The software and processor capability for 5.1 surround sound is already built in to this system. You need to add 5.1 surround sound speakers to take advantage of this capability. They come in a variety of price ranges.

Does this motherboard have crossfire for nvidia GPUs

I am wondering if I will have no trouble with putting in a nvidia gpu in replacement of the current gpu

The motherboard on this system does not have crossfire for Nvidia. This system is set up for the AMD FX processor and the pairing of the Radeon R9 M360 GPU. Check with the GPU manufacturer you are considering for their compatibility with this systems configuration.
